Grateful for you: Digital Layout from Allie

One of the best parts of being a digi scrapbooker is that you don't have to "hoard" your supplies (although, let's be honest, I still "collect" a ton of them!) -- you can use as many pieces parts as you want, and they never disappear! 

This page is great for using a ton of papers-- but also great for "stash busting" if you have a bunch of paper scraps!  Using a single collection like this collection called Gratitude Documented from Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith, keeps the design cohesive, even with all of the patterns and colors. 

I made this layout to feature one of my favorite photos of my husband and I from this fall-- on a trip to NYC!  He's the best travel partner, and I'm so grateful for that!

Shine On - Digital Scrapbook Mixed Media layout with Tya

Hi there Bella Blvd fans! Welcome to the blog today! This week we are getting messy! Well -  maybe me, not so much - my layout doesn't have real paint or watercolors, or twine or staples...but it sure looks like it does! Believe it or not - you can still have fun with mixed media on your digital layouts too! And bonus! No mess to clean up after your done! And if you accidentally place paint somewhere you don't want it -  simply hit the delete button and start fresh! See isn't Digi scrapbooking fun lol? 

I used the lovely "Make Your  Mark" Digital Collection to create my layout. The digital collections don't include all of the paint splatters, twine, etc. But a simple google search of "digital paint splatters" or  "digital bakers twine" produced plenty of sites that I can download these types of elements that you can use again and again digitally! I had a blast making this page of my daughter - who will be graduating high school this year - so this collection was perfect for giving her some encouraging words for this pivotal and exciting time in her life.

Stash Busting Santa Squad

Happy Santa Squad week! How cute is this new Christmas collection?!? I'm usually firmly in the "no Christmas before Thanksgiving" camp, but for something this cute, I'm willing to break my own rules! 

I have so many ideas for #alltheprojects I want to do with Santa Squad, and I know that I would have tons of scraps left over that I just can't part with... so I decided to make a page that would "use it all" --- and be a fun scrap busting page! This page feels really simple, with the basic background and repeating shapes, but it gets VERY festive. This would be perfect to do if you had some smaller scraps and a circle punch! (This particular page is digital, but would be SO easy to do physically!)

With 52 days & counting until Christmas...

HA! shocked you right?! haha! I know I am.

I mean to go to the super market only to find fridges filled with turkeys & twinkle lights swinging from the roof, it's safe to say it's time to get in the Christmas spirit with a fun, festive page.

To create this layout, I used the super cute digital version of the

Merry Christmas collection :)

The fresh icons & colors in this collection, really makes me long to haul out my fake evergreen & ornaments like my little guy did here in these photos. 

 

So I did the next best thing, filled my page with faux ornaments, by filling die-cut circle frames with sentiments from the Light It Up paper sheet. 

 

Foil sentiment tabs, tags & a date tab stapled together, create a lovely anchor cluster on the left side of the page. 

 

Squares on the top right of the grid add linear control needed for a busy design. The multiple layers & machine stitching are super for subtle dimension & interest. 

 

A cluster of trees not only adds to the story telling but also anchors the title perfectly within the grid. 

 

 

Text in bite sized chunks help open the design & helps create movement around the page & strategically placed foil accents, add balance. The result is a festive, colorful page filled with photos & text, simple to put together & a real eye catcher in our Christmas album.

Sweet and Spooky Digital Scrapbooking Layout

Hi there Bella Fans! Happy Halloween! It's Tya Smith, and I am so thrilled to be here with you on the blog today sharing my latest digital scrapbook layout. I LOVE the "Sweet and Spooky" line SOOO much! I have had this recent obsession with the color purple lately and was so happy this line had some lovely purple papers and icons! This was a fun line to create this layout of my oldest daughter a few years back having fun on Halloween Night with her friend :)

 

 One of my favorite design techniques is to make clusters of the same shapes. I did this here on this layout with the hearts to the left of the photos. In digital scrapbooking, it is so easy so resize same-sized icons and make them different sized to create interest and height. I did this by changing the drop shadows ever so slightly on each shape to make them appear more higher on the page, kind of like you would with foam tape or dots in traditional scrapbooking. Give it a try on your next page - it's fun to create different looks!

Did you know that you can purchase Bella Blvd. digital products? I do not do digital projects but I love that I can print the papers and embellishments from home and cut them out. If you have an electronic cutting machine you can print and cut over and over again! If you do not have a cutting machine the images can easily be fussy cut like I did with my layout today! 

I found the spider web image in the digital embellishment pack and uploaded it into my Silhouette Cameo. I traced it in the software and cut it out as a cut file! 

I had this Spooky cut file I had cut a few weeks ago on my desk and decided to use this on my layout as well. I backed it with papers from the 6x8 Spooktauclar collection and added my photo to one of the O's.

I printed out some of the cute digital embellishments with my Canon printer on some white cardstock and fussy cut them to embellish my layout. 

Here is a look at my completed layout! I love that I was able to create a fun Halloween layout mixing digital Bella Blvd products with products I had in my stash! I hope you give the digital products in the shop a try I know you will just love them!

Digital Layout || Mom Life

Good morning everyone! Kat here today to share my digital layout with you. I am definitely not a digital scrapper. In fact, this was my first digital layout EVER. I was sort of dreading making one, but I ended up really loving the process and it came together so, so quickly.

I decided to work with the Mom Life digital collection. I don't have any fancy software, so I actually made my entire layout in Silhouette. What I ended up really loving about digital scrapping was that I could use the embellishments that I really liked over and over again and change their sizes, etc. to fit my needs.

I kept my layout simple and in my normal style. Here's what I came up with:

Haunted Family Fun: A fun Halloween digital layout!

Hi friends! Allie here from Allie Scraps with another fun digital layout! This time, just in time for Halloween! 

I've said it before, but I just love how many collections Bella Blvd has digitally now! I love making tons of layouts and never having to worry about running out of my paper supplies. For this layout, I added the fun hearts all over the place-- I love them! And I didn't have to worry about "hoarding" them. (I'll be honest, I hoard my paper supplies!) 

Since my photo of my son in his costume was SUPER cute, I wanted to use it, but the colors clashed with the green and orange in the papers-- so I could still use it, but not confuse everyone's eyes with all of the colors, I simply made it black and white. Another fun perk of digital!

 Hi, Bella Blvd fans! It's Tya here sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout using the simply stunning Gratitude Documented collection. 

This collection was so fun to work with and totally matched my photos which always makes me happy, lol! I am loving anything with navy blue lately! With the leaves and acorns and many phrases like "Family," "Joy" and "Blessed" (like I used above), this is a great batch of papers and icons to celebrate my favorite season of the year. Autumn Love: A Digital Layout!

Hi friends! Allie here, back for another fun digital layout! 

This week, I wanted to do a page to celebrate the first day of fall (and also my birthday!) -- but as much as I love all the bright yellows and oranges of autumn, I also wanted to use some pretty pinks and teals-- enter in the Gratitude Documented digital kit! 

While yes, this is a kit usually aimed around Thanksgiving, bible journaling, and documenting gratitude, it also has some really fun fall elements that can be used on their own for a fall inspired page!

I mean, look at those acorns-- have you seen a cuter paper, ever? Probably not ;)
