Fa La La & Cut Outs Week Day 1 | Erica Thompson

Have you tried the new Bella Blvd Cut-Outs yet? I was super excited to see new designs released from Bella Blvd and one of my favorites is the Pie Charts Cut-Outs. This background cut out can be used for so many different layouts and I want to show you how I used it for a holiday layout. 

The pie chart reminded me of holiday candies and I thought it would be cute to back the file using some of the bella besties paper. For my background I used one of the new Hearts & Ombre besties and splashed some white acrylic paint before adhering my backed cut out. 

Adding white splatters helps to add some interest in the background so things do not look so flat. It also reminds me of snow which is perfect for a holiday layout. For my photos I punched them out using a 2 inch circle punch and popped them up around the page. I really love using circle photos and this cut file gave me the perfect spots to add my photos around the page. 

I added a few Fa La La embellishments to the center of the circles and any spots left open I used the beautiful matte enamel dots from Bella Blvd. These dots remind me of the candy dots and thought they would be perfect centers for the pie charts!

Mood Board Inspired with Nathalie

Hello Bella Blvd. friends!

Nathalie with you today with a new layout that is inspired on the new August Mood Board.  I hope that you all are safe and enjoying the glorious Summer days ( for all of us who are in the Northern Hemisphere).  This month's mood board is all about sunshine, summer and color

I just love all about it, and was inspired to create this new layout:

 

 

The floaties in the lower left square made me think of these pictures of my niece while on vacation, so I made sure to bring the water feel to the page by adding a few strips of the Daily Ideas paper (Let's Go On An Adventure collection) to recreate water waves at the bottom of the layout.  I gave the strips of paper a bit of texture (just like in the moodboard's top center square)

 

One of the more prominent colors in the moodboard is pink, so i pull the Fairy Garden paper (Let's Go On An Adventure collection) for the background of the page.  Once i added the paper strips, i used some epoxy stickers and chipboard (Splash Zone) to bring the floatie and water images from the mood board.

 

 

All the words in the rocks and quote on the moodboard brought the idea of mixing fonts and color to create the title.  I used the Hello Summer cut file to cut the words from Bella Bestie papers, then cut an offset of the title from white cardstock.  A bit of foam adhesive helps to add dimension to the page!

 

 

I backed the pictures of my niece with papers from the Splash Zone collection, and then placed on the page.  I created embellishment clusters at the corners of the pictures using pieces from different Bella Blvd collections.   Just to balance the page, i added a small cluster at the very top of the page.  Then added pops of color using some matte enamel dots.

JULY MOOD BOARD Inspiration with Nathalie

Hello there!

Nathalie with you today with one more project inspired by this month's Mood Board.   July is here, and the colors and feel of the squares in the board are just so Summery that it was so easy to put a project together.  Let me show you the Inspirational board:

All the water feel, the stripes, the waves and the bright colors were the inspiration for this page all about one of my Goddaughters love for water:

 

Don't you just love all the colors and texture on the page.  This layout came together rather easily using a combination of papers from various Bella Blvd collections.

I started with a piece of left over Truck Parade paper (NSD layout) from the Fireworks and Freedom collection over white cardstock as the base for the page.  This already brings the watercolor to the page, and follows the tile design in the pictures.   I love the stripes in the bottom square of the board, so i cut strips of papers from Bella Besties, Splash Zone and Plaids & Dotty collections to bring some of the colors to the page.  I glued them to the top of the background, and then hand stitched the wave pattern on each stripe.

 

 

I pulled the pictures of my Goddaughter and backed them with papers from the Splash Zone collection.  A bit of foam adhesive help to make them pop from teh page.   I pulled embellishments from the Splash Zone collection to create the clusters at the corners of the pictures.

 

To create the title, i used the large chipboard waves (Splash Zone collection) to bring the wave element from the board to the page, then used the Florence Alphabet stickers to complete the title work.  A few drops of shimmer  and white  ink, and a few lines of journal under the pictures complete the page.

 

 

I love how this page came together rather easily by using a few of the images of the Mood Board as inspiration. Cannot wait to see what you create using this moodboard.  Remember to share with us what you create, we love being inspired by you all!

LOVE Cards | Dorymar

Hello Friends!!! It’s Dorymar here today sharing three beautiful Love Cards. It's February and we're celebrating the month of love! It’s a special month to express how much we care about our loved ones.

To create these cards, I used elements from various collections. In this card, I used the beautiful hearts of the Christmas cut-outs and filled with papers from the Squeeze the Day and Home Sweet Home collection. Then I added die cuts from the ephemera words pack to create the message.

I think Bella Blvd collections have great value! All the elements are coordinated in colors and you can use them as many times as you want.

Here you can see how I used several elements of the Squeeze the Day collection to create this colorful card to offer to my favorite sweet person!

One of the things I enjoy the most when working with Bella Blvd papers is to be able to search among so many beautiful goodies and be able to mix and match everything.

For this card, I used the chipboard stickers, the rainbow of the pop-pops and the feeling of the ephemera words.

They’re quick and fun to embellish and the possibilities are endless!

There is so much to love with Bella Blvd collections! The colors, the designs, the feelings, that you can create beautiful projects that will make you express your love with cards and designs as cute as this. They will make you smile and fill your loved ones with love.

SNOW Awesome Large Titles Scrapbooking Layout| Heather

I like big titles and I cannot lie! Hey everyone, Heather Leopard here with a large title scrapbooking layout. There's something about large titles that I just love. I guess they just grab your attention and are a really fun design element.

I searched through my photos for something wintery. I knew I wanted to scrap about winter because I was being drawn to snowflakes, specifically the snowflakes paper in the Santa Squad collection. I also discovered that Bella Blvd has some fun snowflake cut files so my mind was made up.

To get started on this layout, I mocked up the layout in my Silhouette software. I knew I was going to be using a supersized title - a simple "SNOW" would do but I wanted to make sure I didn't make it too big or too little.  Mocking it up first didn't take much time at all and I got the perfect fir.  It also allowed me to right size the snowflakes.  As I was adding them to the page I was designing in the software, I kept making them bigger and bigger. I decided they should help frame the title so I super sized them as well. FYI, my designed changed once I got everything cut out but the size of the elements remained the same.

While the title and snowflakes were cutting, I added a subtle patterned paper to the top 1/3 of the page as well as a border at the top, middle and bottom. I then added some mist / color including some white shimmer mist that you may not be able to see well but looks gorgeous in person, and some pops of pink and teal using the Illustrated Faith paints.

Once everything was cut and the background was dry, I added the snowflakes (also with white shimmer mist) and the large title.  

Once I had the border that consisted of snowflake patterned paper and the white misted snowflakes, I added the word "SNOW" on top.

Lastly, I added some patterned paper and embellishments around the photo and around the page as well as journaling strips to tell the story of the day.  

So tell me, do you ever use such a prominent feature, such as a supersized title? I LOVE using this design element on my pages!

Winter Cards | Kelly Holbrook

Hello everyone! It's Kelly here today sharing a few more cards made with the Santa Squad collection:

I also used bits and pieces from the brand new Cut-Outs. I used Wonderland Cut Outs for this one, and the inside reads "Warm Winter Wishes from our house to yours."

 

For this one, I used the Christmas Cut Outs, and trimmed off of few of the tags to fit nicely on this card. The inside reads "Very Merry Winter Blessings."

On this last one I used the Little Helpers Cut Outs, I trimmed off the Santa for the house to stand alone. I also used a piece of Clear Cut patterned paper to make the middle of the card see - through. The inside reads "Merry and Bright."

Mixing and Matching Collections| Tegan

This week's mission to create a layout with 2 or more Bella Blvd collections was a piece of cake because they all mix and match so easily! I starting by grabbing a large stack of different collections and then sorted through them for winter or non-themed items. It was actually fun...kind of like a treasure hunt! I think I ended up using 6 collections (7 if you count the Acrylic Word from the Bug Explorer collection)! Do you spy a little bit of Santa Squad, Let's Go On An Adventure, Wish Big Girl, Santa Stops Here, Squeeze the Day, or the Merry Christmas collection?! 

I started by using the Bella Blvd Snowflake Cut File and electronic die cut machine to cut five 3" tall snowflakes out of white cardstock. I then backed them with different colors of patterned paper. I had pulled out a combination of Acrylic Words and die cut pieces that could be used to describe winter, so I adhered those to the different snowflakes. Sure, winter can be such a bummer! But it really is a fascinating thing if you stop and think about it! 

I embellished the snowflakes with enamel dots from the Heart Hugs packs and Christmas Mix Enamel Dots from the Santa Squad collection. I really wanted to mix and match the colors to create a colorful layout!

The penguin Santa Squad Epoxy Sticker was perfect for adding a touch of winter. I also added Word Salad stickers on the snowflakes to add color around the page. And of course I used Word Salad stickers that could be used to describe winter!

I had so much fun mixing and matching the collections to create a fun and colorful winter layout! I can't decide which snowflake is my favorite, can you?

Winter Themed Layout || Kelly

Hello Everyone! It's Kelly here today sharing a winter themed layout using Santa Squad and Bella Besties:

I used two different patterned papers from each collection to form the triangle background, and stitched them together before topping it with the snowflake cluster from the Winter Wonderland Cut-Outs. I popped the snowflakes up with dimensional tape so that it would stand out a little bit better from the busy background.

I backed my title with Clear Cuts Ice Stars...I thought that was pretty fitting and did give it an 'icy' feel.

Epoxy stickers are always a great way to top off any project!

The Best Time of the Year | Erica Thompson

Hey friends! Erica here with you today sharing another holiday layout using one of the Bella Blvd Cut Out! I love how easy they are to use. They really help make your page pop and a great way to use the fun Bella patterns on a layout.

I love using the Bella Blvd 6x6 Santa Squad paper pad to back the cut out. I like to trace inside the letters and cut around my lines. I always turn the pattern paper over along with the cut out and get a great fit to the cut out. One of my favorite things to do is add embellishments to the cut out! I like to have pieces peeking out behind letters or nestled into a letter. If you look at the letter C you see two stickers inside the curve of the C! I just love the way this looks!

The photos are of our son Liam Jay on Christmas Eve. We were so excited for him this year to open gifts! He is at a fun age and he had fun tearing the wrapping paper and finding his gift! I love printing photo collages like this for my  layouts. The photo is almost a 4x6 and I am able to get 4 photos on the layout! Here is a look at my completed layout!

Reindeer Games - 3 Cards with Christine

I'm sorry, but I just can't imagine there is anything cuter than the reindeer in the Santa Squad collection. Fun and whimsical they can add such a lighthearted twist to a project.  I created a set of 3 cards that I'm calling "Reindeer Games" because they all feature these adorable reindeer!

First up I built one combining the tags and speech bubbles from the Santa Squad Ephemera alongside epoxy pieces and the Ciao Chip Reindeer.

I love that I was able to use epoxy pieces to coordinate perfectly with the ephemera!

Patterned paper cut apart cards are great for building your cards around and that is exactly what happened on my next two cards.  

A combination of Washi Tape and Puffy Stars round out this simple card that's packed with dimension.

I think this silly one is probably my favorite of the three!  Those ephemera reindeer along with the sentiment just make me smile!

I used my craft knife to create little slits for my reindeer to tuck into.  This adds such a fun touch of whimsy and doesn't require any fancy techniques!
