Our Love Song Monochromatic Scrapbook Layout | Inessa Persekian

Hey friends, welcome back to the blog! Today, I’m sharing a fun 12x12 layout using the Our Love Song collection. This collection is packed with iconic images and bold colors that totally give off an '80s vibe—so fun to play with!

For this assignment, our goal was to draw inspiration from a previous project on the blog. I chose this card design, created by the talented Annette. What caught my eye was the repeating pattern, the blue tones, and the layered details.

I put my own twist on it by swapping out the circles for hearts and mixing in shades of blue, black, white, and a pop of pink. I kept the offset, repeating pattern to give it that playful, dynamic feel.

Here’s how I created the layout:

• I started with the B-side of the Daily Details paper as my base and layered a 9-inch piece of white textured cardstock in the center. I added hand stitching using DMC thread (#3811) for extra texture along the borders.
• About ¾ of an inch from the top, I added a row of distressed, layered hearts. You can cut these with an electronic cutting machine or use nested heart metal dies. The larger hearts are about 2.5" x 2.5", with the smaller ones roughly ¼ inch smaller. I popped up the top hearts with foam adhesive for dimension.
  • Papers used for the hearts: XOXO, Our Mix, and Totally Rad—cut in both heart sizes for variety.
• I layered a 3x4 photo with a polka dot frame from the Our Love Song Ephemera Icons, backed with the Soundtrack paper.
• I added a mix of ephemera, puffy stickers, and word stickers from the Doohickey sheet. The title is done with Luna Alphabet Puffy Stickers in Black and Gulf.

Love You Scrapbook Layout| Our Love Song | Brianna Estrella

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'm so excited to share a new layout with y'all today using the Our Love Song collection. I LOVE this collection so much. The icons are adorable and the color palette is so fun. This week the Creative Team is using projects from the blog as inspiration. It was so hard to choose one since there are so many great projects over there. I did end up selecting this amazing page from Kirei:

Here's my layout:

 

To start, I cut 1x10 strips of the following papers: I Love You, Crazy For You, Skip A Beat and Volume Up. I distressed the edges and then set them aside. For my base, I took a piece of textured white cardstock and trimmed it down to an 11x11 and then adhered it to the B side of the Borders 12x12 paper. I love the pop of black and white on my background. Next, I arranged and adhered all of my strips down to that base.

I then popped up my photos on foam tape and arranged them in the center of my page. I also embellished at the top right corner of the photos using some Puffy Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Ephemera Icons.

I wanted to embellish tone on tone like Kirei did in her layout so I pulled a lot of the florals from the Ephemera Icons pack and adhered them down to the coordinating paper strips. I also pulled in one of the adorable cassette tapes from the Playlist Bella Pop sticker. It's so cute!

For my title, I used a mix of two different phrases from the Ciao Chip Chipboard stickers and arranged it at the bottom right of my photo group.

 

Lastly, I added more Puffy and Epoxy Stickers using the tone on tone method. I tucked them between all of the florals and around my title. I love how it turned out!

Our Love Song l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! I'm using the fun Our Love Song collection for my latest layout and picked out a photo of me and my husband from our trip to Australia late last year. It had actually been six years since Lee had made it back, even though I had been over to see my parents twice in that time. So it was so nice to get to go back together again finally! 

I picked out the pretty rainbow striped Love Notes paper and cut apart all the stripes and decided to use them all except the yellow stripe as they weren't all going to fit onto the white cardstock. I cut them into different lengths then distressed the edges before sticking them down from the top edge of the background. Then I cut some smaller strips and added them to the bottom edge. 

My photo is mounted using the black side of the Our Mix patterned paper, with the edges distressed of course! Then I stuck that down using foam pads on the top edge and keeping it flat on the bottom edge. I tucked in a couple of tags from the Ephemera Words behind the photo, looping some black embroidery thread through the holes. 

Then it was time to add some embellishments... my favourite part! I pulled out all the florals from the Ephemera Words that matched the colours of my stripes then played around with placement before sticking them down... only adding glue to the centre so that I can curve the petals up for added dimension. I also added a couple of chipboard flowers from the Ciao Chip Stickers.

Then I added some hearts and circle stickers from the Puffy Stickers and Epoxy Stickers. I also picked out some of the word and heart stickers from the Doohickey Stickers raising up the words with foam pads. 

For my title I'm using the Luna Puffy Alphabet Stickers in Black and I also used some of the small hearts to add pops of black to my floral embellishment clusters. Then I added my journaling below the title.  

To finish off I added some cross-stitches in black to each of the coloured strips and added splatters of white paint to the embellishment clusters.

Our Love Song Collection | Valentines/Love Themed Handmade Cards

 

Happy February Bella friends... Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing more Valentines/Love themed cards. It is that time of year where we send a little extra love to our special loved ones. The Our Love Song collection is full of LOVE and colorful designs that are for sure to bring a smile. 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut an A2 panel on the Our Love Song Love Notes paper and adhere it to the base of the card using liquid glue.

 

Cut an A2 panel of the Borders backer paper, line it up from the top right corner to the lower left corner and adhere it down with liquid glue. Trim off the excess. 

 

 

Pick out this fun HELLO LOVE sentiment from the Ephemera Words and add some foam tape to the back and adhere it to the center of the card. 

 

Pick out this cute heart ballon from the Ephemera Icons and adhere it to the card using liquid glue. Tuck it a little behind the sentiment. 

 

Add one of the Love You More puffy stickers to the balloon. This gives it a little dimension. 

 

 

Don't you love how simple this card was to create? The paper and cute ephemera do all the hard work. 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut an A2 panel of the XOXO paper and adhere it to the card base using liquid glue.

 

 

Pick out these fun Ephemera Words.

 

Cut 3 strips of the Soundtrack backer paper measuring 1 1/4 x 3 1/4, 1 1/4 x 3 1/2 and 1 1/4 x 4. The first one is for the LOVE, the second one is for the XOXO and the third for the 4EVER. Adhere the Ephemera Words to the strips using foam tape. 

 

Add more foam tape to the back of the strips and add them to the card all at an angle. Whatever looks good to you, just go for it. 

 

Finishing with the smaller ephemera words sentiment which I doubled up on the foam tape on the back and added it to the lower part of the XOXO sentiment. 

 

 

Two very simple cards,  don't you just love all these fun colors? The Our Love Song collection is full of amazing color and patterns that are happy and fun to create with.

Our Love Song & Letter Scrambles I Heather Cerulo

Hello there! Heather here today, sharing a layout using "Our Love Song" and a few colors of the Letter Scramble alpha stickers!

 

To begin, I used a basic heart shape in the Cricut software to cut 3 heart shapes from patterned paper. Then, I cut pieces of them to layer on one of the hearts, inspired by a patterned paper in this collection!  I added some zig zag and basic straight machine stitching to add texture.

 

 

Next, I created 3 floral clusters around the heart, in a visual triangle. I accented these clusters with epoxy stickers from the collection.

 

 

For my title, I pulled out the letter scramble alphas in cotton candy, Punch and Ice, colors that matched this collection perfectly! I added some machine stitching over these letters for even more texture.

 

 

At the end, I added some pink splatters with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide.  The perfect finishing touch!

 

The top cluster was perfect for a subtitle layered among the floral cluster.
