Spring Vibes and Besties | Inessa

Hey friends,

I'm back sharing a layout that brings all the spring vibes. I'm so ready for some warmer weather and for flowers! This layout is made with a mix of Bella's You Are My Sunshine and Bella Besties papers.

I started with a scrap piece of the Shine Bright paper (rainbow stripes) and cut the stripes apart. They measure to 5 .75" x 1.25" and have distressed edges. I then layered them slightly overlapping each other and staggering the start and finish. For dimension, i adhered them using foam tape to my white cardstock base. 

I used my cricut machine to cut out the flowers in various sizes and shapes from Bella Besties papers and patterned paper in the You Are My Sunshine collection. I then layered them together, folded the petals and added enamel dots for the centers. The flowers are adhered with liquid glue. 

The title is the Acrylic Word and I added ephemera, a flower sticker and a chip board heart.

Spring & Cut Files | Erica Thompson

Hello friends! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 that focuses on spring and cut files! Bella Blvd has a huge library of cut files over at the Silhouette Design Store and Lori Whitlock! 

I picked out the My Happy Place cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and cut out it on some white textured cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I pulled out some of my older Bella collections and pulled out some of my favorite papers from each collection and I love that I was able to pull together papers and embellishments from a few different collection and they all went well together!

The Welcome Home 12x12 pattern paper from the Home Sweet Home collection was my main color inspiration for my layout. This is one of my favorite papers ever from Bella Blvd. The florals are so pretty and easy to fussy cut. I also used this paper for the mat of my 12x12 scrapbook layout. 

For the base of my layout I used a piece of white textured cardstock that I trimmed down to 11x11 and matted this onto some pink pattern paper from the Squeeze the Day collection. I matted both of these onto the beautiful Welcome Home 12x12 paper. I knew I wanted to add a lot of florals around the cut file so I fussy cut some florals from the Welcome Home paper and also pulled out ephemera from the Chloe collection. 

The Chloe collection is a themed collection featuring cats but I found some great pieces in this collection that worked well for my layout. I backed the My Happy Place cut file with papers from different collections including, Squeeze the Day, Home Sweet Home, Bella Besties, Chloe and You Are My Sunshine. 

My photos are from my Spring Crop and I knew they would be perfect for his layout! I love when I get to spend time with my crafty friends for a weekend of fun! I always create a fun backdrop so we can take photos during the weekend! I added a thin mat around each photo and placed them to the right of the cut file. I created some fun floral clusters around the cut file and placed a Love word die cut under the photos. To add some texture and interest to some of the floral centers I added some Bella Blvd Trinket Puffy Stickers. This adds even more color and fun to each floral! I just love how this layout came together using so many different Bella Blvd. collections! It has all my favorite things in one layout!

Mood Board Week | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today and I'm super excited to share this layout I made using the gorgeous March Mood Board along with the You Are My Sunshine collection.  Here's my page:

I was immediately inspired by the top left square and decided to recreate that same watercolor rainbow look by spraying some Shimmerz Paints sprays onto a piece of thick white cardstock.  I went in rainbow order and sprayed each color and then brushed it down the page.  Super simple!

There's a super cute cloud right under the rainbow square, so I used the cloud Cut Outs from the Over The Rainbow Cut Outs pack.  I popped it up on foam tape and then for some extra sparkle, I applied some gold Stickles directly onto the clouds.  

For my title, I used one of the Ephemera Icons pieces and adhered it right on top of my photo.  I also matted my photo using a few of the patterned papers in the collection.  

When it was time to embellish, I did so by color blocking with more Ephemera Icons, Epoxy Stickers and the Fly Away Bella Pops.  

For some extra color and texture, I added some tangled thread in all of the colors and tucked in under the Cut Out.

March Mood Board | Laura Alberts

Hello friends! I'm using the stunning March mood board to inspire my layout this week. The rainbow, tiny hearts, and bright yellow caught my attention, and added to this grid style, were the primary focus for my design. Love the bright happy colors in this one!

I used the lovely Everyday Magic paper for the background and then layered the Bell Pepper Freehand Graph & Dot and My Only Sunshine striped patterned papers to create a column design on this 9x12 layout. Two of my photos are matted with bright pink Happy Thoughts and the larger photo is matted with a cut-apart piece from the Daily Details.

I outlined each section of my layout with a black gel pen to give it a shadow that adds the appearance of depth and dimension. Small clusters around my photos were a fun way to embellish a bold color scheme without overwhelming my photos.

For my title, I layered an acrylic word "Sparkle" over a chipboard scallop and a rainbow cluster on the right side. This helps to highlight my larger photo as the main focal image on the page.

I added 1/4" white cardstock strips for my journaling and added little fussy cut hearts to the ends. With a little gold Nuvo and ink spray, this layout really shines!

Spring Vibes + Cut Outs | Laura Alberts

Hello Friends! I'm back with a bright, sunshine-filled layout using the You Are My Sunshine collection. This layout starts with a Bella Besties background of Bell Pepper Graph and Dot, then I layered the lovely little clouds from the Over the Rainbow Cut Outs.

I backed the clouds with the Feeling Sunny and My Only Sunshine patterned papers, then tucked my photos in behind them. I added a strip from the Borders paper at the bottom and some larger chipboard pieces on first.

To embellish around the clouds, I used a lot of fussy cut icons, enamel shapes, and stickers from the Doohickey sticker sheet. This is such a fun, whimsical collection and I think it captures my daughter's imagination perfectly! 

To finish this one off, I drew a cloud at the bottom to hold my journaling and dotted black Nuvo drops and gold ink splatter around the clusters. I even drew in some tiny hearts for just a little more detail on this page.

Hello Friends! Laura here with a fun playground layout using the stunning You Are My Sunshine collection, one of my favorites from Bella Blvd! The butterflies are just so pretty, I love them. My daughters love to climb the monkey bars and swing, so I thought this was a great choice for a spring themed layout.

For the background, I used Bella Besties Ice Hearts and Ombre, then layered the Shine Bright patterned paper with a strip from the Borders and a scalloped sticker from the Doohickey sticker sheet to create a vertical column. Love how the ombre in the background carries your eye down the page.

I puzzled my photos around a cut apart piece from the Daily Deals patterned paper. Adding in a chipboard sunshine, a fussy cut rainbow, and a number of fussy cut florals, hearts, and butterflies to give the layout a sweet, whimsical feel.

For my title, I used the alphas from the Doohickey sticker sheet to spell out "fun in the sun" underneath my photos. A little bit of Nuvo and gold ink spray for splattering finished off the design.

Designer's Choice Week | Erica Thompson

Hello friends! I am so excited to be on the blog this week for Designer Choice! For my layout I decided to create a grid design using a mix of Squeeze the Day and You Are My Sunshine. 

I used a white piece of cardstock for my base that I trimmed down to 10.75x10.75. I matted it onto a few different pieces of pattern paper to frame the layout with fun color and pattern!

I created 4 photo strips sized at 9.50x2.50. I used four different pattern papers and then created mats sized at 2.25x2.25 out of the Young and Free Pattern Paper from the You Are My Sunshine collection. I wanted this layout to be colorful to match my photos from the fair. 

My photos are a little bit smaller than 2x2 and I matted each one on a different pattern paper. I adhered everything down to the layout base and I was left with 8 open spaces to add embellishments. 

I used ephemera, cardstock stickers and some Bella Pops from both collections to embellish my layout. 

One of my favorite things about using Bella is that I can mix and match collections and create a layout that comes together perfectly! Grid layouts are one of my favorite designs and this one is so full of color with pops of black and it makes me happy!

Squeeze the Day Collection | You Are My Sunshine Collection

Hey friends! Laura Alberts back again with a fun layout featuring the gorgeous You Are My Sunshine collection for these sweet photos from my daughter's field day at school. These bright, sunshiny colors were perfect for scrapping these fun-filled moments.

I began with the stunning Shine Bright patterned paper as the background and then added a nice large title from the Summer Sun Cut-Outs. Backing this Cut-Out title with the What A Day patterned paper filled with adorable icons was a perfect way to add some fun detail to this simple design.

I added two of the butterflies from the Summer Sun Cut-Out set as well, backed with the black and white polka dot on the back of the Young & Free patterned paper. Layered on top of these butterflies, I added 3D butterflies from the Fly High Pop-Ups. With a few cardstock stickers, fussy cut butterflies, and dragonflies fussy cut from the What A Day paper sprinkled around the clusters.

Love these large photo corners to add a bit of layering behind my photos. The finishing touches to this layout were to outline the Cut-Out with my pen for dimension, a few drops of black Nuvo, and journaling!

You Are My Sunshine Week, Day 2 | Erica Thompson

Do you love a grid design on a scrapbook page? Grids are one of my favorites on a scrapbook layout! They come together so quick and you can get a lot of photos on one 12x12 layout! Today I am going to be using the You Are My Sunshine collection to create a colorful grid layout! 

I printed out a bunch of park photos of Liam and I and printed them out on my Canon printer! They are about 1.75x1.75. I matted each photo on 2x2 pattern paper from the You Are My Sunshine collection. 

I had some 2x2 squares left over so I went ahead and added them in to the design so I could embellish the extra squares. I trimmed a piece of white textured cardstock to 11x11 and adhered to a piece of pattern paper from the You Are My Sunshine collection that I trimmed to 11.25x1.25.

For the base of the layout I used the 12x12 What A Day paper from the same collection. I love all the colors and icons on this paper and I think it is great to use as a base! 

I laid out my photos and extra squares in the center of my page and used my tape runner to stick them down. I used die cuts and stickers from the You Are My Sunshine collection to embellish the open squares and some of the photos. 

I pulled out the Aria black puffy alpha stickers to add my title along the bottom of the page. 

To finish off my layout I used some black with white polka dot corner stickers to add to my white textured cardstock. This brings in another pop of black and just adds another little detail to my page.

You Are My Sunshine Week: It's All in the Details

Hello everyone! Hope you are ready to have a fantastic week. For the Bella Blvd Creative Team, this week's focus is on the You Are My Sunshine collection. I chose to document a photo of our oldest daughter and my husband at a family wedding.

 

 

To start off the layout, I cut a large circle from the patterned paper named 'Sunshine' and adhered it onto white cardstock. This will be the foundation of where all of my other circular elements will be. I did a zig-zag stitch around the circle to create a sun-like image. I also added some Nuvo drops in the color 'Dandelion' by the stitching to further accentuate the sun. I also added a border around my layout using the patterned paper named 'Everyday Magic'.

 

 

Next, I cut my photo in a circle and added a vellum circle behind it. I also cut some circles from the patterned papers 'Daily Details'. I used the multi-colored hearts, rainbow quote and hot air balloon pieces from that paper. I also cut out the "Hello Sunshine" piece to represent the title of my layout. I adhered these next to my photo and at the top left of the sun.

 

 

Lastly, I worked on adding a few more details to the circle clusters. I grabbed the patterned paper named 'Happy Thoughts', fussy cut out the colored polka dots and added them to the clusters. I also adhered some flowers from the 'Hello Summer' epoxy stickers as well as some butterflies fussy cut from the patterned paper 'Young & Free'.
