4th of July using Fireworks and Freedom

Hello, fellow scrapbookers! Today, I’m excited to share how I created a vibrant 12x12 scrapbook page to capture the memories of our 4th of July celebration, using Bella Blvd's Fireworks and Freedom collection. This collection is perfect for adding a splash of color to any patriotic page!

I started with an oversized photo as the centerpiece of my layout. My scrappy friend Wendy, who makes the most beautiful quilts, inspired me to create a paper quilt around the photo. I used Bella Besties paper in red, cutting out tiny quilting diamonds and alternating their patterns to make a dynamic and eye-catching background.

Next, I added some fun borders from the Doohickeys sticker sheet along the edges of the page. These little details help frame the layout and add an extra layer of interest.

No good scrapbooking page is complete without a pun! For my title, I used the chipboard word "parade" and combined it with "freedom," which I cut up to spell "don't." So, my title reads "parade don't," which takes me back to the funny moment when our dogs tried to hide under my shirt to escape the fireworks. It’s a playful way to remember that day.

To finish off the page, I cut several chipboard stars in half and placed them along the bottom to support my journaling. I also added stars on either side of the title, creating a spark-tastic effect that ties everything together.

All American Mini Album with the Fireworks and Freedom Collection!

 

Hi everyone, it's Tara with Secretbees Studio! I hope you all had a very enjoyable and safe 4th of July holiday! I'm here with some inspiration for an adorable patriotic mini album that was made with the Fireworks and Freedom collection. This collection is full of beautiful red, white and blue icons and embellishments and awesome sentiments that are perfect for this celebration!

This little fold up mini album features some foldouts, flips and a pocket and will actually hold quite a few photos! I am a sucker for the red, white and blue combo so I had a ton of fun decorating this mini and I added in some coordinating Bella Besties patterned papers along with the red hearts from Let's Scrapbook!

The cover features a large ciao chipboard word along with some festive fireworks and stars and then you open the album to reveal a heart ephemera that rotates to open a sweet photo or journaling spot. The second page is a pocket that is stuffed with some pretty embellished tags from the collection! The large fireworks ephemera pieces are just fabulous!

This next section has quite a few options for photos or journaling. The first is this double sided photo card held in place by a large decorative icon and there is room for another photo on the adjoining page which also opens up to a sweet little photo flip and an area for an extra large photo!

Happy Memorial Day! Fireworks & Freedom

Hello Friends! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout featuring the Fireworks & Freedom collection! 

Liam loves going to the parade every year so I snapped some pics of his excitement before we loaded up in the car! The firetrucks are always his favorite and getting a bag full of candy! I started out my layout with a piece of white textured cardstock cut down to 11.50x11.50 and matted it onto some Bella Besties and then one of the pattern papers from the Fireworks & Freedom papers!

I wanted to create strips of pattern paper across the page and while going through all the papers I found a scrap of the borders paper that was perfect to cut up and add to the layout! I distressed the edges of all the strips and adhered them down to my layout. I matted each photo with paper from the Fireworks & Freedom collection and then adhered to the right side of my layout with foam adhesive.

The embellishments in this collection are so fun and such a big variety of words and icons to pick from! My favorite is the Little Firecracker word die cut! It is the perfect piece for Liam! I layered up die cuts and stickers from the Fireworks & Freedom collection to create clusters on the left and right of my photos.

I wanted to tuck in a few things around the paper strips of the layout so I added tabs and used some of the fireworks die cuts. Since Liam has on his super cool star shades I added the adorable sunglasses die cut to the bottom left corner!

This layout was so fun and easy to put together! To finish off the layout I pulled out the Bella Blvd Trinket Puffy Stickers and added them to the centers of some of the die cuts and added them around some of the embellishment clusters!

Fireworks & Freedom | Laura Alberts

Hello friends! Welcome to a fun Fireworks & Freedom layout featuring my adorable twins in a 4th of July parade of their own making. My girls piled into a wagon and cruised around the backyard.

Using a large title mixed between a large Ciao Chip 'Parade' with Aria puffy alphas, the focus is on my larger 4x4 inch photo of my twins' adorable stars and stripes outfits. The banner underneath is a combination of a Ciao Chip and a cut apart banner from the Borders patterned paper from Fireworks & Freedom.

The photo strip I created on the right side of the layout is a layer of Bella Besties in Blueberry, then a layer of Borders from Fireworks & Freedom. I added three 2x2 photos and two 2x2 cardstock squares to fill the photo strip. On the two cardstock squares I created clusters with ephemera icons and words and puffy stickers for a bit of fun!

One of my favorite ways to make my photos and layers pop is to hand draw borders along the perimeter. It gives the impression of depth and really makes them stand out.

To finish off this layout, I used the Juicy Fruits patterned paper to add a bright border around the outside perimeter.

Getting Those 4th of July Photos Created!

Hello, Bella friends, and happy Sunday! We don't normally post on Sundays, but I just wanted to share my cute page! I honestly can't believe July 4th came and went so quickly. Hope you all had a blast and are staying cool on these warm, summer days. Anyway, Sarah (@redoaklines), here hosting today's blog post.

In honor of the 4th nearly 2 weeks ago (what, is that even right?!), I wanted to share a Fireworks + Freedom layout in hopes to inspire you to get those photos printed and start creating!

Here's what I created:

I'm now just getting around to scrapping these photos of my "babies" from when they were toddlers. They wore those Statue of Liberty headbands all day. 

I started off my layout by backing my photos behind some Fireworks + Freedom patterned papers. 

I added a mix of firework bursts from the Bella Ephemera Icons and Ciao Chipboards. I scattered them on the sides of my photos to make it look like fireworks going off in the night sky. 

I added a cute pennant banner that I fussy-cut out from one of the Fireworks + Freedom patterned papers. How cute, right?! It adds that celebration look to my layout. 

I kept it simple for my title using the black Florence alphabet stickers and one star Trinket puffy sticker to the "O". Honestly, you can't go wrong with the Florence alphabet stickers! They're so versatile, and they come in every Bella Bestie color!

Fireworks & Freedom | Inessa

Hi friends,

Inessa here today sharing my layout for fireworks & freedom week! I love summer and all of the celebrations, get-togethers and holidays it brings. We usually celebrate the fourth of July with a neighborhood party, a family pool party and sometime a good 'ole parade.

For this layout, I started with some stenciling and watercoloring using a red ink and water to create background spots for my photo and banner. I then tore a rough square from the Borders paper (showing the stripe side) and ephemera from the Icons and Words packs. 

Next step was adding the title and building out the banner at the top with fussy cut pieces from the Borders paper and a few punched with my banner punch. I used Ciao Chip pieces for the title and the blue and red star. 

As I final step, I decided to trim off 1/2 inch on the right and left sides of my white cardstock and added a strip of the Borders paper.

This was a quick layout to create and I love the result! I have a process video up on the Bella Blvd YouTube channel as well if you'd like to see it come together.

Fireworks & Freedom | Erica Thompson

Hello friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am on the blog today to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Fireworks & Freedom collection! 

I created some layered stitched hearts using steel dies from my stash and different pattern papers from the Fireworks & Freedom collection! 

I used a piece of white textured cardstock as my base and trimmed it down to 11x11 and matted it on a piece of red pattern paper from the Fireworks & Freedom collection. I matted both of these onto one of the pattern papers from the same collection. 

Next I added the stitched layered stars to the layout. Some of them I adhered directly to the white cardstock and some are popped up on foam adhesive for added dimension. 

The photos I am documenting are of Lima Jay in his festive sunglasses! He loves silly sunglasses as much as I do and the Fireworks & Freedom collection was perfect for these photos! I matted them onto some red pattern paper from the collection and adhered them to the layout! I used a few different ephemera pieces to embellish around the photos and tucked in a few of the firework die cuts. I added a scalloped border sticker under the photos and then a couple die cuts under the photos. To finish off the layout I glued down some sequins from my stash onto my layout.

Happy Independence Day! | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Happy Independence Day to my fellow American friends!  Brianna here today sharing a new layout for Fireworks & Freedom Week.  Here's my layout: 

To start, I took the 12x12 Borders patterned paper and trimmed down almost all of them.  Since I printed my photo a little long and more narrow than I usually do, I wanted to have all of the strips adhered down in a vertical design.  I took a piece of plain white cardstock and trimmed 1" inch off of the top and one of the sides.  I distressed the edges and then adhered it right in the center of the Dot & Graph paper in McIntosh.  

I distressed all of the edges of my strips and adhered them all down towards the left side of the page.  

I matted my photo using the Dot & Graph papers in Ice and Blueberry and adhered it right on top of the strips.  For my title, I used the America Acrylic Word and put it right on top of my photo.  I love how it pops! 

For my embellishment clusters, I used the Ciao Chip Chipboard Stickers and both of the Ephemera Icons and Words. 

I wanted to add a small subtitle so I created one using the Florence Alphas in Blueberry.  I added a large Ephemera piece in the shape of the USA and layered a heart flag right on top of it.  

Here's one more shot of this layout to celebrate our Independence!  This photo is of my two boys waiting for their Dad to get off of his plane after being away on a 6 month deployment.  Elijah was wearing his flight suit of course!

Fireworks & Freedom | Rachel

Happy July friends! July is such a great month. Of course, here in America we are thinking all things red, white, and blue as we begin to celebrate our countries' birthday! Just last week we picked up our Old Navy t-shirts for the 4th and so I took some pics of my boys. Bella Blvd's Fireworks & Freedom collection is perfect for celebrating all things patriotic! 

I started with a piece of white cardstock as my base. I took out the Bella Besties Graph and Dot paper in the color McIntosh and cut a  4" X 12" inch strip. I adhered it to the left side of the cardstock. I added more layers on top of it by using the Borders 12" x 12" patterned paper from the collection. I cut two of the borders and added them on top of the red graph paper. I finished off that side of the paper with a thin piece of black cardstock and some lines using my favorite black pen.

 

I added three photos on top of my layered papers. Love these faces! Next, I used the Bella Blvd Florence Alphas to create my title. These stickers are a must have! I used three colors - Black, Blueberry and McIntosh. I then used some of my favorite stitch stamps in between each section of the title. I also stamped stars of various sizes around the white cardstock.

 

I really love all the embellishments in this Fireworks and Freedom collection, but my favorite has to be the acrylic shapes (patriotic stars). I also used the Ciao Chip, the Ephemera Icons, and the Ephemera Words to add different clusters of embellishments around the page.

Veterans Day | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout in honor of Veterans Day.  We are a military family stationed in Northwest Louisiana so this day has always been very special to us.  We should all honor those who have served both past and present.  For this layout, I used the Fireworks & Freedom collection along with the plane outline cut file.  Here's my layout!  The photo I used is of my very own hero and our sweet pups.  He was leaving on a 6 month deployment overseas and our doggies were saying their goodbyes.  It was a very sweet moment!

 

 

To start, I cut the cut file out twice.  One was the original and the other one was an offset version, so that I could have it as a border underneath it.  Once they were done cutting, I took the original cut file and did some ink blending right onto it.  I used a gray ink pad from my stash and then added in a bit of blue to give it some dimension.  I popped the whole plane up on foam tape and then adhered it down to the offset piece.  I also added some highlights using my white gel pen.  

 

 

I created a mixed media background by doing more ink blending with some Distress Oxide inks from my stash. I wanted to create a background that resembled the sky so that my plane cut file would pop on top of it.  I added some white ink splatters for a bit of interest and then adhered everything down.  Next, I matted my photo with a couple of the patterned papers from the collection and punched out a few stars from a few more papers.

I backed each star with some foam tape and layered some cardstock sticker stars, acrylic stars and chipboard stars around each one.  

 

 

For my title, I used the Florence Alphas in White and adhered them right onto the plane.  Then I added some Trinkets Puffy stars in McIntosh and Blueberry.  

 

 

I added some white tangled thread into a few clusters to finish off the layout and that was it!

Catching Up With Stars & Stripes Week - Day 4 | Melissa

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! 

Since we had You Are My Sunshine reveals during Stars & Stripes week, we were unable to share Melissa's awesome project! So today we're playing catch up because we wouldn't want you to miss out on her hard work and creativity!

Here is what Melissa had to say in her post...

Good Morning, Bella friends! This is Melissa here today with you and I have loved all the fun projects we have shared on the blog this week. I really loved working on my project for this week since it was all out red, white, and blue!

I started my project by using the "Seeing Stars" digital cut file that is available in the Silhouette Design Store HERE. I cut this out on white card stock and then layered that over a piece of dark blue pattern paper from the Fireworks and Freedom Paper Collection. 

This created the background for my project and added a bunch of already cut out stars that worked perfectly with the design of my project. Next, I spritzed some red and blue ink across the white card stock and let it dry. While it was drying, I cut out a large circle on a piece of scrap paper and once the ink was dried on my card stock, I used the circle as my template to get the first circle stitched on my paper with my sewing machine. I sewed multiple times in white thread and then placed some of the die-cut stars on my layout and then stitched those down with some blue thread. Lastly, I stitched around a few more times with red thread. 

Next, I layered my pattern papers and photos in a block and adhered down in the lower right hand corner. I knew I wanted to use the acrylic word "SPARKLE" and came up with the title "She Puts A Sparkle In Our Eye" which was layered above and below my pictures. I typed a single strip of journaling and glued that down underneath my title. 

Lastly, I used the acrylic patriotic stars, ciao chip, and doohickey stickers to fill in my stitched circle.
