Tiny Tots 2.0 & Time to Travel week - Day 1 - Emilie Chamel

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying this summer! Here with the school holidays, we are keeping the kids busy the best we can which means the occasional dress-up day. And who says dress-up says mummy has her camera to the ready! In this post I am showing how versatile Tiny Tots 2.0 can be, let's have a look!

I love my little Sophia in her Belle's dress. She is so cute! And I was so lucky that she agreed to play along to a photoshoot while wearing her dress. I knew I wanted to use these photos for my Tiny Tots 2.0 project. The collections has a few florals and it also has yellow, red and green papers which I knew I would want to use.

You can't think of the Beauty and the Beast without thinking of the rose. I therefor decided to create a 3D rose out of the ABC's papers. I then cut out some leaves out of the You're A Star paper to accompany the rose. To mat my photographs, I used the yellow side of the Be Brave paper. The yellow matting really helps to link the layout with the color of her dress.

I then used a Bella BLVD cut-file from the Silhouette shop to create my title. With my Cricut I was able to add an offset layer underneath the title which I cut-out of the Bella Besties Heart and Ombre in Pink. The main cut-out was made out of plain white cardstock but I re-cut the center letter from the Ombre side of the Yellow Heart and Ombre paper. This helped to repeat again the yellow from the dress.

For my background I settled on the green Heart and Ombre paper. I felt that it was best fitting for the rose to rest on. If you see my process video though you will know that this was not my first choice and after sleeping on my original idea this was changed to this beautiful green!

The finishing touch came in the shape of some ladybirds as well as some flowers to create cluster around the rose and the photograph. A few extra words to add to my title and I was happy with the final result! The date stamped above the photographs balanced the only bit of black in the shape of my subtitle.

And there it is! We are far away from a baby or toddler layout and yet I was able to use several elements from the Tiny Tots 2.0 collection. I love to use the colours of the papers to pull the story in a different direction than first intended!

My Candy Girl + Hearts & Ombre Week Day 2 | Yarelys Rodriguez

Hey there Bella Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you a new layout! To make this layout I used the Hearts & Ombre and My Candy Girl collection. I also used one Bella Cut File.

I usually use a white cardstock as the base of my layouts, this time I picked the Hearts & Ombre in Peep. Next, I cut the Sweet Love cut file and backed the hearts with the Sprinkled With Love paper.

To build my layout, I glued the cut file and my photo with adhesive foam to create dimension. I also glued a couple of tags from the ephemera behind the photo. Then, I went through the papers of the collection and picked the All Girl paper, fussy cut some of the hearts and glued them.

To finish my layout, I added flowers and banners from the Ephemera. I also added Puffy Stickers, Ciao Chip, a couple of Cute Clips and white splatters.

To the Moon & Hearts & Ombre Week Day 3 | Niki Rowland

 

Hi everyone! This is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and I have a new layout and process video to share today using the To the Moon Collection and specifically the ‘Cut-Out’ kit. This is actually my first time using a Cut-Out kit and I was super impressed!

 

 

The Cut-Outs come with a pre-cut cut file and coordinating templates, making it super easy to back the apertures. I rough-cut out the letters on the template, placed these on top of the patterned papers I chose for each letter, and then cut around the template with it on top of the paper. This meant that I cut the perfect sized backing piece! What an ingenious idea and these kits are so amazing for people who do not have electronic cutting machines!

I spent a bit of time working out what paper I wanted for each letter. I used papers from To the Moon and also Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre. I then cut each one out and stuck it to the back of the cut file. The ‘reveal’ when it’s finished and you turn it over is just the best!

I splattered the black star paper from the To the Moon Collection with white acrylic paint. I then added the Cut-Out to the background paper, all raised on foam pads.

I wanted to keep my embellishments fairly simple as this was already a very busy layout due to all the different patterns used! I therefore added a few simple clusters only. I fussy cut some planets, added a Bella Pop rocket and punched some stars. I also added a few small pieces of ephemera and some label stickers.

Designer’s Choice Week | Yarelys Rodriguez

Hey there Bella Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you a new layout! For this layout I used the You Are My Sunshine collection, as well as one Bella Cut Out and one Bella Cut File.

I love butterflies and I wanted to use the Young & Free paper. So, I went for it and fussy cut a lot of the butterflies, even the tiny ones. Then, I picked the butterflies from the Summer Sun Cut Out, and backed with the Shine Bright paper. Next, I went through the Ephemera and picked the butterflies.

I wanted my background to have color, but not a lot, I wanted it to be subtle. So, I used the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons in light blue and the Geometric Background cut file as a stencil, and lightly painted the background.

With the background already painted, I built my layout. I glued the cut outs and my photo with adhesive foam to create dimension. Then, glued the butterflies I had fussy cut. For the title I used a piece of ephemera and to finish my layout, I added Bella-Pops, Doohickey, Ephemera and white splatters.

Winter Projects Week- Day 1 | Yarelys Rodriguez

Hey there Bella Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you a new layout! To make this layout I used the Let Us Adore Him Collection, the Bella Besties and one Bella Cut File.

I started my layout by painting a white cardstock with colors that match with the collection, cut it into strips and made a border on each one. Then, I cut a circle and cover it with the strips.

Once I had all the strips glued, I went through the papers of the collection and picked the Grace, Oh Holy Night and Prince Of Peace and backed the Baby, It’s Cold Outside cut file with them.

To build the layout I glued the circle, my photo and the cut file. For this I used adhesive foam to create dimension. Then, I fussy cut some flowers from the Purity paper and made clusters with them. To finish my layout, I backed the layout with the Bella Besties Graph & Dot in Gulf and Bell Pepper, and added Ciao Chip, Ephemera, Puffy Stickers and Enamels.

Let Us Adore Him & Cut Files Day 4 | Niki Rowland

Hey everyone! This is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and here is a new layout and process video using the Let Us Adore Him collection which is super cute! This week we are all using cut files and I chose to use the Stripe Tree which is available from the Silhouette Design Store. I loved the colour scheme of the cut file graphic so decided to stick with that and cut it in red and pink.

I started with a white background which I mounted onto red heart paper from the Let Us Adore Him collection. I added a large yellow strip across the page. This paper is so pretty with the tone-on-tone yellow stars. I distressed the edges too of course!

 

I then added my photo which I turned into a pocket by only sticking on three sides. I added my cut file tree to the left of my photo together with lots of other ephemera trees. I love how this looks and I also added stars to the top of each of my other trees! I mirrored this on the right side of the photo too.

 

I added some ribbon to one of the ephemera tags and put this in my pocket behind the photo and wrote my journaling onto this.

For my title I added the word ‘Merry’ which is a green acrylic word across the bottom of my cut file tree. I also added the word ‘days’ using the cute red alphabet stickers on the 12x12 cardstock stickers from the Let Us Adore Him collection.

I added two clusters of ephemera flowers and stuck enamel dots all over the cut file tree – I love how this looks! I finished off with a few splatters of white paint. There is a process video below if you would like to watch along.

Off The Page Projects | Christmas Cards | Yarelys Rodriguez

Hey there Bella Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys he to share with you a new project! This time I made three Christmas cards using the Let Us Adore Him collection.

To start my cards, I cut three pieces of white cardstock and folded it in half. Then, I went through the papers of the collection and picked the Humble, Oh Holy Night and Rebirth, and cut a piece of each paper.

Now it’s time to build my cards! For the Joy card, I glued a piece of the Humble paper. Then, I cut a piece of white cardstock, hand stitched around it and glued it. Then, I glued the word Joy with adhesive foam to give it dimension.

For the Holy card, I glued a piece of the Oh Holy Night paper and a piece of white cardstock on top. Then, I glued ephemera and the Holy, Holy, Holy die cut.

And for the Merry Christmas card, I glued two pieces of the Rebirth paper. Then, I glued some of the Christmas trees from the ephemera and the Merry Christmas die cut.

To finish my cards, I added Puffy Stickers, Enamels and Epoxy.

Sketch Week Day 5 | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today for Sketch Week!  I really enjoy working with sketches not only because they're a great jumping point for any project, but also because they help me stretch my creativity by making me try different designs!  This week, the Creative Team is focusing on the oh so beautiful Let Us Adore Him collection and I'm having so much fun working with it.  I have a process video at the end of this post that I hope you'll check out!  Here's my layout: 

 

 

Here's the gorgeous sketch designed by fellow CT member, Niki Rowland: 

 

 

The sketch has a couple of large trees which can be interpreted into anything that suits your page. I wanted to keep mine as trees so I drew and cut them out on textured white cardstock.  I wanted to jazz mine up a bit so I took some Shimmerz sprays in green tones from my stash and smooshed each tree into the green sprays.  I did the process two times so that there was some variation and interest when the paint dried.   

 

 

I wanted a bit of color on my background so I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide ink pads from my stash.  The sketch has a bunch of small stars in the background so I took a Paige Evans stencil and pushed some glimmer paste through it.  I love the added extra sparkle and texture it gave to my background and looks just like snow! 

 

 

Next, I trimmed down my background and adhered it to bottom right corner of the Humble 12x12 patterned paper.  I distressed the edges and added some stitching using pink thread for some interest.  

 

 

I created my title using a phrase from the Ciao Chip Chipboard sticker sheet and adhered it down along with my photo cluster, similar to what the sketch called for.  I didn't deviate away from the sketch too much, I really loved the original design!

 

 

I created my embellishment clusters using the ephemera icons and word packs as well as the puffy stickers.  

 

 

For the circle elements in the tree, I used the epoxy dots from a few Heart Hugs packs.  I included a small green Heart Hug and even pulled in one of the Cute Clips to my photo cluster.

Let Us Adore Him, Puffies & Florence Week- Day 4| Niki Rowland

 

Hey everyone, this is Niki @nikiclairecreates and I have a new layout and video to share today using the Let Us Adore Him Collection. I really love this cute collection which is packed full of pretty Christmas colours and icons.

I opted for a star theme today and cut out several stars from the patterned papers in the collection. I used metal dies for this and cut three different sized stars from five different papers. I wanted some solid pink too so grabbed a sheet from my Bella Besties pack. I then scored each of the stars five times from each point, then folded them all to create 3D stars. I love the effect and they are so very easy to do!

I arranged all my stars onto the layout together with my photo and a few squares from the ephemera. I arranged these on both sides of the layout, leaving a gap in the middle. I wanted my title to be the middle feature of the layout so having that gap worked as a great place for my title.

I created my title out of an ephemera word ‘Christmas’ and then used the beautiful Florence Alphabet stickers in red to create the rest of the title, which reads ‘the magic of Christmas’.

I then added lots of adorable puffy stickers! I used the ones from this collection to add trees and stars. I also added red puffy Trinkets – hearts and stars. I also added enamel stars and a few dots too.

I finished off the layout with splatters of white paint. I absolutely love how this one turned out. Enjoy watching the video below.

To start my layout, I drew the shape of the cut-out and painted around it. While my background dried, I went through the papers of the collection and picked the Grace, Humble, Oh Holy Night and Prince Of Peace.

Once my background dried, I glued the cut-out and filled it with the papers of the collection I had picked. For this I used adhesive foam to create dimension. Then glued my photo and added flowers from the Ephemera.

For my title I used the word love from the Ciao Chip. To finish my layout I added more Ephemera, Ciao Chip, Doohickey and Enamels.

Zoom! Mini Album | Niki Rowland | To the Moon Collection

 

Hi everyone! I have a new mini album and process video to share today for Bella Blvd using the To the Moon Collection. I adore this collection, it’s super cute and so perfect for my little boy who loves rockets and all things space.

I have a number of photos of him with his favorite rockets, so I decided to make a mini album using one of the Bella Blvd cut files from Silhouette Design Store as the base of the pages. It is simply called Rocket and is a layered cut file which makes it super easy to achieve a multicolored effect.

I cut all the pieces of the cut file using the To the Moon Bella Besties coordinating paper pack. I cut five bases, three from Blueberry and two from Pickle Juice. I then cut the other pieces in different colors and I mixed and matched the sides so I had a variety of patterns.

For three of the pages I wanted to create opening pages so I stitched the main body of the rocket onto the base but only down the left side. This created a door that could open and close. I added machine stitching around the outside edges of the rocket too.

Inside the opening pages I created fold out tri folds to hold more photos and journaling too. I added closures to the opening pages so they wouldn’t fall open. I did this with a punched shape, a brad and some twine secured under the photo.

Some of the pages hold photos, whilst the others are purely decorative. I fussy cut planets from one of the To the Moon papers and used loads of ephemera. I also used chipboard stickers and stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet. I added an adorable Bella Pop robot too.

I secured the pages together on a book ring. Punching a hole in the top of each page meant that the opening pages wouldn’t open (!) so I cut a notch in the opening part so they would still open.
