Bella Besties + Chloe Week Day 4 | Nathalie DeSousa

Hi Bella Blvd Friends!

Nathalie here to share more inspiration with Bella Besties  and Chloe collections.  Let me start by saying that we are not cat lovers, however we are fond of our cat-nephew, Chico.  However, my niece loves her fur-brother/baby, and truly if there is a cat-heaven, they bond was forged there!  They are made for each other!  So, I pulled two of their pictures to create this new layout...

 

 

How cute are these pair?  Well, it was the photos that gave me the idea for the title, which is the focal point of the page.  I started using a metal die ( Altenew) to cut the word "Cattitude" from one of the 6x6 Chloe collection paper pad.

 

 

For the word, "Attitude", I decided to give it a bit more of dimension with just die cuts.  So, I used the metal dies to cut each of the letters from Bella Besties (dot/graph) in Gulf and Bubble Gum.   I glued them together with a bit of an offset so that they give the impression of a dimensional/shadowed letter.

 

 

I used the new Bella Besties ombre/hearts in Orange to cut the word, "Attitude"; then glued it to the top of previous die cuts.  Once again, they were glued together with a bit of an offset  so that the shadow/dimension shows behind the orange letters. 

 

 

I am using the B side of the Smitten paper as the background for the layout.  First, I used foam adhesive to attached "Cattitude" to the page.  The next word was glued to the background right below the previous word.  Then it came to working with the photos;  the smaller photo was framed with a piece of Chloe collection 6x6 paper pad.  The larger photo was backed with ephemera piece from the collection.

 

 

I used chipboard stickers, doohickey stickers, ephemera bits and pieces and epoxy stickers to create the clusters around the photo and title of the page.   The cat  shaped ephemera pieces are just too cute.   All that was left to do was add a few lines of journal, extra enamel shapes.  The final detail was to frame the page. This time, I used the photo corners from the Doohickey sticker page to set the corners of the page in place.

Cut Outs Week Day 5 | Sarah

Hi, beautiful Bella friends! Hope you have all been enjoying Cut Outs Week! It's Sarah on the blog today, and I am sharing a fun layout using Cuts and the beautiful Home Sweet Home collection.

I like that Cut Outs are a quick and easy alternative to fussy cutting or even to using a die cutting machine. Honestly, all you have to do is add either a sheet of cardstock or a coordinating patterned paper behind the Cut Out and viola! It's as simple as that.

I wanted to add a couple of clouds to my layout, but I was strapped on time. I didn't want to bring out my Silhouette, but I remembered that I hadn't used the clouds from the Over the Rainbow Cut Outs that I previously had used on another project.

Originally, the clouds come all attached, but I cut them apart to create a more natural, sporadic look. By adding some beautiful color from Bella Bestie papers, I was able to create this soft cloud look.

Also, because I cut apart the clouds Cut Out, I have leftover clouds that I can use on a future project. It's a win, win! Expect to make an appearance in one of my future projects; consider yourself warned, hehe. 

Can we also talk about how cute this Home Sweet Home collection really is? It's a versatile one. I used it for a dog photo, friends. Don't get me wrong, I'm obviously biased to the Cooper collection, but I just love the colors on this one. And the houseplants?! Yes, please!

Lastly, that "So Sweet" title was just perfect for this layout. Sometimes, I'm not sure what words/title to add to my layouts, so having these already made Bella acrylic words saved the day. If you haven't already seen them, make sure to take a peek at them. There are so many to choose from.

Alphabets Week Day 3 | Erica Thompson

Hey friends! Erica here with you today and I am super excited to be sharing a layout for Alphas Week! I love all the Bella Blvd alpha stickers but I always struggle with coming up with a title to use them! Pinterest is one of my favorite places to find great titles or quotes to use on my pages when I am stuck.

I wanted to create a fun layout with a big title to document our sweet Pitbull Lola. I pulled out the Chole & Cooper collection and some Aria alpha stickers. We do not have a cat but the Chloe collection has some great florals and pinks that I really want to pull in with the Cooper collection to put my layout together. Our pittie is a girl so I wanted to bring in lots of pinks and florals! 

For my title I wanted to add it to the center of a large stitched heart in the center of my layout! I used the Smitten 12x12 pattern paper from the Chloe collection as my base. I cut out a large heart with my Silhouette Cameo to use as a template to punch my holes. I used some pink embroidery floss that was a pretty close match to the Bella Blvd Punch color and stitched around the heart shape. I added my title using the Aria alphas in Punch and Ice.

I filled in the rest of the heart using the Bella Blvd Trinkets in black and some of the Cooper Matte Enamel Dots. I added two photos of our sweet Lola in the bottom right section of the heart and matted them on a pink pattern paper from the Chloe 6x6 paper pad. I used the floral die cuts from both the Cooper and Chloe collection to embellish around the layout! I also pulled out a few of the puppy die cuts from the Cooper collection to add to the layout!

To finish off my layout I added border stickers to the top and bottom of the page to help frame the layout and I love how it turned out!

Cut Outs and Cooper Week Day 1 | Sarah

Hello to all Bella friends! Oh my goodness - can you believe we are close to the last few days of February already?! Honestly, where does that time go? Anyway, it's me, Sarah, and I'm back on the blog today to share my latest project.

Today, I'm sharing a 12x12 layout focused on using the Cooper collection, accompanied with fun Cut Outs and Bella Besties. And anything that showcases dogs is always a joy for me to create! Here's what I came up with:

The title of my layout is a complete understatement. Spoiled?! I should have made my title "Overly Spoiled". Haha! Anyway, have you used the Bella Besties Puffy Aria Alphabet stickers yet? They're perfect for any title. The best part - they come in all colors that coordinate with all of the Bella Blvd collections. I love the Blueberry color for this layout.

When creating this layout, I knew that I wanted to somehow incorporate the cute Cooper Cut Outs. I added some fun Cooper patterned papers behind the bones, and I'm thrilled that it added so much color to my layout. 

And can we also talk about how cute this Bella Pop is?! I knew it was going to be perfect with that dog with a bone in its mouth.

Another great way to embellish your layout is by using your Ephemera Icons. I found a handful of the tags included in the Cooper pack and layered them above my photo. Such fun, bright tags!

And if you're wondering where that bone came from, it's also a part from the Cut Outs that I used above. I split the 3 bone Cut Out into two parts: 2 bones + 1 bone = 2 different embellishments. 

I'm a huge fan of the Doohickey Stickers in every Bella collection. They go so perfectly with all of the patterned papers, but my most favorite part about this sticker sheet are the fun little word phrases on there. The "play all day" and "you are the sweetest" really just complete this layout for me.

And yes, my journaling ain't no lie - "So very, very spoiled", hehe.

CUT FILES + BELLA BESTIES WEEK - Day 3 | Nathalie DeSousa

Hello there Bella Blvd. Friends!

Nathalie here to share a bit more inspiration for our Cut file and Bella Besties week.  This week our inspirations is hearts.  Well, hearts to me always mean love, the kind that makes your heart go soft and feel happy.  For us, that means our little one, our 10yr-old Boston Terrier baby, POOCHIE.  He is our third baby -loved and spoiled as such-.  He love us unconditionally, but the bond he shares with his 18 year old sister is beyond love.  So, I pulled one of their portraits for this layout:

 

How cute is the layout!  I started by using the Rainbow Heart Border (# 298259) to 4 hearts from each of the following Bella Besties Graph/Dot papers: Gulf, Pickle, Bell Pepper, Orange, Peep, Plum and Blueberry.  I used some 12x12 paper and  a few 6x6 papers for the hearts  as they provide interest to the background.

To make sure the hearts stand out on the page,  I used white cardstock for the background.  Using a rainbow as inspiration, I glued the outline of the hearts in rows on the  left side of the layout.  I left about a 1/4" separation between the rows.

 

To bring dimension and interest to the background, I added a bit of foam adhesive to the negative heart pieces as they were attached to the background.  I left a small offset when attaching the hearts, and follow the same color order.   

 

I used a piece of Bella Besties Ombre/Heart to back the picture, and set at the bottom row of the hearts right on the center.   I wanted to continue the rainbow effect onto my title;  for this, I sized the BESTIES cut file (#342749) to fit around the same width as the heart row, and cut it from white cardstock three times.

 

I glued the three cut outs together, so that they form a dimensional diecut, and back each of the letter spaces with the same paper used for the hearts.  Once again, I followed the color order. The title then set at the bottom of the page.  I complemented the title with an Acrylic word and added a few extra heart cut outs, ephemera and pop ups from the Cooper collection.

 

 

To finish the page, I added word sticker from the Chloe and Cooper Doohickey sheet, epoxy shapes and trinket stickers around the heart background,  making sure that it all was color blocked!  I love how this turned out.  This came together super easily once I set the rainbow hearts idea to play.   I hope this inspires you to document your memories using Bella Blvd products!

Cut Files Week Day 2 | Dorymar

Hello Bella fans, it's Dorymar today with a beautiful layout.  It's Cut File week and I selected the “Sweet on You” digital file from Bella BLVD Silhouette Store.  For this project, I combined the Bella Besties papers with Chloé Collection. Let's take a look!

As a base of my layout, I used two different Bella Besties papers, one from the Hearts and Ombré Besties and one from the Graph and Dot Besties. I reduced the Pink Graph and Dot Besties at 11.25x11.25 and adhered it on top of the Pink Hearts and Ombré paper, with my scissors I distressed the edges to create a little textured then I made some splatters with white paint.

I wanted to add a lot of color and layers to my project, for that, I used several patterns from the 6x6 paper pad from Bella besties graph and dot, and with some circle cutters, I cut several 2.5" and 2" circles. Then I selected the Smitten and Cat Crazy papers from the Chloé collection to match my Bella Besties these add much more color and layers to highlight my photo and title.

I baked my digital cut file with the Yellow Heart and Ombre Besties, I select this color because it stands out very well in the color range. To highlight it more I added the Trinkets Puffy Stickers, Die Cut, and the adorable Oscar Bella Pop from Cooper Collection.

I adore this layout so much!  It includes many things that I love, the bright tones, flowers, dogs, and my beloved daughter. I hope it inspires you to create using the versatile Bella Besties papers and the spectacular titles from the Bella Blvd Silhouette store.

Bella Besties & Chloe Week Day 6 - Lisa Fonseca

Hey friends,

today I'm back with a new layout using the Chloe collection. 

When I thought about what I would create for this layout, an idea popped into my head, where I would make cat heads and use thread all around to stitch and add little embellishments, like beads and sequins.

I thought about the best way that I could do that and I decided to cut out white cat heads, in different sizes, adhere them to patterned papers in rainbow colors, cut them out, leaving a border and then stitch on that same border, adding the embellishments.

That's exactly how I did it and I think it turned out amazing!

For the background, I put gesso all over my white cardstock and then I used acrylic inks to create this mixed media rainbow design. I just put some drops of acrylic ink on the paper, smooshed it around with a brush, spritzed some water and let it spread on the page by turning the paper up and down. I repeated that with seven colors, until the rainbow was complete. I dried it with my heating tool and then added white splatters for more detail.

With all those cute sparkly cat heads, I didn't really need a lot more. I placed them on my paper the way that I liked and chose a photo of my cat, Kätti. I matted it on white paper and adhered it next to my self-made embellishments. Then I used two tags from the die-cuts pack to place behind the photo. 

I then went through the die-cuts and chipboard stickers and grabbed all the pieces that I thought I could use. I placed them on my layout and then I also added some enamel hearts.

For my title, I used chipboard words. The "cat" one was gray. To make it stand out more, I painted it black using my black ink from Liquitex. 

Then I adhered my title above and on the photo.

I really like how it turned out, especially the beads and sequins on the cat heads. :)

Mood Board inspired with Nathalie

Hello Bella Blvd. friends!

Nathalie with you today bringing you a new layout that is all inspired on this month's colorful mood board.  I love working with mood boards as they provide an infinite number of possibilities.   This month's board is filled with some of my favorite things: black and white, a rainbow and Fall.   Here is this month's mood board:

All the color, texture and pumpkins are some of the things that caught my eye. So, I used all this images as inspiration for my page:

I love all the color with a hint of black and white in this page :) .   I just love how the moodboard fit the pictures of our baby's costume for Halloween 2019.  

 

One of the things that caught my eye are all the pumpkin shapes in the moodboard, especially the ones in the top left corner of the moodboard. In addition three of the squares also feature party decorations and feel which made me think of rosettes ( just like a party wall background). 

 

I pulled papers from different collections to create rosettes so that they matched the colors in the board.  I cut strips of paper at 0.5", 0.75",and 1" wide and crimpled them to create the rosettes.  I used my hot glue gun to keep them in place.

I chose the Spooky and Sweet patterned papers for the background of the page, as it had the polka dot look that is in the mood board.  Once all the rosettes were set in place, I used cardstock stickers and enamel dots to cover the center of the rosettes.

 

I trimmed the left side of the background by about a 3/4 of an inch and backed the space with another paper from the Sweet and Spooky collection.   I added a few papers and embellishments from the same collection behind the picture.  Then clustered Ciao Chips at the bottom of the pictures to create the title of my page.

Fun with the Aria Alphabet - Tegan Skwiat

Good day everyone, Tegan here! I am so excited to share today's layout using the awesome brand new Aria Puffy Alphabet Stickers! I love that they come in ALL of the yummy Bella Blvd colors, so matching them to your Bella projects will be a breeze. Since I wanted to document a recent picture of my fur baby, I  used the adorable Cooper collection on this layout.  I also added in some bits from the Chloe collection and the pink background paper is from the Wish Big Girl line. I love that all of the Bella collections mix and match so easily!

I started by cutting out a large circle from the pink Wish Big Girl Party Animal patterned paper and then backed it with the Cooper Paws Patterned Paper. I then used the Aria Alphabet Stickers to add dog-themed words around the cut out circle. Here I used the Aria Alphas in Punch! 

Here I added little paw print strips of the Paw Prints Washi Tape around the page. They are pretty 'pawsome' don't you think?! I then embellished my photo with Ephemera die cut pieces.

Here I used the McIntosh and Black Aria Alphabet Stickers. I used the red corrugated cardboard Heart Hugs stickers to separate the words.  

I used the paw part from the Cooper Faithful Friend Cut-Outs to create the main design down the right side of the page. I backed it with patterned papers from the Chloe and Cooper collections. I love that I was able to use so many colors of Aria Alphabet Stickers on this layout. The only problem is that I can't decide which color is my favorite! Can you?!

ARIA ALPHA Inspiration with Nathalie

Hello Bella Blvd friends!

Nathalie here to share a bit of inspiration using the new and super beautiful Aria Alpha puffy stickers.  These alphas come in a rainbow of colors/ Bella Blvd palette, and are the perfect size to embellish your layouts.   Today, i am pairing these alphas with the fun Cooper collection in this colorful page...

 

As you can see my baby boy has a love for our bed! I set a few of the pictures in a film strip and decided to surround them by the story of the day.   

I drew two circles on a piece of heavy cardstock, and added a bit of mixed media to the background.  I chose a color that will bring some of the morning colors and make the pictures stand out. Once the background dried, i used the drawn lines to handstitch the circles on the page.

I used papers from the Cooper, Chloe and Bella Besties to back the pictures.  I created a small cluster of embellishments at the top left corner of the pictures, and then set in place on top of the watercolor background.

I used the stitched circles as a guide for my title work.  Here i used a few of the new Aria Alphas in different colors.  I added a few embellishments from the Cooper and Chloe collection to help me complete the circle.

To finish the page, i added a large of cluster of embellishments at the bottom of the page. I tried to follow the curvature of the title, but instead ended with a large horizontal line of embellishments.  

All that was left were a few lines of journal and matte enamel dots around the page.  I love how this turned out.  The new alpha stickers are just so perfect to create all sorts of titles and embellishments, be sure to check them out!
