Smile My Lucky Charm | Lake Life + Bella Besties and Letter Scramble

Hello Bella friends, Gloria Parra here with a new layout focusing on green using the “Lake Life” collection + Bella Besties. This kind of challenges are an awesome way to stretch those themed collections and create something totally unexpected!

For this layout, I started with 2 green patterned papers from the Lake Life collection. I loved the idea of incorporating some light blue and yellow to my page. I had the perfect photos of my little one looking all cute ready to go to her “husbands” birthday party, LOL! The color combo was perfect for my photos!

I started cutting the plaid patterned paper from the Lake Life collection at 6 inches tall by 9 inches wide and used a green Bella Bestie paper for the bottom part. Making my patterned background 10”x9”.

For my middle band I used green polka dot patterned paper from the Lake Life collection. I cut it at 11” x 3”. For my two 3x4 vertical photos I used the sunflower patterned paper and a Bella Bestie yellow grid paper to create the frames for my photos. I love how these patterned papers make my photos pop and take center stage.

I then cut a 3x4 tag from a light blue grid patterned paper and used it to create  my first embellishment cluster and to add my title on top of it. I love how the Letter Scrambles look when you mix the fonts and colors. For my embellishments I used a bunch of daisies and different color flowers. I love the little from that’s jumping on top of my letters and is wearing sunglasses just like my girl is on the photos!

I then created 2 other embellishment clusters, adding more florals, vines, flies and some enamel leaves. To finish my layout, I sprinkled some enamel dots and added some cute flies floating around my page!

I hope you guys like this layout and feel inspired to use your themed collections in a totally new way. The Lake Life collection is perfect for those St Patrick photos that you have waiting to be scrapped!

Lake Life & Besties Cards | Stephanie Buice

Hi everyone! Steph B here today, sharing some cards I created for this week's assignment. This time around we were asked to create projects using Bella Besties, Lake Life, Letter Scrambles and to focus on the color green, I hope you like what I came up with!

For my first card I used paper strips to create the background, and then built on top of that. I mixed a few ephemera pieces, and the arrow Doohickey sticker, then finished it off with some Blueberry Letter Scrambles.

My second card was one that I think could make a great and easy go-to template for any occasion. I simply trimmed three paper strips of differing widths into tags, added my greeting and a little ephemera piece to finish it off. The possibilities with this one are endless!

My third and final card was one of my favorites of the three. I love how easily this one came together with a few fussy cut flowers and butterflies. I used the "Friends" ephemera piece and Letter Scrambles stickers for the sentiment, and it came together rather quickly once I had a based figured out.

Sunny Day Ahead | Gloria Parra | Lake Life + Bella Besties

Hello sweet Bella Blvd friends! Gloria Parra here today with a super fun layout. We were challenged this week to use our Bella Besties and the “Lake Life” collection to create a St. Patricks inspired layout, and OH how I loved the end result!

I started my layout with the green Lake Life polka dot patterned paper as my base, leaving a border all around. I then cut my white cardstock at 11,5 x 11,5 inches and adhered it on top. 

With the help of my trusty Bella Besties I created my super colorful rainbow, cutting each color of the rainbow with Bella Besties paper as well as some monochromatic Lake Life patterned papers. I die cut some clouds  in different sizes and different shades of blue and placed them on 3 corners, creating a visual triangle on my layout.

My idea for this page was to have a pot of spring flowers (instead of gold) at the end of my rainbow. To create my pot I used a black Bella Bestie pattered paper and the Sunny Day chipboard sticker from the Lake Life collection for my title. The red “ahead” subtitle comes from the fantastic Letter Scramble stickers. 

All the gorgeous flowers bursting from my pot come from the Lake Life ephemera packs and the Bella Pops in this incredible collection. The little turtle and frog at the bottom of my pot are also some Bella Pops from the this collection.

I printed my photos on two 2 1/4 x 6 inches photo strips and use a piece of the black patterned paper to create a frame for them, bringing the black to the left side of my layout as well. 

I then created little embellishment clusters  and  scenes on my clouds, adding little butterflies all around, which help lead the eyer through the layout. I also added some enamel dots to mark the trace of the butterflies…love how that looks!

Finally, I decided to use up all my enamel dots by placing a bunch of them on each color of my rainbow. I love the subtle shine and interest that this adds to my page! For my story I printed some journaling strips and placed them under my photo strips. 

What a fun page to create friends, you would never guess this layout was made with a lake them collection right? Hope you feel inspired to grab your bella collections and make them work for your next themed layout. Have a great day friends!

Bella Besties I Heather Cerulo

Hello there and happy Leap Day! Today I am sharing a rainbow inspired layout using the lovely Bella Besties.  Have you seen the new line of Bella Bestie papers? Swoonworthy!

 

For this layout, I decided to make a rainbow chevron background.  Start by cutting 1.5" squares from the dotted side of the Bella Besties papers.  Next up, cut those squares diagonally to create triangles.  Finally, lay the pieces out to create a chevron! Fun and easy!  One last additional step is to add machine stitching through the chevron for some nice texture.

 

I used the Letter Scramble alphas for my title in Black and Guacamole, because of course "green" had to be in Guacamole...it's only right for Kermit the Frog!

 

 

To embellish, I used pieces from the Lake Life collection, including ephemera, Ciao Chip and Bella-Pops.  I created a cascade of flower from the top to the bottom of the layout.

 

 

The finishing touches were the Trinkets Puffy Stickers in matching colors.  I used the hearts to tuck around the clusters and to finish off my layout!

Lake Life Layout | Maree

Hi Bella friends,

I'm here on the blog to share a Lake Life project with you. I wanted to create a simple, clean layout with these hiking photos. The pictures are older and not the best quality so I decided to keep them smaller for the layout. Some of the ephemera words and icons from the Lake Life collection were just perfect to complement my photos!

I started with an offset grid, using three pictures and three coordinating papers from the collection kit. I like how the grid is a little offset on the page, adding interest and helping keep the focus on the title. I matted my layout base of white cardstock on the B side of the 'Row your Oar' paper because the green was the perfect match for the title - The Great Outdoors.

I backed my pics with the teal blue paper called 'Lakes Vibes' and then cut my other 3 papers to match the size of the backed photos.

 

I really wanted to make the title a highlight of the page so I framed the title with a little flower cluster, with epoxy for shine. I added the 'No Wifi, No Problem' ephemera phrase, because it was so perfect for my story. On this trip we lost cell coverage!

My next little cluster was of the cute trees, the 'Fresh Air' word ephemera and the 'explore' tab. I added the little yellow arrow to tie in with the sun and flowers in the other clusters.

I finished the page with a little cross stitch stamp in blue ink. I also added in the teal heart. I adore the hearts Bella Blvd has in each of their collections. They are so cute.

Finally, I used some of the Doohickey stickers layered up and Icon Ephemera to complete the last cluster. How adorable is that little polkadot sun? I'm really happy with how the page turned out. I had some extra embellishments on the page but went back and removed them as the goal was to keep this one clean and simple! I hope you get a chance to play in your craft space today.

Together, Making Memories | Gloria Parra

Hello Bella besties, hope you’re having a wonderful day! Today I have a fun layout using the Lake Life Collection. I love the versatility of this collection, it works perfectly with outdoor photos too! This time I used one special photo of a weekend in the mountains with very special friends and our little ones.

I started my layout with the brown patterned paper as my base; I then cut a white textured cardstock at 11 x 11” and added a very thin border with the red polka dot patterned paper, to add some contrast to my paper layers.

I then proceeded to cut nine 3x3” squares choosing the “outdoorsy” patterned papers, leaving out the fish and lake themed patterns. I added machine stitching to my white cardstock and to all my 3x3” squares. I love the texture that stitching add to my projects!

I then adhered all 9 squares using foam adhesive to add some dimension to my layout, and decided to place the photo at the left side of my page. I matted my photo with the red polka dot paper to make it pop a little.

I then created an embellishment cluster at the right side of my photo using the “view” flashcard word element (Daily Details paper) and some tree ephemera as well as the gorgeous Bella-Pops cabin to create my little scene that reminds me of the beautiful cabin my friends have in the mountains.

For my title, I used the “Together” chipboard sticker and added a word ephemera that says “Making Memories” as my subtitle. 

At the top right corner I added a little punched yellow label and some ephemera and chipboard elements for decoration. 

To finish my layout I added some little fireflies flying around my embellishment clusters! Hope you like it friends, and I hope you feel inspired to scrap those outdoor pictures and memories!

Fun Together | Lake Life

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today and I’m so excited to share another layout featuring the Lake Life collection.  Here’s my page: 

To start, I chose white cardstock as my base and tore into the B side of the Daily Details paper as well as the Boat Waves paper.  I wanted to create somewhat of a scene design on my layout since my photo is of my son and his friends on a pier.  I used the wood grain as the pier and the waves pattern as the water.  

To create some additional waves for the water section of my design, I added in a few of the waves from both the Puffy Stickers and Ephemera Icons packs.  I also adhered a few fish from the Ciao Chip Chipboard Stickers.  I love how it turned out!

For my title, I used a phrase from the Ciao Chip Chipboard Sticker sheet and added onto it using a phrase from the Ephemera Words pack.  I love that the ‘together’ phrase pops on the wood grain paper.  I also added in a few more phrases underneath my title and popped them up on foam for some interest.  

In the Ephemera Icons pack there’s a row of adirondack chairs that I’ve been wanting to use on a page and I thought that this was the perfect page for it.  I adhered it to the bottom of my page and added a few embellishments around it.  

Next, I embellished up in the “sky” portion of my page by adding in a sun, clouds and a few butterflies.  

As a finishing touch, I sprinkled in a few Enamel Dots and that completed my page.  Here’s one last look:
