Sunny Day Ahead | Gloria Parra | Lake Life + Bella Besties

Hello sweet Bella Blvd friends! Gloria Parra here today with a super fun layout. We were challenged this week to use our Bella Besties and the “Lake Life” collection to create a St. Patricks inspired layout, and OH how I loved the end result!

I started my layout with the green Lake Life polka dot patterned paper as my base, leaving a border all around. I then cut my white cardstock at 11,5 x 11,5 inches and adhered it on top. 

With the help of my trusty Bella Besties I created my super colorful rainbow, cutting each color of the rainbow with Bella Besties paper as well as some monochromatic Lake Life patterned papers. I die cut some clouds  in different sizes and different shades of blue and placed them on 3 corners, creating a visual triangle on my layout.

My idea for this page was to have a pot of spring flowers (instead of gold) at the end of my rainbow. To create my pot I used a black Bella Bestie pattered paper and the Sunny Day chipboard sticker from the Lake Life collection for my title. The red “ahead” subtitle comes from the fantastic Letter Scramble stickers. 

All the gorgeous flowers bursting from my pot come from the Lake Life ephemera packs and the Bella Pops in this incredible collection. The little turtle and frog at the bottom of my pot are also some Bella Pops from the this collection.

I printed my photos on two 2 1/4 x 6 inches photo strips and use a piece of the black patterned paper to create a frame for them, bringing the black to the left side of my layout as well. 

I then created little embellishment clusters  and  scenes on my clouds, adding little butterflies all around, which help lead the eyer through the layout. I also added some enamel dots to mark the trace of the butterflies…love how that looks!

Finally, I decided to use up all my enamel dots by placing a bunch of them on each color of my rainbow. I love the subtle shine and interest that this adds to my page! For my story I printed some journaling strips and placed them under my photo strips.

Just Because Daily Details and Borders to Create a Grid Layout

Friends, that has been the theme of this week's projects on Bella Blvd; human friends, BBF, furry friends, etc. Suzanna here today to share with you a grid based layout featuring my feline friend! Did you know that the Daily Details and Borders patterned papers from Bella Blvd collections are perfect for grid layouts? Read on to see how I used these goodies to create the above layout.

There are 4 cut aparts from the Daily Details patterned paper on this page, can you find them all? The Love and Bloom paint swatches (one and two) are backed with coordinating B sides. The It's a Wonderful Day card is trimmed down a tad and again backed. I used the colors in the card as the basis for the layouts color palette. And finally, the card with the yellow bow, bottom row on the left has text underneath the photo. A partially fussy cut yellow box pops up over the photo while the border frames the photo. The cards can be used as they come or you can jazz them up.

Looking at the photo below, you can get a better view of how I created a card using a 3x4 cut out of a piece of the Borders patterned paper. The row of hearts above a piece of B side patterned paper and a row of flowers below create a create place for journaling. Embellish as needed. Simple! I'm all about journaling on my layouts. One of the many reasons I create is to tell the story. Your journaling does just that.

Two side by side, uncut Borders form the right hand edge of the layout, pulling all the colors together. Floral clusters on opposing corners of the layout move the viewers eye across the page and give an otherwise busy page some focus.

The multi color chipboard letters that say You're The Best from the Ciao Chipboard form another row of the grid that works with the vertical strips of the Borders. I contemplated using the purple Friends die cut and cutting the S off to create the title You're The Best Friend but it would have been a feat arranging that into the grid as I had already adhered everything. I also like the way that Friends closes some of that gap between the grid and borders.

Friendship Scrapbooking Layout | Just Because Collection | Yvette Weber

 

Hello, scrapping friends! It's Yvette back with you today with an exciting layout to share with you, featuring the stunning Just Because collection. This week's theme is centered around friendship, and the focus is on the Borders & Daily Details papers. 

 

I had a lot of fun creating a star design by cutting the Borders patterned paper into sections and layering them together. I added some machine stitching to the top of each strip to give it a personal touch. Next, I cut two 2x2 journal cards from the Daily Details paper and placed them under two of the Star designs. I embellished them with a few of the icon flowers and the Flower Garden Bella-Pops - they're my absolute favorites! And the best part? The end result was just beautiful!

 

 

I cut apart two tag pieces and one of the journal cards from the Daily Details paper and placed them behind the photo. 

 

 

I used one of the chipboard sticker phrases for my title and placed it on the right-hand side of my page. 

 

I added some of the beautiful floral Flourish Epoxy stickers to the layout. They add a nice touch to the design.

Double page layout using Let's Scrapbook! collection l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! Who likes to scrap double page layouts? It's not actually something I do that often but when I do I love the end result! It also means I can get more photos on a layout rather than just a few! I'm using the fab new Let's Scrapbook! collection though I took a slightly different spin and went for photos that are not that obviously scrapbook related..... I was away in Luxembourg with friends for a scrapbook workshop by the lovely Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane and we had a free day so went exploring around the city, and of course we took loads of photos because that's what scrapbookers do!

Firstly I taped two pieces of white cardstock together on the back as I find this easiest when working on a double page layout. Just keeps it all together and when working on elements that run across both pages it means you can make sure they match up.

I cut a piece of the Button Burst patterned paper in half (with the stripes running vertically). Using a craft knife I cut a number of short openings in between some of the stripes on both pieces, making sure I knew where my photos were going first so that I didn't cover the openings up later! I curled back the sides of each opening and backed them with pieces of the Paper Party patterned paper (small flower side). Next I stuck the two pieces down onto the white cardstock (keeping the pink stripe to the centre of both sides). I then added a cross-stitch to each small opening in the corresponding colour to the stripe. Then I added the striped scalloped border sticker (cut into two pieces) from the coordinating Doohickey Stickers along the top edge of the striped paper on both sides. 

My six 5" x 3½" photos are mounted on two pieces of the Junk It Up patterned paper (green side). Keep a narrow border around all sides except the side that sits on the inner edge of the white cardstock. Stick these down using foam pads. 

Now some fussy cutting which I love! Using the Button Burst patterned paper I fussy cut out fifteen of the button flowers (two are partial flowers cut from the edge of the paper). Yes, I did cut in between each of the 'petals'! There are another three button flowers from the Ephemera Words that I used as well. Then I tied coordinating embroidery thread through the centre of each one. I added these to my layout in three clusters around the photos and in the top right of the right page, this gives me balance by using the 'rule of three' and draws the eye into the layout. 

Next I added embellishments to each of the clusters using the Doohickey Stickers, Bella-Pops, Ciao-Chip Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Puffy Stickers focusing on the cameras, circles, hearts, buttons (I added thread through these as well) and appropriate words. Some of the elements are raised on foam pads to add dimension.

 

 

 

To finish off I added a title using the black alpha from the Doohickey Stickers and the Letter Scramble Alphas in Punch and Guacamole, and of course added some journaling.

Mother’s Day | Just Because Collection

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and in honor of Mother’s Day coming up, I have a sweet layout of my daughter and my Mom. My photo trio is adorable and the Just Because collection was perfect to pair with it. Here’s my page:

For my base, I used the new Bella Besties Gingham and Stripes in White and trimmed one of the 12x12 Patterned Papers down and adhered it to the top of my page. I added one of the scalloped border stickers from the Doohickey Cardstock Sticker sheet.  

We are focusing on both the Ephemera Icons and Words packs and I built a diagonal design using some of the larger elements. I layered them together around my photo and that bunny is so cute!!

Since my photo is for Mother’s Day, I went with that phrase as my title and layered a few phrase pieces underneath it 

The colors in this collection are so soft and pretty, so fitting for this page.

Love | Just Because Collection | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I’m so excited to be able to share my first layout using the amazing Just Because collection.  The color palette is soft and beautiful and the elements included in this collection are perfect to document all of your sweet moments. Here’s my page:

One of my favorite colors is purple and I was so happy to see that it was included in this collection! There’s a gorgeous purple wood grain 12x12 paper (Sing Me A Song) that I knew I wanted to use as a base for this layout. First, I took a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it down to an 11x11 size. For some extra interest, I cut into each side about an inch deep and folded over each side. After adding some staples to the corners, I then adhered it to the Sing Me A Song paper. 

Next, I matted my photo using the Fresh Flowers and Daily Details papers and popped it up on foam tape. I also fussy cut the ‘Bloom’ card from the Daily Details paper and layered it next to my photo and adhered them both down to the center of my page.

I combined a Ciao Chip Chipboard phrase sticker and the Peep Florence Alphas to create my title and arranged them at the bottom left side of my photo.  My daughter turned 11 months in this photo so I thought it would be cute to include that info using the alpha stickers. 

I started to embellish using the Ephemera Icons and more of the Ciao Chip stickers. I love the florals in this collection and really wanted to have them all around my page. I had the bees leftover from the Fluttery Bella Pop sticker set and sprinkled them in as well. 

Lastly, I added in the smaller elements by sprinkling in the florals from the Flourish Epoxy stickers and the Peep, Punch and Cotton Candy Trinkets Puffy stickers.  I also added in some bits of tangled thread in coordinating colors to complete my page.

Just Because Flower Cart Mini Album!

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio and I have the cutest little mini album to share with you made with the adorable new Just Because collection by Bella Blvd. This amazing flower cart, part of the ephemera icons, was just too cute to pass up as a mini album cover!

Using two different pieces of the pretty patterned paper, I created a booklet with four pages to fit onto the back of the flower cart and then decorated and embellished it with the charming ephemera and stickers of the collection! Two of the pages have interactive elements like this one that features a pull out photo spot topped with a colorful rainbow icon!

This page is simple but oh so cute with layered patterned papers topped with a pretty chipboard flower border! The next page is also interactive with a fun photo flip that has lots of room for pictures or journaling and is accented with colorful sentiment stickers and tiny flower icons!

The last pages in the album are all about the flowers! A shiny epoxy flower highlights a sweet sentiment on one and the last page has a pocket that holds a bright layered tag cut from two of the colorful 3x4 cards and is topped with another dazzling epoxy flower!

Time to Travel & Letter Scrambles I Heather Cerulo

Hello there!  Heather here today to share a layout using the fabulous Time To Travel collection.  I am documenting a summer vacation from last year, when my husband and I rented electric bikes.  Such fun memories!

 

 

To begin, I cut a a few pieces of patterned paper from this collection and layered them together.  I also added the Plaids & Dotty paper in Cotton Candy to bring out the pink in this collection and my shirt.  Next, I created my mixed font title.  I started with a title from the Ciao Chip, and then added the rest in different fonts from the Letter Scrambles alphas.

 

 

The next step was the create embellishment clusters using the Ephemera Words & Phrases, Icons, Epoxy Stickers and Puffy Stickers.  I pulled out the keys to add to the clusters because we had a motor on our bikes!  Perfect fit!

 

 

The cameras in this collection are so cute, so I had to add them to my clusters as well!

 

 

Lastly, I added a few pieces of ephemera on the top right, and finished this layout!

Hi Bella friends, it's Kim and I'm here today with a layout featuring the Time to Travel collection. Our challenge was to use the collection with a focus on the Cut Outs and a vacation vibe. This picture of my sweet granddaughter on her first cruise was perfect for it.

 

 

I loved the blue sky and water behind my granddaughter in the photo and decided  I would reflect that on my page. I started by pulling out a stencil and inks from my stash.  I added clouds at the top and waves at the bottom.  

 

I picked Smile as my Cut Out to use and backed it with two different papers. I love the scalloped borders and added multiple ones underneath my title for added interest. 

 

To embellish this page, I stuck with the green, yellow and blues in the collection. My granddaughter's top was a perfect match, it's like this photo was made for this collection. I love it when that happens! 

 

I added a few word phrases, flowers and some fun diecuts. I finished my page with the Puffy Stickers and epoxy stickers.

Time to Travel Layout with Maree

Hi Bella Friends,

I have a fun travel layout to a share with you all today and this is a really easy one to re-create! I documented some recent time in New Zealand with my family when we had a day at the beach.

I used a simple grid design. I cut squares from papers in the Time to Travel Collection Kit. I cut them 2.5 inches square and my small pics are 1.75 inches square. I started by laying out the squares around the outside of the layout to create a big border. Then in the middle I used the 'I love travel' cutout. The phrase was Family Trip but I trimmed it down just to used the word family. Then I used the Florence Alphas in the color Blueberry to create the sub-title Beach trip.

Then I added my pics and did some tone on tone embellishing.

I used a mixture of Ciao Chip, Epoxy stickers, Word and Icon Ephemera and Doohickey Stickers. I popped some bits up on foam adhesive to create dimension. It is a fun way to add lots of pictures to a page when you make an easy grid.

I finished off with a little bit of stamping and white ink splatters for interest. I really enjoyed creating this layout and hope you like and maybe give it a try yourself!

Bella Besties | Maree

 

Hi Bella Friends

Today I am here to share a fun layout using a whole range of Bella Besties products and some bits and pieces from the EIEIO collection. I also feature a Bella Blvd acrylic title and a Bella Blvd cut file from the Silhouette store.

 

I started with the gorgeous half rainbow cut file found in the Bella Blvd store here:

I decided to use mainly cool tones to reflect the landscape in my picture. The next step was inking the bottom of the rainbow and adding the fabulous Trinkets Puffy Stickers in the colors, Ice and Gulf, Pickle Juice and Guacamole, and Bell Pepper.

 

 

Then I added my picture and created my large title. The word 'Family' is from the EIEIO words ephemera pack and 'memories' is from the EIEIO Doohickey stickers. The 'Today' is an acrylic piece by Bella Blvd and the 'so lucky' is made the Aria Alphabet Puffy stickers in the color Pickle Juice.

Next I added some small tone on tone cluster groups using the EIEIO collection. I used Ciao Chip, ephemera and stickers.

 

I finished off by adding my typed journalling. I am really happy with this layout. It came together quickly but is fun and bright. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and get some creative time today.
