CATurday | Aria Puffy Alphas | Patricia

Hi there, Bella Blvd Friends!  This post is all about the brand new Aria Puffy Alphas and the new Cat Mix and Dog Matte Enamels!  They are sooo worth the wait and every bit a must have for scrapbookers.  I used the alphas and the enamels in my traveler's notebook to document 'CATurday,' which is cat lingo for Saturday ;)

With the title 'CATurday' in mind, I was inspired to use the alphas to show the days of the week to resemble a calendar, and then emphasize and spell out my title.  First, I trimmed the Chloe pattern papers in various colors to coordinate with the alphas to about 1"x11/2" to create my days of the week across the middle of both pages.  To add more color and a mat for my two photos at the bottom, I used the flip side of those same pattern papers trimmed to about 1"x3."  I added machine stitching to all of the pattern paper pieces before adhering.

With the papers in place, I coordinated the Aria Puffy Alphas with the papers for the days of the week, then used those same colors to create my mixed title, adding in some of the adorable Chloe chipboard pieces.  

The fish in place of the 'y' is my favorite.  After everything was in place, I added the Chloe die cuts and the Dog and Cat Mix Enamels at the top.  Then typed my journaling on cardstock, trimmed and adhered.  To be consistent with the stitching, I added stitching to the die cuts and my journaling.

The Aria Puffy Alphas are sooo good to work with!!!  I love that they are matte, come in so many colors, and are a perfect size, even for my notebook!  Thank you so much for stopping by, and happy creating with the new Aria Puffy Alphas!

Puppy Dog | Brianna Lepper - Cooper Cut Files

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today sharing this cute dog layout using some new Bella Blvd cut files along with the new Cooper collection.  If you haven't had a chance to check out Bella's newly released cut files, you can find them here.  

First, I chose both the Dog Title and Paw Prints cut files for my layout. In my Silhouette Software, I duplicated the Paw Prints cut file several times and staggered them around the page, to create somewhat of a stencil.  I sized the Dog Title a bit larger so that I could use it as a large title. Then I cut everything out on white textured cardstock.  

Next, I added some white gesso onto a piece of thick cardstock to prep it for mixed media.  Then, I took my Paw Print cut file/stencil and applied modeling paste through it.  After everything was dry, I added some colorful and shimmery sprays from my stash right on top.  I painted on all of the colors and added water here and there to let everything run and blend.  Look at those cute puppy paw prints!

I backed my photo using the 6x6 papers from both the Cooper and Chloe collection.  I wanted the Dog Title to sit on top of those layers so I added foam strips to the cut file and adhered that down.  I love how the title really stands out against all of the mixed media.  I also added a blue Cute Clip to my photo layers to add another element of texture. I just love that blue felt bow!

I felt like I needed more embellishments to the top left of my page so I pulled these cute banner pieces from the Ephemera Words pack to add to my title.  I pulled a few paper punches from my stash and punched out some shapes to layer underneath the banner shapes and then ran it through my sewing machine.  I added a few stickers from the Chloe cardstock stickers and some epoxy hearts from Cooper.  

I most definitely wanted to add a few of the adorable dog ephemera pieces onto my page so I created a cluster to the left of my photo.   In the photo, my dog Pippa was looking off to the left so I thought it would be fitting to add some friends for her to be looking at.  I punched out some circles and layered them under them and layered a cute chipboard bone and blue enamel dots from the Heart Hugs stickers.  

I decided to add a few bits on the right side of my photo so I popped up a cardstock sticker on some foam and then added a bunch of hearts in a cluster right by the cut file. Since I had so many pops of black and white, I finished off my layout by adding washi tape to the top and bottom of my page.  I love how it turned out!

National Garfield Cat Day | Patricia

Happy National Garfield Cat Day, Bella Blvd Friends!!!  I will admit I was always a fan of Garfield when I was a kid.  In honor of Garfield, I created a project with a big bold orange cat as the focus of this project today!  Similar to my first Chloe project using just the background of cut files, I did the same here, but made it large enough to cover both sides of my pages.  Once that was cut from the white cardstock, I backed it with Chloe pattern paper in orange and stitched around it.

Trimmed it down to fit my album, added my typed journaling and started adding die cuts and other Chloe embellishments to the left side, adding a sticker to be the 'collar.'  And then I focused on adding photos to the right side, keeping one large and the other two smaller.

Then tucked leftover pattern paper from my first project under the photos, and continued framing them with more die cuts from the collection to finish.

My first project I added a die cut bow to my calico cat.  On this one, I added a chipboard crown since it is National Garfield Cat Day!

Love That Look | Nathalie DeSousa

Hi there!  Nathalie with you today to share a new layout using the new Chloe collection from Bella Blvd.    My niece and nephew  finally got one of their biggest wishes, a pet.  Since we already have Poochie, our Boston Terrier, they went with Chico, our cat-nephew.  So, i pulled the first pictures of my newest nephew to create this page.

 

 

I started this page by adding a bit of mixed media (watercolors) to the Fat and Sassy Paper.  I chose blues and a bit of orange, as those are the main colors in the pictures.

 

 

While the background dried, i carefully separated the word "Love" from the Live Love Meow cut-out.  The cut-outs make the process so easy and quick, a must have.   I used a bit of foam adhesive to back the empty letter spaces with the orange paper from the 6x6 paper pad, then chose to use the  gray paper to back the paw print.  

 

 

I backed the pictures with papers from the 6x6 paper pad and Daily Details paper, then backed the pictures with a piece of Orange Hearts Clear cuts.  The transparency adds a soft pop of the orange color on the page.   With so many cute embellishments, it was so easy to beautify ( i hope that is a word!)  the page.

 

 

I pulled pieces from the ephemera packs, Doo Hickey stickers, Ciao Chips, and epoxy hearts.  I also added a few puffy Orange mix Star stickers, and my cat-nephew's name to the top of the page using the Florence alphabet.

 

 

To finish the page, i trimmed the layout at the top and bottom edge, and glued it to the Cattitude paper.  This gave me a perfect spot to add more embellishments at the bottom of the page, and my lines of journal.

 

 

I love how this page turned out! The colors and designs in the collection are perfect to document my new cat-nephew.  BE sure to check the new Chloe collection, you are going to love it!

Adorable Kitty layout - Lisa Fonseca

Hey friends, it's Lisa back with a new layout. 

I created it using the brand new collection called Chloe. 

When I first went through the new collection, I knew I wanted to create something with the Cut-Outs. There's a big flower cluster and some single flowers included in the pack. I also fell in love with the pink patterned paper with the cat heads and wanted to use it as a background. 

To start, I took the pink patterned paper and did some mixed media on it using gesso first and then creating some splotches of color with my watercolors. While that was drying, I backed the flower Cut-Outs with some cute patterned papers in orange, beige, blue, pink and yellow. Then I pierced some holes around the centers of some of the flowers to do some hand-stitching. I used matching thread and the chain-link stitch.

I wanted to add leaves, so I hand-cut them out and stitched a line through the middle with green thread. When I had all my pieces, I arranged everything on my background to see how I liked it and to decide where to put my photo. I matted my photo on two layers of patterned paper and then placed it on the background too. When I was happy with the placement, I started to adhere everything, using liquid glue and foam squares.

I went through all of the embellishments and chose stuff I wanted to add. I added a wavy white sticker to the top and bottom of the photo, a layered flower sticker, some pink hearts and some colorful circles I fussy-cut out from the back side of the same patterned paper, I used for the background. I also added a cute little ephemera mouse and of course this super adorable layered cat sticker.

Then I only had to add the title. I used an ephemera piece saying "kitty" and added the word "adorable" with the Wonky Alpha. I finished with black, white and gold splatters.

I really think the layout turned out super cute and if you have a cat, you definitely need this collection :)

Loved You Furst | Patricia

Hello Bella Blvd Friends!  I'm so excited to share my first project using the new Chloe collection!  This collection gets to the heart of cat lovers.  For today, I used the collection and cut files to create in my Traveler's Notebook.  Here's how it started.

Using the 6x6 paper pad, I trimmed squares to about 1 1/4".  Then I used a Chloe cut files of cats, but did not use all of the parts to build the entire cut file image, just the silhouette or background part of it.  I used the same 6x6 paper pads.  I wanted to show off the beautiful colors and patterns of the collection, and the squares helped me do that on the left side here.  I added machine stitching to each square and then foam adhered the die cut cats.  

I filled in with lots of the die cuts, and used one of them as my title.  To add a little more texture and draw your eye over to the large photo on the right, I used this adorable chipboard piece from the collection.  I typed my journaling on a separate piece of cardstock, trimmed and adhered.  I then adhered this entire page into my Traveler's Notebook.

For my right side, I am using a large photo to cover the page.  I printed, trimmed, and adhered it to my notebook.   Then I finished this with one of the stickers as a border along the edge, and die cuts to finish.  That bow and paw are the perfect last little details!

Totally LOVED working with this collection!  It has the perfect mix of gorgeous, cute and colorful patterns and colors and plenty of embellishments to accent!

Adorable Puppers | Nathalie DeSousa

Hi there Bella Blvd. friends!

Nathalie with you today with a new project using the new COOPER collection.  Being a Fur-mama to our 10 yr old Boston Terrier baby is probably one of the most rewarding experiences.   So, you can imagine how much i love this collection, as i get to document our little boy using the fun colors and designs. 

 

I started the page by adding a bit of blue and aqua watercolor on the background.  My idea was to bring focus to two area -in a diagonal line- on the page.  While the watercolor dried, i pulled papers from the Cooper collection to build layers behind the pictures of our baby boy.

I overlapped the pictures when attaching them  together, and then cut a few pieces from the Daily Details paper, and mixed them with pieces from the 6x6 paper pad.  I made sure that most of the colors in the collection are represented in the paper layers.

To build the page, i cut two strips of the Paws paper and attached it to the right and left edge of the page. I added  the colorful scalloped strip from the Doohickey cardstock sticker under the paper strip, and cut a second strip from Borders paper ( so that both sides of the layout mirror each other).   I added the pictures and all the paper layers at the top left side of the page.  

 

With so many cute stickers and pieces of ephemera was so easy to embellish the page.  I added a few word stickers from the World Salad sticker tablet in between layers, and i love the small cute clips, so i added one to the tag in the cluster.   

My title came together so easily by combining the Adorable acrylic word and the large word ephemera piece.  I backed one of the pieces from the Faithful Friends cut outs with vellum and attached it at the end of the title.

I created a last cluster of ephemera and stickers at the bottom right end of the title.   Once again, i made sure to use pieces that represent most of the colors from the collection.  This small cluster created the perfect spot for all my lines of journal.   All that i added to end the page were a few puffy Orange stars.

 

 

I love this collection, as it is perfect to document our little guy with colorful and fun designs.  Be sure to check it out, as you are going to love it, too!

Love You Puppers Layout - Tegan Skwiat

Eek! I was so excited when the brand new dog themed Cooper collection was released! I am a self-proclaimed crazy dog mom, so this collection is perfect for me. Needless to say, I had a blast using the Cooper collection on this layout of my senior fur child, Pixie.

I used the super cool gray patterned backside of the Borders Patterned Paper as my base paper. I then made sure I used my favorite new Paw Prints washi tape. Isn't it just the cutest?! I had so much fun layering lots of different Cooper patterned papers as an anchoring spot for my photo.  

I then cut out these adorable paw prints using my electronic die cut machine and the new Bella Blvd Paw Prints Cut File. I used the darling Florence Alphabet Stickers to spell 'LOVE' and 'YOU' in side the paws. And how sweet is that little blue dog bone Ephemera piece?!

I can't get over how adorable all of the Ephemera pieces are. I mean just look at how cute that little dog is! I made sure he took center stage right next to my photo. 

The entire Cooper collection is just amazing and I can't decide what my favorite embellishments are. If you are a dog dad or dog mom like me, you will love Cooper as much as I do!

Dog House Mini Album | Traci

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm sure by now you've seen the amazingly cute Cooper and Chloe collections, and I can't tell you how much fun I had playing with them this week!  I designed 6x8 album kits for Artsy Albums with both lines, but I needed a smaller version to give as a gift to a friend who just got a new puppy.  

The dog house shape was easy to create with some black chipboard, and the overall album covers and pages are a bit larger than 4"x6".

The 6x6 Cooper paper pad was perfect for the smaller prints in this cute little mini.

And the Ephemera Icons have so many cute pieces!  Won't a puppy paw picture look adorable on the little round mat next to all of those cute circles?!

The colors are fun too!  Bright Bella colors with a mix of brown and a touch of black ... I love it!

My Beautiful Calico | Patricia

Hello Bella Blvd Friends!  This is Patricia to share how the May Mood Board inspired my Traveler's Notebook project today!  The first thing I noticed was the texture, then the colors, and the black and white.  The black and white inspired me to use a stencil with black ink to create a similar affect from the Mood Board.  I created this on a separate piece of cardstock to insert into my very full Traveler's Notebook.

I also worked from the inspiration of the brand new Chloe Cut Files!  I created the napping cat and the flowers from Squeeze the Day and Bella Besties pattern paper.  I clustered those together at the bottom, and layered more pattern papers under my photo to help it pop more.  I could have made this photo black and white, but I really wanted to show that my cat is a calico and the girly blankets from my daughter's bed really went well with the Bella Blvd papers.

For the top, I layered an Oh My Stars Gift Tags in black under the top of my photo and a purple one at the top of the Squeeze the Day Ephemera Words.  Then layered a Pretty Boy Cute Clips to it.  The blue from the bow and the purple help to create a triangle from the colors on both sides of my notebook.  All of this is adding to the wonderful colors found in the Mood Board.

With my right side having a lot of texture and color, I used a light pink Bella Besties polka dot paper trimmed with another Oh My Stars Gift Tags layered on top.  I picked the tag because of the black and white and the lines, drawing inspiration from the Mood Board.  I used a Squeeze the Day Ephemera Word along with the Wonky Alpha and Florence Stickers to build my title pulling colors from the right side.  I finished this with an epoxy heart and washi tape.
