So Fun | Bella Blvd My Life 365 | Erica Thompson

Hi, friends! Erica here, and I’m back with another layout using the Bella Blvd My Life 365 collection. This time, I focused on the January products from the collection to create a clean and simple 12x12 scrapbook layout. Let me walk you through how I brought this layout together!

I started by trimming down a piece of white cardstock and matting it onto a sheet of Bella Besties pattern paper. Next, I layered the entire piece on a 12x12 pattern paper from the My Life 365 collection to create a solid, polished base with a pop of winter color. I used one of the Bella Blvd. Cut Outs as the centerpiece for my layout. To make it stand out, I backed the cut out with coordinating papers from the Bella Besties 6x6 paper pads. The smaller patterns in the paper pad are perfect for this technique! I popped up the cut out using foam adhesive to give the layout a bit of dimension.

For this layout, I included two photos of Liam and me, matted with coordinating pattern papers from the My Life 365 collection. I placed the photos just above the cut out, making them the focal point of the layout. To frame the photos, I added die cuts from the Life 365 collection to the left and right sides. I also tucked in tags at the top of the photos for extra texture and dimension. To finish the tags, I tied a bit of twine through them for a subtle detail that adds a little bit of texture. 

At the bottom of the cut out, I created a small cluster using die-cut stickers, a piece of a border sticker, and some Bella Blvd. epoxy stickers for shine and texture. These little details help bring the layout to life and tie all the elements together.

To finish it up, I added some journaling  at the bottom of the layout. I absolutely love how this layout turned out! The Bella Blvd. My Life 365 collection is perfect for creating layouts that document memories all year long!

January Focus | My Life 365 by Inessa Persekian

Hey friends, welcome back to the blog! Today, I’m sharing a layout using the brand-new My Life 365 collection. My assignment was to work with the January papers, and I chose to create a whimsical, snowy-themed layout featuring three 2x3 photos. I love this photo size when working with multiple images on a 12x12 layout. The photos are of my son and his friend ice-skating outdoors and it’s definitely giving all the winter vibes!

 

I started with the "So Fun" cut file from the Makes Me Happy cutouts pack. This versatile pack includes multiple designs, but "So Fun" felt perfect for my ice-skating theme.

For the background, I used a 12x12 sheet of Snow Much Fun paper. To mat my photos, I used the b-side of the Summer Picnics paper, which is technically from the summer months. However, the reverse side has a subtle wave design that works beautifully here—you’d never guess it’s a summer paper! I also incorporated the colorful snowflakes from the B-side of another Snow Much Fun sheet.

To complete the background, I layered an 11x11" piece of textured white cardstock over the patterned paper and added gold stitching around the edges for a polished look. I lightly distressed the edges of the white cardstock and added gold splatters for a touch of sparkle, framing the photos and title.

For the title, I used the "Winter" phrase from the Ephemera Words pack, paired with snowflake icons, a snow globe, and an adorable penguin embellishment. I popped up the "so Fun" cut file and one of the snowflakes with foam tape for added dimension. To finish it off, I added a "Smile" tab from the Ephemera Words pack, puffy snowflake stickers, and epoxy accents in various shades of blue.

I love how this layout turned out! It perfectly captures the joy of a snowy day, and I hope it inspires you to document your own winter memories.

Christmas Memories | Merry Mingle Collection | 12x12 Scrapbook Layout | Brianna

Hey friends!  Brianna here today and I'm so happy to share another layout using the Merry Mingle collection. This week, the Creative Team is sharing projects using 2 or more photos and I have this cute collection of photos of my daughter playing with her Advent calendar. Here's my page: 

To start, I took the Christmas Memories Cut Out from the Happiest Season of All Cut Out pack and backed it using several patterned papers from the collection. I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle so I added some Stickles in silver right onto the 'memories' part of the cut out piece.  I popped it up on foam tape and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock that I had trimmed down to a 5x12 size. 

Next, I went through the patterned papers in the collection to select my base. I ended up choosing the "It's A Party" paper.  I wanted to change things up so I turned my Cut Out that I had adhered to white cardstock on its side and adhered it to the base. I love how it looks!

I then took my 4 photos and arranged them down the page, up against the Cut Out. I popped them up on foam tape and secured them down. I added some die cuts from the Ephemera Icons pack right on top on a few of them. 

I thought the left portion of my page needed some embellishments so I built a simple little scene using more of the Ephemera Icons. I love that Santa piece, he's so cute in that car!

Here's one last look at this page. I added a few of the Epoxy Stickers to my photo clusters to finish it off.

Christmas Cookie Season! | Merry Mingle Collection | Tara Chaussee

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio and I have a super fun and cute layout featuring the new Merry mingle collection and one of the fabulous, easy to use Christmas cut outs!If you are looking for a quick way to get a big, beautiful title on your layout, these cut outs are for you!

I used the 'Happiest Season Of All' cutout and to add a bit more dimension to it, I traced a slightly larger outline onto the red dotted 'Santa Season' paper and then cut that out removing all of the center sections. I think this helps the white letters pop against whatever background is used. Then I backed all of the letters, except for three, with the beautiful patterns of the Merry Mingle collection! In the remaining letters, I added photos of my grandbabies making- and eating- Christmas cookies! The letters in this cut out are large and open enough to allow for small photos which really add to the charm of this layout!

I used a 10 and 5/8 " square of the black dotted 'String The Lights' paper as my background mounted that on a slightly larger piece of white cardstock and a square of the green 'Let's Decorate' patterned paper. Because there was already so much color and pattern in this layout, I kept the embellishments fairly simple and added a cluster to the top left and the bottom right. Some of the ephemera pieces are behind the title and others are in front of or popped up with foam tape!

The finishing touches were some shiny epoxy hearts, holly leaf stickers and tiny dots! To highlight the red in the layout, I also added a few groups of cheery red stitches! I added in the smaller title and date on a thin strip of the blue 'Making Spirits Bright' patterned paper to the bottom of the page.

You & Me | One Fall Day Collection | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna here and I'm so happy to share a new layout using the One Fall Day collection.  I'm so very blessed and grateful for my sweet girl and for all of the special moments (both big and small) we share together. Here's my page: 

To start, I trimmed the B side of the 12x12 Borders paper to a 9x12 and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock. I then took the You & Me Cut Outs pack and selected the "You And Me" piece and backed it using patterned papers from the collection.  Next, I adhered it towards the bottom right side of my layout.

I tucked in some leaves that I pulled from both the Ephemera Icons and Words packs.  I love this color palette! It's very on point with Fall but the pops of the soft pink and blues makes me so happy.

I arranged my photo at the top left of my layout and added a few embellishments around it. This was a different design for me and I'm so glad that I tried it. It's fun to mix up your style every now and then.

I just had to add this adorable fox from the Sweather Weather Bella Pop. It's so cute and it fits perfectly right above the Cut Out.

I embellished around the rest of my page using more pieces from the Ephemera Icons and Words packs and then added a cute squirrel from the Puffy Stickers.

Multi Photo Fall Layout with Layering and Texture Using the One Fall Day Collection

Good morning Bella Blvd fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a multi photo Fall layout that incorporates coordinating Cut-Outs with the One Fall Day layout.

Here's a look at the finished layout;

Look at all that Fall (or Autumn) goodness! I had to stop myself from adding more as it's already a pretty full layout, but I could have seriously kept on going. The One Fall Day has a plethora of fabulous bits and pieces for all your projects. From pumpkins to leaves to acorns to trees to trucks.

Having chosen the Fall leaves and Happy Fall Cut-Outs as the central elements of my four photo layout, I opted to use a patterned paper background. My personal preference is for "naked" Cut-Outs or to use them to frame things, not to actually back them. The colored patterned paper really let the white pop and be central to the page. I did, however, back the leaves with coordinating colored B side patterned papers so that they melded into the page but the crispness of the white draws your eye to the photos.

Frames and word cards from the Daily Details patterned paper serve as great frames for these smaller photos, great for layers and texture. Add in some chipboard Chip Ciao pieces, the lovely layers of Bella Pops and some epoxy glossy goodness and you have a cornucopia of Tree-mendous options for texture, dimension and layering!

The black Luna Alphabet Puffy Stickers add that contrast of black that off sets the black found in a few of the photos that needed balancing. While the Happy Fall Cut-Out serves as the main title, the Cary Market Luna Alphabet stickers are a subtitle identifying the location. Note the two small black hearts that also a part of the Puffy sticker options that create a subtle black visual triangle on the page.

Birthday Card fun with Bella Blvd: Birthday Bash Collection

 

Welcome Bella friends... Today it is party time, well that is on my projects today. The theme is Birthday's and Bella Blvd Birthday Bash collection is perfect for celebrating someone special. You can send them a card or create a Birthday Bash scrapbook page, capturing the memory of that special birthday. 

 

 

PARTY on a card... literary. 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut an A2 panel on the Birthday Bash Streamers backer paper and adhere it to your card base using liquid glue.

 

 

From the HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY cut-outs use the PARTY cut-out and cut off the TY. Use the guides to cut out the letters using the Birthday Bash Hip Hip Hooray backer paper, Burst backer paper and Happy Birthday Song backer paper. Adhere them to the back of the PAR cut-out using liquid glue. 

 

Add some foam tape to the back of the PAR and adhere it to the left center side of the card. We are leaving room to finish our sentiment. 

 

 

From the Birthday Bach Ephemera Words pick out the PARTY sentiment and cut off the TY and add some foam tape to the back and adhere to the right side of your PAR to complete your sentiment. 

 

Pick out the Let's Celebrate from the Birthday Bash Ephemera Words and adhere it to your card on the right side of the our Party sentiment. 

 

To finish we need a few more party fun, so I picked a couple more Birthday favors from the Ephemera Icons and adhere them to my card along with a few of those fun Party Time Puffy Stickers. 

 

 

I almost forgot about that strip at the bottom. I cut a 1/2 inch strip of the Birthday Bash Streamers and adhered it to the bottom of my card. Lots of color.... don't you just love it? 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut a panel measuring 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 of the Birthday Bash Amazing You paper and adhere to the top of your card base using liquid glue

 

Cut a strip measuring 2 x 4 1/4 of the Birthday Bash Daily Details and adhere to the bottom of your card base using liquid glue.

 

 

Cut a strip of the Birthday Bash Borders measuring 1/2 x 4 1/4 and adhere where the two patterns meet on your card base.

 

Die cut or machine cut a scalloped oval and adhere it to your card using foam tape. 

 

Die cut or machine cut a solid oval slightly smaller than the scalloped oval and adhere to the center of the scalloped oval using foam tape. You can pick the size of your oval. I made mine just big enough for the Pretty Pastry Bella-Pop, which I added to the lower part of my oval. 

 

 

Finishing with this fun Happy Birthday sentiment from the Birthday Bash Ephemera Words. I had to cut the BIRTHDAY away from one of the other Ephemera Words. I added the sentiments to the card using foam tape. Lots of dimension on this card.

Monochromatic Teal 12x12 Page with Erika

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a recent scrapbook page I made, featuring my kids playing at the park with our neighbor kids. The challenge was to create a monochromatic page using my favorite color, teal. 

Teal is such a versatile and calming color, perfect for capturing playful moments. I chose different textured teal papers and added some blue-toned paper accents from the Let's Scrapbook collection by Bella Blvd to add variety. 

I wanted to make the page fun and dynamic, so I included branding strips for the middle and used a cut file that says "captured" as a focal point. Adding 3x4 cards with the words "fun" and "friends" brought the theme to life. When I saw the "&" chipboard piece, I knew it would perfectly complete my title.

For the design, I love symmetry, so I arranged my photos and journaling elements in a balanced way. Customizing a journaling card by replacing "scrap" with "play" added a personal touch that tied everything together.

This challenge was so much fun, and I loved working with my favorite color in a new way. I hope this project inspires you to try something monochromatic in your own scrapbooking. Customize Cut Outs to Create A Monochromatic Layout / Let's Scrapbook / Suzanna Lee

This week the Bella Blvd design team is focusing on creating monochromatic projects focusing on their favorite color and keeping the emphasis on the Let's Scrapbook collection and combining some Bella Besties. I created a graduation layout and customized the Congratulations Cut Out and used all the teal I could round up. Teal is one of my daughters' high school colors and it was only fitting that that be the monochrome of a graduation layout.

Let's Scrapbook is a collection that is all about color, all the colors. The patterned papers are either tone on tone color or the gamut of the rainbow. I used the obvious teal B side and combined it with the Gulf Bella Besties from the two 6x6 Paper Pads to fill the openings of the Cut Outs. Each Cut Outs comes with directions and a template. As per the template, I put the template letter on top of the patterned paper I wanted and loosely cut out the letter.
Next I used liquid adhesive with a fine tip applicator on the backside of the Cut Outs and then adhered the letter that I just cut out. With the letter that are duplicate, I saved myself time by cutting both as the same time. TIPS: Be sure to use details scissors for clean cuts, move the paper as you close your scissors and temporary adhesive helps from sliding as you're cutting.

As I used the white Cut Outs on a white background, I needed black for some contrast to all the white. A few of the ephemera pieces from the Let's Scrapbook collection along with Gulf Besties Collection Puffy Stickers were the perfect compliments for sprinkles of visual interest through out the layout.

Letter stickers from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey sticker sheet mixed well with Gulf Letter Scramble stickers to indicate the high school my daughter graduated from and her class. Again, I kept the color palette monochrome with the black for accent. I had a random scallop border left over from a previous layout that I up along the top in order to fill the space.

White space is something that I strive to include with my creations, it produces a visually appealing design and gives the viewer some calm, a space to breathe in all the elements. This is quite a busy layout, but there is white space, lots of little bits of white space. The spaces between the letters. I have intentionally left many of them without ephemera in order to provide bits and pieces of calm among the chaos of letters.

Congratulations Cut Outs

Use the Bella Blvd Cut-Outs for a large title l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! I am loving the fabulous Cut-Outs that coordinate with the Let's Scrapbook collection! I chose the 'Creative Friends' title to feature on my layout as it was perfect with my photo from a recent trip over to Luxembourg with some of my scrappy friends to take part in a weekend workshop with the lovely Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane. I love that scrapbooking has introduced me to so many wonderful people, and made some lifelong friends! 

I wanted to create a large feature so pulled out the coordinating Cut-Outs to use as a title, picking 'Creative Friends'. I decided to back the 'Creative' in rainbow colours, so I used a mix of papers from the Let's Scrapbook collection and some from the Bella Besties papers so that I covered all the colours! Then I backed 'Friends' in black as I liked how that popped from the layout and also emphasised the word. I raised them both using foam pads as I like the dimension you get. 

Then I added vertical stripes in the same rainbow colours to the top half of the layout, and then continued them on the bottom edge. This also allowed me to ground my bottom embellishment cluster rather than just have it 'floating'! 

To add a little more texture to a layout I often add some hand-stitching so decided to do that here and added cross-stitches to the top and bottom stripes. I also stitched through the centre of some buttons from the Ephemera Icons, and some flower buttons that I fussy cut from one of the patterned papers. 

I decided to change my photo to black and white as that just worked better with the all the rainbow colours I was using and would have just felt a little busy otherwise. I also mounted it using the same black paper as I had for 'Friends'. I then stuck down the 'Creative Friends' title and tucked in my photo just under the top edge. 

Next was adding the embellishments, so I pulled out lots of the fun Ephemera Icons pieces, along with the Puffy Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Doohickey Stickers and created clusters to the bottom of the layout and around the photo. I added the stitched buttons to the 'Friends' keeping them in rainbow order to echo the coloured stripes.

 

Then I added a few of the phrases from the Ephemera Words and Doohickey Stickers below the title, along with my journaling and I was done! Love how it turned out, makes me happy!
