New Years Eve Memories with Maree

Hi Bella Friends,

I excited to be here to share this project today. I have used the Cap and Gown Collection, Bella Besties and Letter Scrambles for a layout about New Years Eve.

For this layout I used a fabulous cut file from the Bella Bvld shop, in the Silhouette Design Store. Which you can find here:

I cut the file in a black dotted paper from Cap and Gown called Just Graduated. I backed the file with a rainbow of Bella Besties papers. What is so fabulous is that the Bella Besties papers match perfectly with the new Letter Scrambles.

Once I positioned the cut file on the page I added 3 panels of patterned paper from Cap and Gown. Next I added the sub title New Year Eve 2018 using a variety of colors of Letter scrambles. I mirrored the colors in the cut file to keep the rainbow pattern.

I added in my pics above the title and set to work embellishing. The first thing I added was the hanging tassels from the Cap and Gown Ephemera icons pack. Next I picked out some of the flowers from the pack and made 3 cluster groups.

I used a fun Bella Pop from Cap and Gown called "Amazing". The shine and dimension are so fabulous!

I added the word smile from the Doohickey Stickers and some tiny epoxy dots and flowers to finish the page. I really like how the colors pop against the black and white products from Cap and Gown. The final addition was the scalloped border from the Ciao Chip.

EiEiO Collection | Focus on Clear Cuts | Gloria Parra

Hello crafty friends! Gloria Parra here to share a 12 x12 layout using the oh so fun EiEiO collection! If you are looking for the perfect farm collection, look no further…this is it!!!

I started this layout with the “Howdy” plaid multi color patterned paper as my base. As a second layer I added the grid red and white patterned paper that I cut at 11,5 x11,5 inches. Finally, I used a 10,75 x 10,75-inch white textured cardstock that will be the base of my layout. 

For this layout the main focus was to use the gorgeous cloud clear cut transparency to create my sky. This transparency reminded me of the beautiful sunny day we had at the farm. I cut the acetate at 5,5 x 10,75 inches and adhered it at the top of my white cardstock with some glue dots placed behind a couple of clouds, that way the adhesive can’t be seen.

I then proceeded to use “The Good Life” cut out for my title. I backed the cut out with different patterned papers and added 3 different chipboard animal stickers inside the 2 “O” letters and the “D”. Remember, you can take advantage of the spaces in those big letters to add embellishments or even more photos. 

I printed 2 3x4 inch photos and made a frame for them with some of my favorite patterned papers in the collection kit. I then placed my pictures nestled at the right side of my big title.

At the top left corner, I placed the die cut sun and a couple of chipboard and Bella pop clouds to create the scene of a sky.

At the bottom of the cut outs I created 2 more embellishment clusters to create a visual triangle. For this clusters I used ephemera Icons and foam adhesive to adhere them and create some dimension on my layout.

My journaling was added on a printed tag that you can find in the ephemera word pack. I added some yellow twine at the top and tucked my tag under my photo.

Spring & Cut Files | Erica Thompson

Hello friends! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 that focuses on spring and cut files! Bella Blvd has a huge library of cut files over at the Silhouette Design Store and Lori Whitlock! 

I picked out the My Happy Place cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and cut out it on some white textured cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I pulled out some of my older Bella collections and pulled out some of my favorite papers from each collection and I love that I was able to pull together papers and embellishments from a few different collection and they all went well together!

The Welcome Home 12x12 pattern paper from the Home Sweet Home collection was my main color inspiration for my layout. This is one of my favorite papers ever from Bella Blvd. The florals are so pretty and easy to fussy cut. I also used this paper for the mat of my 12x12 scrapbook layout. 

For the base of my layout I used a piece of white textured cardstock that I trimmed down to 11x11 and matted this onto some pink pattern paper from the Squeeze the Day collection. I matted both of these onto the beautiful Welcome Home 12x12 paper. I knew I wanted to add a lot of florals around the cut file so I fussy cut some florals from the Welcome Home paper and also pulled out ephemera from the Chloe collection. 

The Chloe collection is a themed collection featuring cats but I found some great pieces in this collection that worked well for my layout. I backed the My Happy Place cut file with papers from different collections including, Squeeze the Day, Home Sweet Home, Bella Besties, Chloe and You Are My Sunshine. 

My photos are from my Spring Crop and I knew they would be perfect for his layout! I love when I get to spend time with my crafty friends for a weekend of fun! I always create a fun backdrop so we can take photos during the weekend! I added a thin mat around each photo and placed them to the right of the cut file. I created some fun floral clusters around the cut file and placed a Love word die cut under the photos. To add some texture and interest to some of the floral centers I added some Bella Blvd Trinket Puffy Stickers. This adds even more color and fun to each floral! I just love how this layout came together using so many different Bella Blvd. collections! It has all my favorite things in one layout!

Designer's Choice Week | Rachel

Hi Bella friends! It's Rachel here and we've got an exciting lineup this week on the Bella Blvd blog. This week it's Designer's Choice Week - meaning each designer could pick which collection they'd like to create with. I had a hard time picking, but finally settled on School Is Cool! It's been a while since I picked up this collection and so I was pumped to used it again. Here's what I created:

I started with the patterned paper called Supply List. I love the black paper with subtle white school details printed on it. I used a free cut file to cut several different size circles. You can find it here. I only used every other circle from the cut file so that I would have space between the circles to journal and use my favorite Florence Alphas - more about that later! I added the three circles using tape runner to a piece of white 12" x 12" white cardstock.

I set that aside and started working on the giant title - SCHOOL IS COOL. It looks like I used a cut file, but it's actually from the Cut-Outs set called Smarty Pants. I used the template included to fill in the word "school." I chose to use the pattered paper called Coloring. It's a striped paper and I divided two stripes per each letter. I love how that captures all the colors in this super fun collection. Before I added the Cut- Out to the paper I put my photo in the middle of the circles.

Next, I went to work with the black Florence alphas. I angled them around the circle to show case my boy's favorite class in school. After that, I got out the Ciao Chipboard and the Ephemera Icons pack and got to work creating little clusters of embellishments along with some stamping. One of my favorite parts about this collection is that it's filled with plenty of pieces that work to document your "bigger" kids as well as those in elementary school.

Our Love Song Week - 3+ Photos Challenge

Hey y'all!  Brianna Lepper here today with another layout using the Our Love Song collection.  Our challenge this week is to add 3+ photos onto our layouts and I chose a series of selfies that my youngest son took and left on my phone.  I love finding photos like these!  Here's my page: 

I haven't used a Bella cut file in a while, so I decided to use one for this page.  I chose the "You Top My Chart" cut file and cut it out on textured white cardstock.  I backed it with several patterned papers in the collection.  

My go to backgrounds are always white cardstock but I thought it would be fun to change it up and use some patterned paper.  I chose both the "Soundtrack" and "I Love You" patterned papers and layered them together.  I then popped the cut file up on foam tape and adhered it down.  

Next, I matted my photos using the striped side of the "Love Notes" paper and arranged them under the cut file.

I started embellishing using the Ephemera Icons and Words. I love the little records!!

I also sprinkled in some of the music note Puffy stickers.

The North Pole | Conny Craig

For this week's project, I created a 12X12 Layout Using The North Pole Collection focusing on Winter/Christmas Cut Outs. It's time for us to scrap/document all the photos we took over the Holidays.

Let's get started!

The first thing I did was to back up the Christmas Cut file with papers from The North Pole Collection. I chose snowflake Paper for the background- in the middle of that, I placed ombre red paper, and on top the acetate sheet brings the snowflakes forward.

Added double-sided foam adhesive behind the Cut out, printed a black and white photo - also layered a few pages from the background BEHIND the photo.

I used die cuts, ephemera pieces, puffy stickers, and Chipboard. The most wonderful time of the year was captured with a smile.

The North Pole + Bella Besties | Rachel O'Neal

Hello Bella Blvd friends! It's Rachel on the blog today and I've got the cutest sweater wreath to show you. My boys have a few Christmas sweaters and in the month of December they wear them as much as possible. When I saw all the sweaters in The North Pole collection, I knew I needed to make a layout with as many of them as possible. I actually think I may have managed to use them all. 

I started by creating my wreath with the Bella Besties Heart paper in Pickle Juice. I used this free cut file Holiday Berry Wreath from the Paper Issues shop. Click on the link to download. I cut it out twice to give an extra layer of fullness. I stamped some black lines on the branches of the wreath to give it some dimension. Then I adhered them both to a piece of white 12" x 12" cardstock.

 

Now it was time to start embellishing the wreath. I got out all the sweaters, mittens, and knitted hats from the Ephemera Icons and added them around the wreath with some foam tape. I also added some red flowers from the Ciao Chip, Puffy Stickers, and Epoxy Stickers.

Before adding my photo to the wreath, I backed it with some patterned paper layers from the Jammies paper as well as the Daily Details paper. In the middle of the wreath, I added my title using the Bella Besties Florence Alphas in Black. These are my all-time favorite alphas in the whole world! Underneath the title I stamped some stiches along with the date. 

To finish the layout, I stamped a few more little bits scattered around the wreath and added some tiny stickers from the epoxy sheet. These little details make it look complete!

BRRR, All Bundled up! Conny Craig

Hello Beautiful Bellas,

It's Conny here today sharing a 12x12 layout, This week am using the North Pole Collection and Clear Cuts!
Let's get started!
I started by cutting three large tags- 3.32 by 5.7 inches- After I stitched the clear cut, acetate -Snow Storm at the corners of the tag. Position the tags in the middle of the 12x12 paper and placed them one after another.
I love using Cut Outs from Bella- I chose the BRRR word and backed it with the papers from The North Pole Collection
My next step was to add the Snowflake Cutouts to the right and left of the layout- I chose a black and white photo backed up with paper from the collection and placed it in the middle of the tags.
I always love embellishing the layout, , for that part I added the Bella Pops, Ephemera, Chipboard, and Cardstock stickers.
At the top of the layout, I stitched that Beary Christmas paper and distressed the edges. Added little clusters of hearts around.

The North Pole | Rachel O'Neal

Hi friends! It's Rachel and I'm back with another layout using The North Pole collection again! As I was looking through the ephemera pieces, I was inspired to create a snow globe scene. Here's my layout:

I started with the Snowglobe Wishes cut file and cut it out with my Cricut using white cardstock. You can find it here! I made it large so it would be the focus. To make the snow globe come to life I started adding layers of paper and ephemera. For the base, I cut into the You Warm My Heart patterned paper. I love the mix of pink and red together with that paper. I used white cardstock again for the snow layer and then the Jammies patterned paper for the blue sky with snowflake background.

I added the snow globe to the December 25 patterned paper using foam tape so it would stand out and add depth. It was the perfect background for such a bold cut file. Now I added all the ephemera pieces I was admiring. In the front, I used the snowman and a little forest of colorful trees. Tucked behind the snowy hill, I added a little village. Above it all, I added my title from the Ephemera Words pack.

To the right of the globe, I added my selfie of me and my husband from Christmas day last year. I used a tag and frame from the Ephemera Words pack to add more layers and tied a little bow to the top of the tag.

Then what is a snow globe without a little snow?! There are lots of pieces of snowflakes to choose from in this collection. I used ephemera, chipboard, and even stamped some snowflakes! And that is how I made this layout. I hope you love it as much as I do. Here's a list of all the items I used:

The North Pole Collection | Sarah

Hey there Bella friends! It's me, Sarah, hosting today's blog post, and I'm so excited to be back here today with a new 12x12 layout inspired by the new North Pole collection. It's a merry and bright set of papers and embellishments, and I think you're going to love it as much as I do.

Here's how I felt inspired:

What do you think of that "Ho, Ho Ho Santa" cut? I think it adds such a playful feel to the layout! It's a Bella cut file that can actually be found in the Silhouette Design Store. Find it here.

I backed the cut file with all of the cheery patterned papers from this new North Pole collection, and it was a perfect combination.

I added a couple of die cuts from the Ephemera Icons and puffy stickers to help embellish my layout. I love that those snowflakes add a touch of winter to the page. 

To balance out the design of my layout, I sprinkled some Doohickey stickers here and there. The sticker sheet always come with a cute coordinating stickers that pair perfectly with the patterned papers. I also love that these stickers make it simple enough to embellish any type of project. I used a combination of Doohickey stickers, die cuts, and puffy stickers to the embellishment clusters below:

Grateful, Thankful and Blessed Layout by Conny Craig

Hello crafty friends!

It's Conny here today, wanted to start by wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving. This week I created a layout using a large title Grateful, thankful, and blessed. I wanted to focus on how grateful, thankful, and blessed I am for having this little one in my life since the day I knew she was a part of me.

The large title was cut from that pumpkin paper using my Cricut machine, I thought it was perfect due to the fall season. I glued it to the ombre pink background and started embellishing the layout using the florals, tags, and a small photo.


How adorable is this polka-dot tag, just added that cute fox and paper clip with florals surrounding it!

I love adding layers of distressed paper under the photos, here on the photo- I added the little owl, so beautiful, and what an amazing experience die cuts, plus another cute paper clip at the top.
To finish the cluster, added florals behind the photo

To complete the layout, added stitching with my sewing machine and distressed the edges.
