Customize Cut Outs to Create A Monochromatic Layout / Let's Scrapbook / Suzanna Lee

This week the Bella Blvd design team is focusing on creating monochromatic projects focusing on their favorite color and keeping the emphasis on the Let's Scrapbook collection and combining some Bella Besties. I created a graduation layout and customized the Congratulations Cut Out and used all the teal I could round up. Teal is one of my daughters' high school colors and it was only fitting that that be the monochrome of a graduation layout.

Let's Scrapbook is a collection that is all about color, all the colors. The patterned papers are either tone on tone color or the gamut of the rainbow. I used the obvious teal B side and combined it with the Gulf Bella Besties from the two 6x6 Paper Pads to fill the openings of the Cut Outs. Each Cut Outs comes with directions and a template. As per the template, I put the template letter on top of the patterned paper I wanted and loosely cut out the letter.
Next I used liquid adhesive with a fine tip applicator on the backside of the Cut Outs and then adhered the letter that I just cut out. With the letter that are duplicate, I saved myself time by cutting both as the same time. TIPS: Be sure to use details scissors for clean cuts, move the paper as you close your scissors and temporary adhesive helps from sliding as you're cutting.

As I used the white Cut Outs on a white background, I needed black for some contrast to all the white. A few of the ephemera pieces from the Let's Scrapbook collection along with Gulf Besties Collection Puffy Stickers were the perfect compliments for sprinkles of visual interest through out the layout.

Letter stickers from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey sticker sheet mixed well with Gulf Letter Scramble stickers to indicate the high school my daughter graduated from and her class. Again, I kept the color palette monochrome with the black for accent. I had a random scallop border left over from a previous layout that I up along the top in order to fill the space.

White space is something that I strive to include with my creations, it produces a visually appealing design and gives the viewer some calm, a space to breathe in all the elements. This is quite a busy layout, but there is white space, lots of little bits of white space. The spaces between the letters. I have intentionally left many of them without ephemera in order to provide bits and pieces of calm among the chaos of letters.

Hello dear Bella friends, Happy New Year to all!!! I always find a new year so exciting and filled with possibilities, a new blank page to start fresh. Today I want to share a New Years Eve layout created with the “Cap and Gown” graduation collection…this collection has some awesome party and celebration elements to create a fun New Years layout.

I started this layout with the “Cue the Confetti” patterned paper for my first background layer. Then I cut the black and white  star paper at 11” square. I used a silver metallic cardstock between my two background papers to add a shiny feel that New Year celebrations always have. This silver layer is cut at 11 1/4” square.

I then printed my photo at 4x6” and backed my photo with some more patterned paper and some silver cardstock as well. Creating three layers behind my photos, that create a frame and makes my fun photo pop!

I then decided to use the Cut Out “PARTY” word as my title and backed it up with a black and white polka dot patterned paper.

I added the little silver banner found in the ephemera icon pack and placed it under my title. I love how the silver tassels look under the Party word, it adds to a festive look! I also added the chipboard “Day” word to complete my  “Party Day” title. Love that this day word is silver and shiny!!

I then added  the 2021 big die cut numbers under my title to represent the New Year and added chipboard heart to the middle of my letter R. I love what those little details do to a layout.

I then proceeded to create two clusters, one at the bottom left and one on the top right of my photo. On the bottom left I added flowers tucked behind my title and on the upper right I added some tags with twine and little confetti ephemera as well as some letter scramble numbers for my countdown!

To finish my layout I sprinkled some sequins and metallic stars on three different places of my layout, I wanted to create the feeling of “confetti” all around my page.

I loved the end result of this layout and you would never have guessed it was created with a graduation collection right? I hope you like it and I hope you feel inspired to document your New Year memories or resolutions!

Merry Little Christmas 3 Product Challenge with Maree Crozier

Hi Bella friends,

This week the Bella Creative team had a super fun challenge, to create with 3 new Bella products from the Merry Little Christmas Collection. The layout needed to included, Cut Outs, Puffy Stickers and Borders Paper. Here is what I came up with!

I love the Bella Borders paper, it makes it so easy to get lots of color and variety on the page all from one sheet of paper! I started by framing the page at the top and bottom with some border strips that I distressed all the edges of.

Then using puffy stickers I added some embellishments. Look at that cute little Santa!
I used three present stickers on the bottom of the layout and just adore the colors in this collection. The puffy stickers give such a gorgeous texture and shine to the page.

Next I used the Cut Outs. I picked the word Joy and the holly leaves. I filled them in with papers from the collection kit. The pink is so lovely!

Once I matted my photos and adhered them, I added the JOY title and added the word Christmas from the Puffy stickers on top. I think it adds a little interest when you layer products up.

My final touch to this layout is this gorgeous Bella Pop. It is just so adorable. The Bella Pop is called "Oh What Fun" and comes with two little red birds which I also positioned on the layout!

I loved making this layout. The Cut Outs make it so easy to create a fun layout easily. What 3 products do you reach for the most? Wishing you all a happy holiday season, I can't believe how fast Christmas comes around!

Hey there, it's Yvette! I'm so happy to be here today to share my latest layout with you. I had a blast creating it using the new 'Merry Little Christmas' collection from Bella Blvd. As part of the design team assignment, we were asked to incorporate three products from the collection: Cut-Outs, Puffy Stickers, and Border Paper. Playing around with these products was so much fun, and I can't wait to show you how it turned out!

 

 

I fell in love with every paper design in this collection, so I challenged myself to use almost every single one to back each letter in the I Heart Christmas cut-outs. After completing the task, I adhered the cut-outs to the center of the page.

 

 

I decided to use the puffy stickers instead of paper to fill the inside of the heart. I carefully placed them, ensuring they filled in as much space as possible. The stickers added a fun and playful touch to the project, and I was pleased with how it turned out.

 

 

Next, I cut two strips from the Border Paper and a few from the Merry Everything paper. Then, I distressed the edges of the strips. After that, I layered the strips over each other. I placed one on the top of the page and the other at the bottom.

 

 

Once I had the paper strips in place, it was time to add my photo and start getting creative with all the beautiful embellishments to capture those special holiday moments.

Merry Little Christmas l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! It's all about the festive season and I love to scrap about the little traditions we have. For this layout I was focusing on using the Cut Outs, Borders paper and Puffy Stickers from the fabulous new Merry Little Christmas collection. 

For my background I decided to go with the Filled with Joy teal check patterned paper as I love the colour and thought it worked really well with the Borders paper. I wanted to do something different with the Borders paper so cut off all the border strips, distressed the edges then wove them together to create a background to sit my photo on. Once I had woven the strips together I trimmed off the ends until I was happy with the irregular look. Before sticking it down I added lots of gold splatters to the Filled with Joy paper, as you can't have a Christmas layout without sparkle!  

I mounted my photo using the pink spotted side of From the Heart paper, then distressed the edges for added texture before sticking down. 

For my title I wanted to use the word 'JOY' from the Celebrate Cut-Outs, firstly I painted it gold then once it was dry I backed it using the soft teal side of the Borders paper. I stuck that down using foam pads to add extra dimension. To finish off the title I used 'CHRISTMAS' from the Puffy Stickers and 'at' using the new Letter Scramble alpha stickers in Guacamole. 

Once the title was in place I could add some embellishments, though I didn't want to add too many as I didn't want to cover up too much of the pretty woven background! So I went for some trees from the coordinating Ephemera Icons and then tucked in some of the Puffy Stickers (trees, presents, bird and dots). I also couldn't resist tucking the cute Santa into the letter 'O'! Then I finished off with some journaling at the bottom of the layout.

Hi, everyone! It's me Sarah (@redoaklines) hosting today's blog post, and I'm excited to be back on the Bella Blvd blog to share one of my latest layouts using the Merry Little Christmas collection with a focus on three products. I love the 3 product challenge; we were asked to include Cut Outs, puffy stickers, and the borders patterned paper, all from the Merry Little Christmas collection.

Here's what I created:

I'm now just getting around to scrapbooking holiday photos from last year, ha! Anyway, I knew that the Merry Little Christmas collection was going to be perfect for these photos.

I started off by backing the Cut Outs with patterned papers. Using some of the pretty pattern papers, I could add color to the holly berries and leaves. I also added paper strips from the Borders patterned paper behind my photos. Once the strips and photos were in place, I layered the holly Cut Outs to the bottom of my photos below my photos to help draw focus to my title.

I scattered the Merry Little Christmas puffy stickers onto the background of my page. I sprinkled them across with the stamping I added to my white cardstock. 

Did you notice how I used the border strips again to "hang" my ornaments?! I love that the Borders patterned paper is a versatile staple in papercrafting!

So, what do you think of the Merry Little Christmas collection?! I'm so into the coordinating Borders patterned papers with the puffy stickers. I love how festive all of the pieces look together!

One Fall Day Cut-Outs with Maree

Hi Bella friends,

Today I am here to share a layout using the One Fall Day collection. I chose to feature the fabulous Cut-Outs on my layout. The are such a great product & so easy to use! Did you know all the Cut-Outs actually include a cutting template with step by step directions?!

I started off by backing all the Cut-Out leaves - which I cut apart - from the original circle wreath. There were a few blue pops in my picture so I decided to fill every leaf with the blue paper called "Falling for You" and all the other sides of the leaves with alternating patterned paper from the collection. Blue or teal are not the most traditional fall colors but I think that is why I love this layout and the versatility of this collection.

Once all the Cut-Outs were backed I laid them out on the page and then machine stitched them down with gold thread. I tie in the gold thread with some gold splatters at the end of the project.

Then I used the Happy Fall title from the Cut-Outs pack and backed it also with the same blue paper. Once I adhered it to my layout I outlined the happy with a black pen to make it really stand out on the page.

I framed both the page and my picture with the gorgeous green paper called "Hello Fall". I also stitched around the outline of the layout with the same gold thread.

 
Finally, I created a couple of clusters on the page. This one featuring some of the teal bits from the Ciao Chip and Words Ephemera pack along with a few cute leaves.

This cluster features a gorgeous sunflower and pumpkin latte (or for the purpose of my layout - hot chocolate!). I finished each cluster with some of the blue flowers from the epoxy stickers. I just love the little pop of dimension they add to the page & hoe they perfectly match the teal paper with the tiny blue flowers!

One Fall Day & Letter Scramble with Heather Cerulo

Hi there, and happy fall! Today I'm sharing a layout using the gorgeous new "One Fall Day" collection, along with the awesome new "Letter Scramble" alpha stickers. These two were the perfect combo!

I used the Cut-Outs from this collection, called "Leaf Wreath". The leaves have a fun two-tone design, perfect for using lots of patterned papers to back them. The Cut-Out packaging includes a helpful cutting template, making it easy to cut & back the pieces. My favorite method is to add liquid glue to the back of each piece, then a small piece of patterned paper, and trim around the edges. After adhering the wreath to the background paper, I stitched through the center of the leaves in a circular shape and then bent up the leaves a bit, giving some dimension.

Next, I added a square photo to the center of the wreath, and then started the fun part...embellishing! I decided I wanted a long title, and started at the top of the page with alpha stickers from the new "Letter Scramble" set! I used three of the Bella Besties colors: Orange, peep, and guacamole. Both of these fonts, and more come on one sticker sheet!

I finished my title underneath the photo with a combo of "Letter Scramble" alpha stickers and a die cut word from the Ephemera Words pack.

Since my photo is from a pumpkin patch, I knew I wanted to include lots of pumpkins! I used die cuts from the Ephemera Icons pack, as well as these cute dimensional pumpkins from the Pumpkin Patch Bella Pops.

Some finishing touches include fun epoxy hearts and leaves tucked around. I hope you're inspired to create with this gorgeous new fall collection!

One Fall Day & Letter Scramble with Kirei Baldwin

Hi Everyone! Are you wanting to scrapbook those Fall/Autumn photos? Bella Blvd's newest collection One Fall Day is just perfect! This is my first layout using the new collection and I LOVE it!

I was drawn to the new Cut-Outs called Leaf Wreath as I had some photos from an autumn walk last year to scrap. These are ready-made-cut-files that come with templates for backing the cut - so it's super easy to use! Leaf Wreath comes with a full leafy wreath, four individual leaves and the title 'happy Fall'. I opted to use the wreath, and decided to paint it with gold watercolor and then cut apart all of the individual leaves as I had an idea of creating a sort of leafy cascade down my layout.

I used the large leaf template to cut out backings. For the wreath leaves I used the Pick of the Patch (green), Grateful (red) and Daily Details (orange) patterned papers. Because I wanted to keep some dimension with my leaves, I stitched the gold cut file leaf to the paper leaf using gold thread and then left the cut ends on for added texture. I love how they look! 

I opted for a patterned paper background as I wanted to keep a warm, autumnal feel to the layout so I selected the Borders paper and used the brown text side as my base. I then positioned all of the leaves. When happy with the placement I stuck them all down. In the photo below you can see the dimension I got from the layered, stitched leaves.

Next I mounted my two photos using the Pick of the Patch (green) patterned paper, distressed the edges, again I love a bit of texture! These were stuck down using foam squares to the right of the layout. 

I added a title under my photo using 'Beautiful' from the One Fall Day Ephemera Words and stuck that down using foam squares. But...I wasn't quite finished as I wanted to use another fab new Bella Blvd product called Letter Scramble! These are full 12" x 12" sheets of alpha stickers with four different fonts! And they come in all sixteen of Bella Blvd's signature colors! I love to use a mix of fonts on layouts - these are so perfect for that! I used the Guacamole and Orange colors to finish my title. 

To embellish I added in more leaves from the One Fall Day Ephemera Icons, Puffy Stickers and Epoxy Stickers. Then, I finished by adding my journaling under the title with some extra splatters of gold watercolor.

One Fall Day Debut Week!

Hi Bella friends, it's Kim and I'm super excited to be sharing my first layout with the fabulous One Fall Day collection. Fall is my favorite season and this collection is absolutely glorious and I love every thing about it. 

I had these fun photos of my granddaughter at a pumpkin patch and knew this collection would work for them. The orange pumpkins in the pictures were a perfect match for the orange dot side of the Daily Details paper. I usually start with a solid white cardstock, but I went with the orange paper as my background.

I picked the Happy Fall Cut-Out as my title and backed it the Falling For You paper. The Cut- Out was a bright white and I pulled some ink from my stash and ink blended it in a light neutral to coordinate better with my page. I backed all my photos with the Hello Fall paper.

The embellishments in this collection are so fun and it was hard not to add them all. I added the green frame and green border sticker around my outer photos. I added plenty of pumpkins and a tree up top with two of the adorable trucks at the bottom of my page. 

I used a lot of the word stickers around my photos. I adore the puffy stickers and finished my page with some of them, the epoxy stickers and Bella-Pops.

Hey friends! Erica here on the blog today sharing a 12x12 layout using the Bella Blvd Lake Life collection! 

This collection includes a new Bella Blvd Cut Out called At the Lake! This set includes the phrase at the Lake and the word swim with water drops around it, a wave, and a tree. This set would also work with some of Bella's past summer collections. Bella Blvd cut outs are ready to use and include step-by-step instructions and are perfect for all types of papercrafts! 

I backed the cut out with the following papers from the Lake Life collection, Lakin' it Easy, Boarders, Nature Lover and Boat Waves. Once the cut out was backed I added foam adhesive all over the back and adhered to a piece of white textured cardstock that I trimmed down to 11x11. Next I matted the white cardstock onto the Boarders paper that was trimmed down to 11.25x11.25 and then framed it all with the Lakin' it Easy paper.

My 2.75x2.75 photos are printed out in black and white with a small blue mat around them. I placed the photos in the top left of the cut out and staggered them just a little bit. 

I created a few embellishment clusters around the cut out and above my  photos. I really wanted to add some of the white flower embellishments from the Ciao Chip and one from the Flower Fields Bella Pop.

To finish off the layout I added a couple banner die cuts in the top right corner of the layout and sprinkled the layout with some of the Bella Blvd Lake Life Explore Epoxy Stickers. Here is a look at the completed layout!
