Hi friends! Laura Alberts here with my first Creative Team project for Bella Blvd! I absolutely love this stunning Time to Travel collection and just had to document our road trip! From Mississippi to Illinois, I documented every state street sign and a few memorable sights along the way in this 4x4 grid.
I first gutted this beautiful striped paper, Freeway, then layered white cardstock on top. The remaining section of paper was cut into 2.5 inch squares and lined up in a grid using a t-square ruler. I loved the idea of these squares echoing the striped border!
After adding my thirteen photos, I tucked in pieces from both the Icons and Words & Tags ephemera packs in the Time to Travel collection, then followed up with Scenic Route puffy stickers and Getaway epoxies! Each little square has a unique cluster added inside, some simple and some a bit more complex.
I wanted to include a little bit of journaling, so I was sure to devote one of the squares to a journaling spot. By layering a scrap of cardstock over one of the cut apart squares from the Daily Details paper, I could add a word phrase and lines to create a quick and easy journaling spot. The keys were the perfect touch to tuck underneath of 'Road Trip'.
The majority of my clusters are built in the corner of the photos, but a few are along the sides, just to switching things up a bit. I loved that the I-55 highway sign was included in the Icons ephemera pack because that's the highway we took for a good part of the trip!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find some inspiration for documenting your travels and adventures all year long! This collection was such a joy to create with, such versatile icons!
