Monochromatic Teal 12x12 Page with Erika

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a recent scrapbook page I made, featuring my kids playing at the park with our neighbor kids. The challenge was to create a monochromatic page using my favorite color, teal. 

Teal is such a versatile and calming color, perfect for capturing playful moments. I chose different textured teal papers and added some blue-toned paper accents from the Let's Scrapbook collection by Bella Blvd to add variety. 

I wanted to make the page fun and dynamic, so I included branding strips for the middle and used a cut file that says "captured" as a focal point. Adding 3x4 cards with the words "fun" and "friends" brought the theme to life. When I saw the "&" chipboard piece, I knew it would perfectly complete my title.

For the design, I love symmetry, so I arranged my photos and journaling elements in a balanced way. Customizing a journaling card by replacing "scrap" with "play" added a personal touch that tied everything together.

This challenge was so much fun, and I loved working with my favorite color in a new way. I hope this project inspires you to try something monochromatic in your own scrapbooking. Customize Cut Outs to Create A Monochromatic Layout / Let's Scrapbook / Suzanna Lee

This week the Bella Blvd design team is focusing on creating monochromatic projects focusing on their favorite color and keeping the emphasis on the Let's Scrapbook collection and combining some Bella Besties. I created a graduation layout and customized the Congratulations Cut Out and used all the teal I could round up. Teal is one of my daughters' high school colors and it was only fitting that that be the monochrome of a graduation layout.

Let's Scrapbook is a collection that is all about color, all the colors. The patterned papers are either tone on tone color or the gamut of the rainbow. I used the obvious teal B side and combined it with the Gulf Bella Besties from the two 6x6 Paper Pads to fill the openings of the Cut Outs. Each Cut Outs comes with directions and a template. As per the template, I put the template letter on top of the patterned paper I wanted and loosely cut out the letter.
Next I used liquid adhesive with a fine tip applicator on the backside of the Cut Outs and then adhered the letter that I just cut out. With the letter that are duplicate, I saved myself time by cutting both as the same time. TIPS: Be sure to use details scissors for clean cuts, move the paper as you close your scissors and temporary adhesive helps from sliding as you're cutting.

As I used the white Cut Outs on a white background, I needed black for some contrast to all the white. A few of the ephemera pieces from the Let's Scrapbook collection along with Gulf Besties Collection Puffy Stickers were the perfect compliments for sprinkles of visual interest through out the layout.

Letter stickers from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey sticker sheet mixed well with Gulf Letter Scramble stickers to indicate the high school my daughter graduated from and her class. Again, I kept the color palette monochrome with the black for accent. I had a random scallop border left over from a previous layout that I up along the top in order to fill the space.

White space is something that I strive to include with my creations, it produces a visually appealing design and gives the viewer some calm, a space to breathe in all the elements. This is quite a busy layout, but there is white space, lots of little bits of white space. The spaces between the letters. I have intentionally left many of them without ephemera in order to provide bits and pieces of calm among the chaos of letters.

Let's Scrapbook: Monochromatic Color Cards...

 

Welcome Bella friends.. Annette Allen here with you today and we are going Monochromatic with cards. This was so fun to create these two cards using the new Let's Scrapbook collection, mixed with a few other Bella goodies.. So let's get started.

 

 

YELLOW... what a happy color, Right? It is one of my most favorite colors and I think I got plenty of yellow on this card. 

 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut 4 1/2 inch strips of the Let's Scrapbook Tools Of The Trade backer.

 

Cut 8 1/2 inch strips of the Bella Besties Graph & Dot Bell Pepper paper. We are going to use the front and back of this paper. 

 

Using liquid glue we are going to create a basket weave on our card base. Start with the top first and adhere ONLY ON THE TOP of the paper to the card base. Fill the top but leave room in between each design. Now let's adhere starting on the left side only on the top part of the paper. Let the dry take hold before started to create your basket weave design. Rotate the designs until your card base is full and trim off access. 

 

Die cut or use a cut file to cut an open face scalloped circle on the Let's Scrapbook Tools Of The Trade backer paper. Add some foam tape to the back of the scalloped circle and adhere to your card. 

 

 

Finishing up with the sentiment created using the Let's Scrapbook Ciao Chip and the Bella Besties Letter Scramble Bell Pepper which I added to the center of the circle. 

 

 

Next up, we have gone teal...

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Die cut or use a cut file to cut 14 1 1/4 inch circles and 10 1inch circles on the Bella Blvd Let's Scrapbook Cut It Up backer paper and Bella Besties Graph & Dot Gulf paper (we will use front and back. 

 

On the 1 inch circles score the center of the circle and fold. 

 

On 10 of the 1 1/4 circles (mix it up) adhere the 1 inch circles to the larger circle, but only put glue on the center of the fold so you can flare it up for a little dimension. 

 

Adhere the circles to your card mixing up the designs. You will notice that the circles falling off the card do not have the smaller circle on them. Trim off access. 

 

 

Pick out the CRAFTY sentiment from the Let's Scrapbook Ephemera Words, add some foam tape to the back and adhere to the center of the card. 

 

Let's also add the sentiment FUN from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey.

 

Finishing up with that sweet little teal heart from the Let's Scrapbook Epoxy Capture Color.

Happy Scrappy Weekend | Let's Scrapbook Collection | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and this week, the CT is sharing layouts that feature selfie photos using the Let's Scrapbook collection.  We are also focusing on the Ciao Chip Chipboard stickers!  I chose a photo that I had taken of myself with Paige Evans and Jamie Pate at the She Loves Color event in 2022.  Here's my page: 

I wanted a fun but simple mixed media background, so I took a few Shimmerz Paints sprays and sprayed a piece of textured white cardstock from my stash. I chose colors that matched the collection and spritzed them around the page.  I then took the I Love Scrapbooking 12x12 patterned paper and tore two pieces from it. I then adhered each piece to the top and bottom of my layout. 

I then matted my photo using the B side of the Color Lover patterned paper.  I also created an embellishment cluster to the bottom left corner of my photo using a few Ciao Chip Chipboard stickers as well as some Ephemera Icons.  That travel craft bag? So CUTE and it's perfect for this photo since I had to travel to this event!

Since we are focusing on the Ciao Chips, I used quite a few phrases from the sheet for my title. I wanted each letter to stand out a bit more, so I outlined one word and then added highlights using a white gel pen to the others.  

I then embellished the rest of the page using more Ephemera Icons, Ciao Chips and a few Doohickey Cardstock Stickers.

For some finishing touches, I sprinkled in a few Epoxy and Puffy stickers.  I love how bright and happy this page came out!

Use the Let's Scrapbook collection and a selfie photo l Kirei Baldwin

Hi Everyone! It's Kirei here with a layout featuring the Let's Scrapbook collection with a particular focus on the Ciao-Chip Chipboard Stickers! I'm using a selfie photo taken during a fun weekend in Luxembourg for Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane's crafty workshop... I went over with two of my scrapping besties and we had the best time! This really is the perfect collection to scrap those fun memories! 

I stuck an 11" square of white card to the stripey Scrappy Talk patterned paper (gutted the centre first!) to create a frame for my layout and then I added some machine stitching around the border. 

I'm loving the Kaleidoscope patterned paper and decided to make a central circular feature using the triangles. So I cut out two of each in all eight colours, then distressed the edges. I placed them down in rainbow order to create a circle, slightly overlapping each one. Once I was happy with the placement I stuck them down.

Then I took my photo and used a die to cut it into a circle, and then mounted it onto a slightly larger circle cut from the Scrappy Talk paper (text side). This was stuck to the centre of the triangles using foam pads to add dimension. 

I decided to add my title next as I wanted to use the Ciao-Chip Chipboard Stickers and as they are quite large I thought it would be easier to add my embellishments once the title was stuck down! I went with 'Scrappy Friends' and as they are quite colourful I mounted them on the grid side of the Kaleidoscope paper and fussy cut around the two words. This allowed them to stand out more against the coloured triangles when they were stuck down. 

Now onto the embellishment clusters... I pulled out a selection of fun, crafty elements from the Ciao-Chip Stickers, Ephemera Icons and Epoxy Stickers. I didn't use too many as I wanted the rainbow circle of triangles to still be seen! 

I finished off by adding some hand-stitching to each of the triangles, rather than leaving them plain. I think it was just what they needed!

Enjoy the Now-Father's Day Layout | Let's Scrapbook Collection | Yvette Weber

 

Hello, everyone. It's Yvette here today to share another layout using the "Let's Scrapbook" collection! I am documenting pictures of my guys and their computer projects for today's layout.

 

I selected the "Photo Taker" paper and cut out the center to use as my background. Then, I trimmed a 1-inch edge off two sides of white cardstock and adhered it to the top, creating a colorful border.

 

 

I found the vibrant colors of the "Kaleidoscope" paper very inspiring, so I incorporated it into the design of this lovely layout, capturing a special moment between my husband and my son! I cut the Kaleidoscope paper into 3x3 squares, folded and stapled them, then arranged them around the page to create a mesmerizing visual effect.

 

 

This week's assignment was a blast! It was all about the camera embellishments from the Let's Scrapbook collection. I had a great time using the beautiful and colorful cameras from the puffy sticker set 'Handmade.' They added a playful touch to my layout. I also incorporated some cute, small, colorful circles from the 'Capture Color' Epoxy. They were like little bursts of joy, tying everything together.

 

 

I placed my photos in the bottom right corner and then added my journaling to tell the story. To add a bit of fun movement, I included some Ephemera Words arrows around the page, creating visual elements.

 

For my page title, I used my Silhouette to cut out the words "Enjoy the Now" from the black gingham & stripes Bella Besties paper and placed it at the bottom of my layout. It added the perfect touch to my page!

Let's Scrapbook: Father Day Fun

 

Happy hello Bella friends... Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing a little Father's Day inspiration using the new Let's Scrapbook collection. Father's day is this Sunday, so you still have a couple of days to get out our crafty supplies and create something special. 

 

 

Create a card on white cardstock A2 size. 

 

Cut a piece of the Let's Scrapbook Photo Taker A2 size and adhere to your card panel using liquid glue.

 

Die cut a decorative frame on the Let's Scrapbook Paper Party backer and set aside. 

 

Cut a panel on white cardstock measuring 4 x 5 1/4 and die cut or machine cut Love You Dad in the center, but make sure your frame will fit around the sentiment without hiding it. 

 

 

Adhere your frame around the sentiment. 

 

Flip over your panel and add foam tape to the back and adhere to your card. 

 

 

Add one of those awesome Let's Scrapbook Puffy Stickers camera to the center of the O on the You. 

 

I also added a couple of the Trinkets Puffy Stickers (Blueberry) hearts to the sentiment to finish. 

 

 

Don't you just love how the designer paper shows through the sentiment? 

 

 

The theme today is Father's day but we are also enjoying all those cool cameras from the Let's Scrapbook collection. Father's day is a camera kind of day. Memories are always good. 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut 4 strips measuring 3/4 inch of of the Let's Scrapbook Paper Party backer and Photo Taker backer (2 of each). Adhere these strips to the card base using liquid glue.  

 

Cut 3 strips measuring 1 inch of the Photo Taker paper. Make sure you get a full line of the camera when cutting. Add some foam tape to the back of the strips and adhere them to your card. As you can see I have lined them up between each of the seams. 

 

 

Machine or die cut a 3 inch circle on the Let's Scrapbook Clear Cuts Be Happy. 

 

Peel and stick the DAD Pennants (Family 2) frag to the acetate on the left side of the circle at an angle. 

 

Pick out the Heart from the Let's Scrapbook Ephemera Words and add some foam tape to the back and adhere to the circle on the upper right hand side of the circle. 

 

Finishing with one of those fun cameras from the Let's Scrapbook Puffy Stickers. 

 

Flip over your circle and add foam tape to the back, but only on the parts that it will not be seen on the front and adhere to the card.

Celebrating Fathers with Let's Scrapbook Cameras!

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio! Father's Day will soon be here and what better way to celebrate the loved and special men in your life than with a beautiful layout! I have lots of great guys in my life but this layout is all about my hubby, aka Grandpa to three sweet grands!

My husband is a great grandpa and looooves his grandkids! He is always doing fun things with just them and, big plus for me, he loves to snap selfies while they are having great times! Bella Blvd challenged us to create a project with the Let's Scrapbook collection with a focus on the camera embellishments so this was a perfect combo! I started by splattering on some paint in colors that matched with the camera embellishments of the collection onto white cardstock. Then I cut camera strips from the 12x12 Photo Taker paper and placed them at different angles on my base.  

Each photo of my grandchildren is mounted on a different color of the Bella Besties Stripes 6x6 paper, and layered with a coordinating border sticker along with a strip of paper cut from the 12x12 Button Burst paper. I chose two camera embellishments for each section in complementing colors along with various other matching ephemera, enamel dots and puffy and epoxy stickers! Too cute!

I also added a sentiment for each child that color coordinates as well and used the smallest letters from the Bella Besties Letter Scramble for my title! The finishing touch are three small color coordinating tabs that I die cut and tucked in under the photos!

Use the Bella Blvd Cut-Outs for a large title l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! I am loving the fabulous Cut-Outs that coordinate with the Let's Scrapbook collection! I chose the 'Creative Friends' title to feature on my layout as it was perfect with my photo from a recent trip over to Luxembourg with some of my scrappy friends to take part in a weekend workshop with the lovely Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane. I love that scrapbooking has introduced me to so many wonderful people, and made some lifelong friends! 

I wanted to create a large feature so pulled out the coordinating Cut-Outs to use as a title, picking 'Creative Friends'. I decided to back the 'Creative' in rainbow colours, so I used a mix of papers from the Let's Scrapbook collection and some from the Bella Besties papers so that I covered all the colours! Then I backed 'Friends' in black as I liked how that popped from the layout and also emphasised the word. I raised them both using foam pads as I like the dimension you get. 

Then I added vertical stripes in the same rainbow colours to the top half of the layout, and then continued them on the bottom edge. This also allowed me to ground my bottom embellishment cluster rather than just have it 'floating'! 

To add a little more texture to a layout I often add some hand-stitching so decided to do that here and added cross-stitches to the top and bottom stripes. I also stitched through the centre of some buttons from the Ephemera Icons, and some flower buttons that I fussy cut from one of the patterned papers. 

I decided to change my photo to black and white as that just worked better with the all the rainbow colours I was using and would have just felt a little busy otherwise. I also mounted it using the same black paper as I had for 'Friends'. I then stuck down the 'Creative Friends' title and tucked in my photo just under the top edge. 

Next was adding the embellishments, so I pulled out lots of the fun Ephemera Icons pieces, along with the Puffy Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Doohickey Stickers and created clusters to the bottom of the layout and around the photo. I added the stitched buttons to the 'Friends' keeping them in rainbow order to echo the coloured stripes.

 

Then I added a few of the phrases from the Ephemera Words and Doohickey Stickers below the title, along with my journaling and I was done! Love how it turned out, makes me happy!

Double page layout using Let's Scrapbook! collection l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! Who likes to scrap double page layouts? It's not actually something I do that often but when I do I love the end result! It also means I can get more photos on a layout rather than just a few! I'm using the fab new Let's Scrapbook! collection though I took a slightly different spin and went for photos that are not that obviously scrapbook related..... I was away in Luxembourg with friends for a scrapbook workshop by the lovely Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane and we had a free day so went exploring around the city, and of course we took loads of photos because that's what scrapbookers do!

Firstly I taped two pieces of white cardstock together on the back as I find this easiest when working on a double page layout. Just keeps it all together and when working on elements that run across both pages it means you can make sure they match up.

I cut a piece of the Button Burst patterned paper in half (with the stripes running vertically). Using a craft knife I cut a number of short openings in between some of the stripes on both pieces, making sure I knew where my photos were going first so that I didn't cover the openings up later! I curled back the sides of each opening and backed them with pieces of the Paper Party patterned paper (small flower side). Next I stuck the two pieces down onto the white cardstock (keeping the pink stripe to the centre of both sides). I then added a cross-stitch to each small opening in the corresponding colour to the stripe. Then I added the striped scalloped border sticker (cut into two pieces) from the coordinating Doohickey Stickers along the top edge of the striped paper on both sides. 

My six 5" x 3½" photos are mounted on two pieces of the Junk It Up patterned paper (green side). Keep a narrow border around all sides except the side that sits on the inner edge of the white cardstock. Stick these down using foam pads. 

Now some fussy cutting which I love! Using the Button Burst patterned paper I fussy cut out fifteen of the button flowers (two are partial flowers cut from the edge of the paper). Yes, I did cut in between each of the 'petals'! There are another three button flowers from the Ephemera Words that I used as well. Then I tied coordinating embroidery thread through the centre of each one. I added these to my layout in three clusters around the photos and in the top right of the right page, this gives me balance by using the 'rule of three' and draws the eye into the layout. 

Next I added embellishments to each of the clusters using the Doohickey Stickers, Bella-Pops, Ciao-Chip Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Puffy Stickers focusing on the cameras, circles, hearts, buttons (I added thread through these as well) and appropriate words. Some of the elements are raised on foam pads to add dimension.

 

 

 

To finish off I added a title using the black alpha from the Doohickey Stickers and the Letter Scramble Alphas in Punch and Guacamole, and of course added some journaling.

Love To Scrap! Featuring the Let's Scrapbook collection!

Hi everyone! Tara here with Secretbees Studio and I have a fun and colorful layout to share today featuring the fabulous Let's Scrapbook collection and the super cute Bella Pops! We all love scrapbooking and what makes it even better is when you can enjoy it with your scrappy friends!   

I started with the 'Scrappy Talk' 12 x 12 paper, which is full of sweet and comical phrases, and then layered in color with strips of the coordinating patterned papers. A little bit of texture was added with some simple stitches and the crowning touch are those fabulous sentiment strips that sum up all of the awesomeness of a crafty retreat! Popped up buttons from the ephemera packs add even more depth!

I took two of my favorite photos from a retreat weekend and used those as the highlight of this charming banner. I added in a few scrappy tools along with three amazing Bella Pops that add so much dimension, color and shine! There are lots of different layers to the banner so I was able to tuck in more buttons along with tiny puffy flower stickers!

To finish off this wonderful layout, I stacked on a few ephemera hearts and topped those off with tiny heart stickers and added in some black dimensional dots around the page. Creating this page brought back so many great memories and it makes me happy to document them with such an amazing collection!
