Cut Outs Week Day 1 | Erica Thompson

This week I am kicking off a week full of Bella Blvd Cut Outs inspiration! I love this new product from Bella Blvd and if you love the look of cut files on a project then you are going to love all the inspiration we have to share this week!

Cut Outs are cut from thick smooth white cardstock and the newest release also come with a cutting template. If you do not have an electronic cutting machine but love the look of cut files then this is the product for you! They are also great to pack up to take to a crop! Today I am using the 100% Awesome set that comes with two cut outs. A large beautiful title piece and a row of super cute stars both ready to back with pretty pattern papers! 

I used the Bella Blvd Let's Go On An Adventure collection. I really love the Fairy Garden paper in this collection and the beautiful florals in the ephemera pack. I knew right away I wanted the Fairy Garden paper to really stand out so I matted a piece of smooth white 11.50x11.50 cardstock to it. I just love the black paper with all the pretty colorful flowers. I also used this pattern paper to back some of the letters of the title cut file. 

I picked a couple more papers from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection to back the rest of the letters and then cut my photo out using a circle die from Pinkfresh Studio. This die has some diagonal stitching marks that help add a little interest to the photo. 

I created a few embellishment clusters around the cut out and used the super cute fox from the ephemera pack. I also fussy cut a couple of the cute foxes from the Shy Foxes pattern paper in the collection. I love how clean and simple this layout looks but also love the pop of black. This is definitely one that I will hang up in my office. To finish off the page I add a few matte enamel dots from the Bella Blvd Cooper collection.

Fall & Winter Themed Week Day 6 | Nathalie

Hi there Bella Blvd Friends!

Nathalie with you today with one last bit of Fall inspiration before we head into the jolliest season of the year.  I keep a very visual journal of our days; so, today i want to share with you two of the newest entries created with the new Bella Besties Ombre/Heart collection.

 

I started my projects by cutting the leaves from the Bell Pepper, McKintosh, Orange, Punch and Pony Bella Besties Ombre/Heart Papers using the Fall Leaves cut file (#332735 Silhouette Store).  

For my first entry, I chose to create a pocket page.   I cut the Guacamole Ombre/Heart paper for the base of the picture. Once, I set it in place, I added a few of the leaves as if flying/falling at the bottom of the page.   I used some of the negative of the picture to add my title using the Florence Alphabet in black.  A few of the matte enamel dots complete the page.

 To create the pocket cards, I first trimmed one of the 4x6 cut apart cards from the Spooky and Sweet collection, then added a piece of the Guacamole Ombre/heart paper to cover the writing, and then just added a few more leaves.    For my filler card, I used the lighter side of the Guacamole Ombre paper -cut  to size-  them added a tag from the Legacy collection and top it of with one of the leaves. I carried over the phrase stickers and enamel dots to create a well balanced spread.

For my next spread, I wanted to use all the leaves and color to bring Fall Splendor to my pages.   So, I started with a bit of ink blending to the white cardstock background.

I used a gel pen to draw the small vein line on the leaves, then used a bit of foam adhesive to attach them to the background.  I used a combination of the Wonky puffy alpha and Florence Sticker alpha to complete my title.

For the other side of the page, I cut a piece of the Guacamole Ombre/Hearts paper to size.  I backed the picture with a piece of Bell Pepper Ombre Heart paper then just added it to the page.  Just a few embellishments ( Let's Go on Adventure, Freshly Squeezed and Chloe collections) bring the focus to the picture.

Cut File Week Day 6: Fall is for Football Games | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here and I am wrapping up cut file week over here at Bella Blvd!  My youngest son, Elijah just started football and he is loving it!  I had taken a photo of him after his first game and I couldn't wait to document it.  I went to the Silhouette Design Store and browsed through the Bella Blvd cut files and chose the Football Games one since it was perfect for my photo!  Here's what I came up with and I hope that you like it!

 

 

First, I cut the cut file out on a piece of white textured cardstock from my stash.  Then, in my Silhouette Software I duplicated the cut file and released the compound path so that I could have the solid piece of the cut file and cut it using the Hearts and Ombre paper in Black.  To create the backing pieces of the cut file, I offset each one and arranged them on my cutting mat so that I could have each letter cut using different colors of the new Hearts and Ombre papers.  I chose the colors in McIntosh, Blueberry, Bell Pepper, Ice and Guacamole.  Once everything was finished cutting, I glued everything together and moved onto the next step.  

 

 

Here's another shot of the backed cut file.  Before I adhered the cut file to another piece of plain white cardstock, I added a few Shimmerz Paints paint splatters around the whole page to give my background a bit more interest.

 

 

I decided to use the Let's Go On An Adventure collection for this layout.  I thought it had a lot of elements that would work on this football layout since they're both outdoor related.  My sons schools colors are red, white and gray and I thought the color scheme of the collection worked perfectly for it.  I backed my photo using some patterned papers from the collection and embellished using some of the Ciao Chip chipboard stickers around the photo.  I thought the fox from the ephemera icons was super cute, especially since it was wearing a red scarf!

 

 

I added a floral ephemera piece on the other side of the photo and decided to create another embellishment cluster on that side.  I grabbed a red and white pennant and adhered that down since it matched his uniform.  I added the word 'cheer' right on top using the Florence Alphas in McIntosh to create a little subtitle of 'cheer crew'.  To add even more pops of color, I sprinkled the new Trinkets Puffy heart stickers in Bell Pepper around my page.  

 

 

For my title, I added some of the new Aria Puffy Alphas in McIntosh, Ice and Guacamole. I finished this page off by adding in some tangled thread.  I love how this layout turned out!  It's so colorful and fun!

Family Picture | Patricia

Hello Bella Blvd Friends!  Today I'm sharing a project in the Heidi Swapp Storyline Scrapbook Insert using the Family Picture and Fall Leaves Cut Files in the Silhouette Design Store.

For the Family Picture cut file, I did an offset so that I could cut a darker pattern paper background to contrast and make my main title cut from lighter pattern paper stand out. 

I then cut several leaves from the Let's Go On An Adventure and the Bella Besties pattern papers for my leaves to scatter around my title on the left.

I brought in more of the darker blue pattern paper by choosing another blue pattern paper, but one that I couldn't resist using from the Let's Go On An Adventure.  Then I layered that with the same pattern paper I used for my title to create a stitched border before adhering onto the right side to go with my photo and title.  

I added a die cut, more of the cut leaves, and the acrylic with the Florence Alphabet stickers to finish.

I did resize the leaves to be a little smaller, but at any size they would look amazing on your next project, and don't forget to add the Family Picture cut file and try the offset and mix our pattern papers.  Happy Creating!

Mood Board inspired with Nathalie

Hello Bella Blvd. friends!

Nathalie with you today bringing you a new layout that is all inspired on this month's colorful mood board.  I love working with mood boards as they provide an infinite number of possibilities.   This month's board is filled with some of my favorite things: black and white, a rainbow and Fall.   Here is this month's mood board:

All the color, texture and pumpkins are some of the things that caught my eye. So, I used all this images as inspiration for my page:

I love all the color with a hint of black and white in this page :) .   I just love how the moodboard fit the pictures of our baby's costume for Halloween 2019.  

 

One of the things that caught my eye are all the pumpkin shapes in the moodboard, especially the ones in the top left corner of the moodboard. In addition three of the squares also feature party decorations and feel which made me think of rosettes ( just like a party wall background). 

 

I pulled papers from different collections to create rosettes so that they matched the colors in the board.  I cut strips of paper at 0.5", 0.75",and 1" wide and crimpled them to create the rosettes.  I used my hot glue gun to keep them in place.

I chose the Spooky and Sweet patterned papers for the background of the page, as it had the polka dot look that is in the mood board.  Once all the rosettes were set in place, I used cardstock stickers and enamel dots to cover the center of the rosettes.

 

I trimmed the left side of the background by about a 3/4 of an inch and backed the space with another paper from the Sweet and Spooky collection.   I added a few papers and embellishments from the same collection behind the picture.  Then clustered Ciao Chips at the bottom of the pictures to create the title of my page.

Hey there Bella Blvd. friends!

Nathalie with you today with a new project all about the most beautiful season, Fall.    I keep very detailed daily family albums ( TN sized), and during this time of the year, I tend to take lots of pictures of our outdoor walks.  I decided to create a new insert for my album (hoping to fill it with more memories as the season goes on).

 

I started this section with a few pictures of my daughter on one of our recent walks.  I blew up the image of my daughter walking along the river path, and added a few embellishments from the Let's Go on an Adventure collection.

Since my idea is adding more images of our walks, I created a pocket insert from the Clear Cuts Chevron in black to create the pocket for my album. All I needed was a scoring board to go ahead and construct the pocket to fit in the album.

 

 

For the front of the pocket, I used the Autumn cut file ( design # 332732) to cut two of the titles from white cardstock, and backed the space with the Ombre/Hearts Bella Besties paper in Orange.  I set it on the front of the pocket and added a few embellishments from the Sweet and Spooky collection and stickers from the Let's Go on an Adventure collection.

 

I created two large tags to hold a picture and story.  This time, I used papers from the same collections, and made sure they stacked nicely in the pocket; this helps with easy access to the tags.

 

 

I repeated some of the same embellishments that I used in the photo and front of the pocket when it came to embellishing the tags.  I made sure that they both complemented the colors of the large picture.

Mood Board inspired |Nathalie

Hello Bella Blvd friends!

Nathalie with you today to share a new page inspired on this month's mood board.   The colors, shapes and designs in this month's board were a great starting point for my page.  Let me show you the moodboard we are using as inspiration.

How can i not love all the vibrant colors and shapes in the board.  Those were a large part of the inspiration for my page:

The first thing that pop into my eyes was the diagonal stripe and triangular shape on the first two squares.   In addition, i just love all the teal color pop, and then there are the circles/pie shapes.  So, i decided to mix them up on this page.

I started with the background work.   For this, I chose the Goofing Off paper from the Pop Quiz collection, and added a bit of ink blending using some teal, pink, orange and mustard yellow colors - these are the most prominent colors in the board-. While the ink settle, i worked on creating the circles for the layout - i wanted a formation of circles as the one in the board for the background).

 

I used washi tape and attached it to white cardstock  to form the black and white strip square from the board.   Then used papers from the Bella Besties and Squeeze The Day collection to create the pie forms  so that they have the same formation as the first square in the board.  I cut all the circles with the same die, and also used some of the same patterned papers to cut full circles. I added a bit of detail to the circles with a white pen, and attached them to the background with dimensional adhesive.

I placed the picture on the top right side of the circle rows and added a few embellishments. I then decided to color block embellishments on the full circles  using die cuts and stickers from the Squeeze the Day, Chloe and Mom Life collection.  I finished the page by creating a title using the new Aria Puffy stickers in White.

 

I love how this page turned out  using the mood board as inspiration.   Now it is your turn to use the amazing Bella Blvd products to create a page of your own!  Remember to share with us your projects, as we love to be inspired by your work!

Outdoor Summer Mini Album

It's still summer for a few more weeks and I'm sure there are lots of you who are enjoying the outdoors these days.  With this in mind, I decided to create an 8x8 album that will hopefully inspire you to save some of those fun summer memories.

I started with a chipboard album by Prima, and pulled out some colorful Bella Besties to use with my Wreath Cut-Out.  Even though you might think the wreath design is for the holidays, I love how using just half of the design worked for my outdoorsy cover.  

I created my base pages with white card stock.  I love how the bright colors of the Let's Go on An Adventure collection really pop off the white background.

 

I layered several ephemera pieces with some ribbon and twine to give this page some dimension and texture.  That bear is so cute!

For the page above, I created a little hinge out of card stock, attached a piece of Bear Tracks Clear Cuts, and layered the edge with some super cute washi tape.  The clear page lifts up to reveal some more photo mats underneath.

Hello Bella fans, it is Dorymar today sharing with you a cute layout featuring Let’s go on an Adventure Collection. This summer has been a little different from previous years due to the pandemic, but as a family, we always try to have a fun time to get out of the routine. This time I share a simple and colorful layout that documents one of our summer activities.

For the tile of my layout, I used one of the Bella Blvd Digital Cut files (At the Lake ID #290722) from Silhouette Store and backed up with different patterned papers of the collection. As I really like the dimension, I used foam tape between the digital file and the papers to create layers and a beautiful dimension.

To highlight the background of the title, I made splashes with a brush and white paint. I also adhered a few pieces selected from the Sticker Sheet and Ephemera pack to make some clusters around the title and give a beautiful look.

I embellished the top corner of my page with the beautiful pieces included in the ephemera icons pack and chipboard stickers. This cluster near my photos makes it pop and everything looks very uniform.

I love how my layout turned out and hope I have inspired you to use the fun Lets go on an Adventure Collection to create a fun project to document your outdoor activities during this Summer.

Summer nights layout - Lisa Fonseca

Hi scrappy people, 

it's Lisa back on the blog and today I'm sharing my first project using the new Aria puffy alpha stickers!!

We've all been impatiently waited for the new Aria Alphas to arrive and I was so glad when I got them in the mail last week. The colors are, as always, amazing and you can surely find the one you're looking for, for each and every layout. I really love them! :)

So my idea was to create a layout using A LOT of them... but it didn't quite turn out how I first imagined it...haha!!

I wanted to start with a cutfile... so I went through the Bella Blvd cutfiles and found this new one that I LOVED. It's a tree with big flowers, it's so cute! I cut out the trunk, leaves and flowers from different Bella patterned papers. I used several collections, like Bug Explorer, Let's go on an Adventure or Wish Big. I also cut it out once more, on white paper, to have a guide on where to put the different pieces. 

While the Silhouette machine was doing it's job, I created a mixed media background, using blue, purple and pink watercolors. I let it dry and splattered white and gold paint on it. Then, I let it dry again. 

To adhere my tree pieces, I placed the paper guide onto the layout and "puzzled" all the pieces into it. Then I removed the guide and I had my finished tree. I was so happy, it looked so cool on the background. 

The plan was to then choose a super cool, long quote from Pinterest and use my new alphas to write it on the layout, starting from the tree and going towards the right. I did that using different colors but the result wasn't satisfying.

I made a pause and came back to the layout the next day. I took off all the alphas and decided not to use as many as I has planned, but to only do a normal-sized title for this one. I went back to the tree guide, traced some more leaves and flowers, cut them out and created a part of another tree on the upper right side of the page. 

I used gesso and watercolors to create texture and dimension on the trees and then also added stars and hearts.

I saw a cool scalloped green stripe on the Let's go on an Adventure sticker sheet and thought it would be amazing to put on the bottom, representing the grass. I also added some ephemera trees, a chipboard bear, an ephemera owl and some clouds, all from the same collection.

To finish, I finally used my alphas and wrote a very simple title: "Summer nights". 

Like I said, you should really get some of the Aria Alphas, if possible in each and every color!! :) They are so cute and the colors are so bright and fun.
