EiEiO Collection Debut Week | Gloria Parra

Hello Bella friends! Its Gloria here with a new layout for EiEiO debut week!!! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect collection than this one for all the farm photos of my kiddos! It is so fun and cute, you will love it!!!

I started this layout with the idea of creating a little scene of the farm we went to with my daughters classroom. For this I chose three pattered papers to create the structure of my layout. The green “farmhouse” patterned paper, which I used both sides; the green for the bottom and the farmhouses for the middle section of my layout. I the chose the borders paper and used the B side with the tone on tone light blue polka dots for my sky.

For the base of my layout I chose the bold red grid patterned paper, which I love and need a couple sheets more, its the perfect barn red!!!

I cut the green strip of patterned paper at 3 x 9 inches to create my “grass” at the bottom. The farmhouse patterned paper was cut at 7,5 x 9 inches wide and the light blue sky paper was cut at 3 x 9 inches. 

I then proceeded to adhere those 3 patterned papers to create a 10 inches wide by 12 inches tall piece that I adhered at the center of my red grid base. 

I added two border strips from the sticker sheet to the borders where the patterned papers meet (top and bottom) and added some zig zag machine stitching with my sewing machine to add a different texture to my layout.

I matted 3 3x4 inch photos in the yellow polka dot patterned paper and cut this mat at 4,5 x 9,5 and centered it at the top os my farmhouse paper. 

I then created two embellishment clusters where I layered a bunch of die cuts from both ephemera packs included in this fun collection. I loved the Farm Life word included in the word pack and used it as my title. I created a little scene at the bottom cluster using a tree, a little girl that represents my daughter and the beautiful bella pop “raised in a farm” dimensional sticker.

At the top cluster I created a sky scene using a yellow scalloped sticker from the sticker sheet and a chipboard sun. I finished my sky with clouds and some fun words that remind me of that fun day with my girl and her classmates. 

I finished my layout sprinkling some small epoxy stickers from the puffy sheet and added some typed journaling strips to tell my story

Cap & Gown l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! It's Kirei here with my very first blog post and I'm super excited to be sharing the layout I created with the fabulous new Cap & Gown collection! I decided to use the collection in a non-graduation way as there are so many great patterned papers and embellishments that can be used to tell other stories.... so I pulled out some photos from a few years back of me receiving my Disney Store 20 Year Anniversary Award from the boss himself.... Mickey Mouse (who is also my fave character)! 

I started by picking out the Just Graduated paper (black spots on grey) and gutted the centre leaving a 1" frame. Then I trimmed the Dream Big paper (black stars on white) down to 11½" square, distressed the edges and stuck down to the black spotted frame.

Now I wanted to use the Clear Cuts Star Studded acetate sheet in some way so decided to create a cute shaker pocket which is super easy to make! I pulled out the silver diamonds photo frame from the Cap & Gown Ephemera Words set, then stuck a piece of the Star Studded acetate to the reverse of it. I added a row of foam pads around the border on the back, filled it with some of the Sequin Mix in Domino and then backed it with a piece of That's a Wrap paper (grey hearts on black) and there you have it... one little shaker pocket! 

Now it was time to start adding the details to my layout... firstly I added the black scalloped border from the Cap & Gown Doohickey Stickers across the centre of my page. I backed my three photos using the Just Graduated paper, distressed the edges and then stuck them down using foam pads on the top edges only (stuck flat along the bottom). I did leave a gap at the top of the photos so that I could tuck in two tags from the Ephemera Words set, I distressed the edges and tied some red twine to both before adding my journaling to one of them.

I created embellishment clusters above and below my photos using the Cap & Gown Ephemera Words and Icons, Celebrate Epoxy Stickers and Ciao Chip Icons. 

Next was to add my title which was a combination of the Ephemera Words and the Florence Alpha. 

I added a few extra pops of red to tie in with my photo using some red stars from the Trinkets Puffy Stickers and I was done!

Cap & Gown - conGRADulations | Gloria Parra

Hello Bella friends, this is Gloria here with a very special layout today using the fabulous Cap & Gown collection. I went back almost 10 years with these photos, but I'm so glad I'm finally telling this story! It felt like such an important milestone for my husband that I was always scared to scrap it, thinking I wouldn't do it justice...

Back when we were dating, my husband decided to finish his business mayor in the USA before we got married. It was really hard, to work full time and study at the same time, but we had settled to do it, and I was there for him the entire time. He finally graduated, and with the highest of honors...summa cum laude!!! I couldn't be prouder of him, I know all the effort and long nights that were needed for this. I love these photos of him, his big smile and joy can be seen and felt. I also love that little ephemera that says "this was nothing like high school musical" LOL, because it really wasn't! 😁

For this layout I created a big band with patterned paper that covered 2/3 of my layout. I used the paper with little black heart that I adored, it is one of my favorites of this collection. I used two thin strips of the bold black and white lined paper and stitched the borders of where those two papers meet.

I created a grid style layout using 6 big circles (3 and 3,5 inches) that I cut with my paper punch and added three of my favorite photos of that day. On the other 3 circles I added the gorgeous, foiled silver stars acetate as the base and used some Bella pops, ephemera, stickers and chipboard to decorate those three embellishment clusters. I added word strips to all 3 clusters to create some repetition and lead the eye of the reader. I also used a blue grid Bella Bestie patterned paper to add some blue starts in my embellishment clusters. I wanted to include some blue elements to match my husband's university colors.

My favorite piece of embellishment is the beautiful Bella pop gown with the shinning stars, it is adorable!! For my title I chose the big conGRADulations piece, I love the play on words. Under the title I added some grid patterned paper and printed my journaling out to tell this beautiful story. I'm so glad it is finally in scrapbook!!!

Cap & Gown Debut Week! | Gloria Parra

Hello crafty friends! This is Gloria Parra from Bolivia, and this is my first post for the Bella Blvd creative team! It's a true honor to be here this year, I couldn't be happier and excited to be creating with such beautiful and colorful products that I love!!!

I had a blast creating with the new Cap & Gown collection, it was the perfect opportunity to scrap about all the graduations in our family. This first layout is about my daughter's virtual graduation party from her daycare in 2020. Those little graduated girls and balloons were perfect for my photos!!!

I started my layout with two sheets of patterned paper, the white polka dot paper that I cut at 11,5" x 11,5" and distressed the borders a little, and the "hats off" black patterned paper included in this collection. I used my 3 favorite photos of my sweet girl and created 3 embellishment clusters with the cute little grads and balloons at the top.

To finish my clusters, I used decorative elements from the sticker sheet, the ephemera pack, chipboard stickers, Bella pops and some epoxy stickers that looked like confetti bursting from those clusters. I love creating texture and layers in my layouts and I this was no exception; I really like the interest all those different elements create in a page.

Finally, I typed my journaling and cut little strips that I placed at the top right of my layout. This was not the graduation that we had planned but we tried to make it as special as possible for her and let me tell you those balloons made her day!

Sketch Week | Laura Alberts

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my take on this fabulous sketch created by Allison Davis for Scrapbook & Cards Today. Loved the resemblance in this background to a chevron, so I leaned into that for my design.

I pulled out the Our Love Song collection for this sweet set of photos of my youngest at a hands-on museum. The colors in these photos were so bright and cheerful, Our Love Song was a perfect match. While the layout took on a bold and bright look overall, I love that the photos still stand out thanks to the clusters around them.

For my large title, I fussy cut the words from the Borders patterned paper and lined it up along the top edge of the chevron. Behind my photos, I tucked two tags from the Word Ephemera pack and a few lovely florals as well.

 

Underneath of my photos is a subtitle that helps connect the two photos to a linear base. I added a scalloped border sticker from the Doohickey sticker sheet to level the bottom of my photo cluster.

Each of my floral clusters began with a few larger florals from the Words Ephemera pack, then are layered with puffy stickers from the Love You More set. I especially liked these little puffy triangles which added a whimsical emphasis to the photo cluster and draws the eye straight to these fun photos!

Mood Board Week | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today and I'm super excited to share this layout I made using the gorgeous March Mood Board along with the You Are My Sunshine collection.  Here's my page:

I was immediately inspired by the top left square and decided to recreate that same watercolor rainbow look by spraying some Shimmerz Paints sprays onto a piece of thick white cardstock.  I went in rainbow order and sprayed each color and then brushed it down the page.  Super simple!

There's a super cute cloud right under the rainbow square, so I used the cloud Cut Outs from the Over The Rainbow Cut Outs pack.  I popped it up on foam tape and then for some extra sparkle, I applied some gold Stickles directly onto the clouds.  

For my title, I used one of the Ephemera Icons pieces and adhered it right on top of my photo.  I also matted my photo using a few of the patterned papers in the collection.  

When it was time to embellish, I did so by color blocking with more Ephemera Icons, Epoxy Stickers and the Fly Away Bella Pops.  

For some extra color and texture, I added some tangled thread in all of the colors and tucked in under the Cut Out.  

Here's one last look at this bright and colorful layout.

Hello friends! I'm using the stunning March mood board to inspire my layout this week. The rainbow, tiny hearts, and bright yellow caught my attention, and added to this grid style, were the primary focus for my design. Love the bright happy colors in this one!

I used the lovely Everyday Magic paper for the background and then layered the Bell Pepper Freehand Graph & Dot and My Only Sunshine striped patterned papers to create a column design on this 9x12 layout. Two of my photos are matted with bright pink Happy Thoughts and the larger photo is matted with a cut-apart piece from the Daily Details.

I outlined each section of my layout with a black gel pen to give it a shadow that adds the appearance of depth and dimension. Small clusters around my photos were a fun way to embellish a bold color scheme without overwhelming my photos.

For my title, I layered an acrylic word "Sparkle" over a chipboard scallop and a rainbow cluster on the right side. This helps to highlight my larger photo as the main focal image on the page.

I added 1/4" white cardstock strips for my journaling and added little fussy cut hearts to the ends. With a little gold Nuvo and ink spray, this layout really shines!

Spring Vibes + Cut Outs | Laura Alberts

Hello Friends! I'm back with a bright, sunshine-filled layout using the You Are My Sunshine collection. This layout starts with a Bella Besties background of Bell Pepper Graph and Dot, then I layered the lovely little clouds from the Over the Rainbow Cut Outs.

I backed the clouds with the Feeling Sunny and My Only Sunshine patterned papers, then tucked my photos in behind them. I added a strip from the Borders paper at the bottom and some larger chipboard pieces on first.

To embellish around the clouds, I used a lot of fussy cut icons, enamel shapes, and stickers from the Doohickey sticker sheet. This is such a fun, whimsical collection and I think it captures my daughter's imagination perfectly! 

To finish this one off, I drew a cloud at the bottom to hold my journaling and dotted black Nuvo drops and gold ink splatter around the clusters. I even drew in some tiny hearts for just a little more detail on this page.

Valentine's Week & Our Love Song | Sarah

Hello, Bella friends! It's me, Sarah, and I'm excited to be hosting today's blog post. I have a stack of my kids' baby photos that I haven't tackled yet (don't we all?!), so I figure why not use some of the Love Song collection! It's versatile enough to be used for baby photos even.

Today, I'm sharing a layout using more of the fun, new Love Song collection coupled with one of the new Cut-Outs! Have you seen it?! It's definitely my jam. Here's how I felt inspired to use it:

I like that Cut Outs are a quick and easy alternative to fussy cutting or even to using a die cutting machine. Honestly, all you have to do is either add a sheet of cardstock or a coordinating patterned paper behind the Cut Out and viola! It's as simple as that. Here I added one of the patterned papers from the Love Song collection:

 

I love the pop of color the Cut-Out with the patterned paper brings!

I, of course, added some journaling off to the side, and sprinkle embellishments from the Icon packs and Doohickey Sticker sheet to give the white background more color.

I also added another embellishment cluster below my photo to draw attention to it! I love all of the hearts and flowers in the Love Song collection. Like I said, it makes for a versatile collection to use.

                     Let's get started, 

First, you will need an 8.5 by 11 white cardstock with the Bella Blvd - Bella Besties Graph and Dot Pink- I stitched the pink on the background leaving 1/8 of an inch all around the layout. 

Then cut a few of the borders and fuzzy cut some of the images from the border paper. 

Next, I glued the borders on the bottom of the pages staggering four pieces one after another with slimmer borders on the top and stitching with my sewing matching, distressed the edges, and lifted to put the embellishment that was fuzzy cut or from the collection.

 

The title You+ Me came from the chipboard stickers and love that it captures and brings the photo forward since it's also black and white. 

For the photo I printed a 4x6, printing the same image on three sides, and on the fourth box, I created a cluster of embellishments with the ones that were fuzzy cut, icons or epoxy stickers. 

I can't wait to see what you create with Our Love song! I felt like this collection was made for Curtis & I he talks to me through music- that is one of our connections, Xoxo Conny! 

Our Love Song | Borders & Daily Details | Rachel O'Neal

Hi friends! I hope you have been loving all the new layouts showcasing the Our Love Song collection that Bella Blvd released. I know I've personally had so many people tell me how excited they are for this new collection. And I am just as excited as they are to sit down and show you my second layout. This week we are showing the collection with an emphasis on the Borders and/or Daily Details 12" x 12" papers. The Borders paper is filled with several strips of that can but cut up and used a variety of ways. Some have sayings on them and others are filled with great patterns. I chose to showcase as many of them as I could get on the layout. Here it is:

I managed to get seven of the borders on my layout! I started by cutting out the strips and then arranging them in a cross pattern on my white cardstock to the left side of my paper. I also added a black scallop border that I created myself with black cardstock. The giant "I LOVE YOU FOREVER" has to be my favorite one of the bunch and works perfectly as my title.

I backed my photo with white cardstock and then added another layer with the black and white grid paper called Soundtrack. Before adding my photo to the layout, I stamped several black clusters of plus signs around the layout. With such a colorful collection, I like to balance out the bright colors with black which I can achieve through stamping and doodling. Next, I added the photo to the layout with foam tape. The fact that this collection has roller skates makes my heart so happy! 

I added all the pizzaz to the layout with those bright colored zig zag ephemera. The design is perfectly reminiscent of the 80's! You can find them in the Ephemera Icons pack. That's where I also got the set of roller skates and boom box. I added some more tiny details (hearts, lightening bolts, and musical notes) from some of the Bella-pops sets and enamel stickers.

I finished the layout by journaling the details from the photo.
