Let's Scrapbook: Monochromatic Color Cards...

 

Welcome Bella friends.. Annette Allen here with you today and we are going Monochromatic with cards. This was so fun to create these two cards using the new Let's Scrapbook collection, mixed with a few other Bella goodies.. So let's get started.

 

 

YELLOW... what a happy color, Right? It is one of my most favorite colors and I think I got plenty of yellow on this card. 

 

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Cut 4 1/2 inch strips of the Let's Scrapbook Tools Of The Trade backer.

 

Cut 8 1/2 inch strips of the Bella Besties Graph & Dot Bell Pepper paper. We are going to use the front and back of this paper. 

 

Using liquid glue we are going to create a basket weave on our card base. Start with the top first and adhere ONLY ON THE TOP of the paper to the card base. Fill the top but leave room in between each design. Now let's adhere starting on the left side only on the top part of the paper. Let the dry take hold before started to create your basket weave design. Rotate the designs until your card base is full and trim off access. 

 

Die cut or use a cut file to cut an open face scalloped circle on the Let's Scrapbook Tools Of The Trade backer paper. Add some foam tape to the back of the scalloped circle and adhere to your card. 

 

 

Finishing up with the sentiment created using the Let's Scrapbook Ciao Chip and the Bella Besties Letter Scramble Bell Pepper which I added to the center of the circle. 

 

 

Next up, we have gone teal...

 

 

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

 

Die cut or use a cut file to cut 14 1 1/4 inch circles and 10 1inch circles on the Bella Blvd Let's Scrapbook Cut It Up backer paper and Bella Besties Graph & Dot Gulf paper (we will use front and back. 

 

On the 1 inch circles score the center of the circle and fold. 

 

On 10 of the 1 1/4 circles (mix it up) adhere the 1 inch circles to the larger circle, but only put glue on the center of the fold so you can flare it up for a little dimension. 

 

Adhere the circles to your card mixing up the designs. You will notice that the circles falling off the card do not have the smaller circle on them. Trim off access. 

 

 

Pick out the CRAFTY sentiment from the Let's Scrapbook Ephemera Words, add some foam tape to the back and adhere to the center of the card. 

 

Let's also add the sentiment FUN from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey.

 

Finishing up with that sweet little teal heart from the Let's Scrapbook Epoxy Capture Color.

Customize Cut Outs to Create A Monochromatic Layout / Let's Scrapbook / Suzanna Lee

This week the Bella Blvd design team is focusing on creating monochromatic projects focusing on their favorite color and keeping the emphasis on the Let's Scrapbook collection and combining some Bella Besties. I created a graduation layout and customized the Congratulations Cut Out and used all the teal I could round up. Teal is one of my daughters' high school colors and it was only fitting that that be the monochrome of a graduation layout.

Let's Scrapbook is a collection that is all about color, all the colors. The patterned papers are either tone on tone color or the gamut of the rainbow. I used the obvious teal B side and combined it with the Gulf Bella Besties from the two 6x6 Paper Pads to fill the openings of the Cut Outs. Each Cut Outs comes with directions and a template. As per the template, I put the template letter on top of the patterned paper I wanted and loosely cut out the letter.
Next I used liquid adhesive with a fine tip applicator on the backside of the Cut Outs and then adhered the letter that I just cut out. With the letter that are duplicate, I saved myself time by cutting both as the same time. TIPS: Be sure to use details scissors for clean cuts, move the paper as you close your scissors and temporary adhesive helps from sliding as you're cutting.

As I used the white Cut Outs on a white background, I needed black for some contrast to all the white. A few of the ephemera pieces from the Let's Scrapbook collection along with Gulf Besties Collection Puffy Stickers were the perfect compliments for sprinkles of visual interest through out the layout.

Letter stickers from the Let's Scrapbook Doohickey sticker sheet mixed well with Gulf Letter Scramble stickers to indicate the high school my daughter graduated from and her class. Again, I kept the color palette monochrome with the black for accent. I had a random scallop border left over from a previous layout that I up along the top in order to fill the space.

White space is something that I strive to include with my creations, it produces a visually appealing design and gives the viewer some calm, a space to breathe in all the elements. This is quite a busy layout, but there is white space, lots of little bits of white space. The spaces between the letters. I have intentionally left many of them without ephemera in order to provide bits and pieces of calm among the chaos of letters.

I hope you are inspired to pull out some of your Besties Collection bits and coordinate them with your Bella Blvd collections! They are great timeless accents to any collection!

Celebrating Fathers with Let's Scrapbook Cameras!

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio! Father's Day will soon be here and what better way to celebrate the loved and special men in your life than with a beautiful layout! I have lots of great guys in my life but this layout is all about my hubby, aka Grandpa to three sweet grands!

My husband is a great grandpa and looooves his grandkids! He is always doing fun things with just them and, big plus for me, he loves to snap selfies while they are having great times! Bella Blvd challenged us to create a project with the Let's Scrapbook collection with a focus on the camera embellishments so this was a perfect combo! I started by splattering on some paint in colors that matched with the camera embellishments of the collection onto white cardstock. Then I cut camera strips from the 12x12 Photo Taker paper and placed them at different angles on my base.  

Each photo of my grandchildren is mounted on a different color of the Bella Besties Stripes 6x6 paper, and layered with a coordinating border sticker along with a strip of paper cut from the 12x12 Button Burst paper. I chose two camera embellishments for each section in complementing colors along with various other matching ephemera, enamel dots and puffy and epoxy stickers! Too cute!

I also added a sentiment for each child that color coordinates as well and used the smallest letters from the Bella Besties Letter Scramble for my title! The finishing touch are three small color coordinating tabs that I die cut and tucked in under the photos!

Use the Bella Blvd Cut-Outs for a large title l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everyone! I am loving the fabulous Cut-Outs that coordinate with the Let's Scrapbook collection! I chose the 'Creative Friends' title to feature on my layout as it was perfect with my photo from a recent trip over to Luxembourg with some of my scrappy friends to take part in a weekend workshop with the lovely Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane. I love that scrapbooking has introduced me to so many wonderful people, and made some lifelong friends! 

I wanted to create a large feature so pulled out the coordinating Cut-Outs to use as a title, picking 'Creative Friends'. I decided to back the 'Creative' in rainbow colours, so I used a mix of papers from the Let's Scrapbook collection and some from the Bella Besties papers so that I covered all the colours! Then I backed 'Friends' in black as I liked how that popped from the layout and also emphasised the word. I raised them both using foam pads as I like the dimension you get. 

Then I added vertical stripes in the same rainbow colours to the top half of the layout, and then continued them on the bottom edge. This also allowed me to ground my bottom embellishment cluster rather than just have it 'floating'! 

To add a little more texture to a layout I often add some hand-stitching so decided to do that here and added cross-stitches to the top and bottom stripes. I also stitched through the centre of some buttons from the Ephemera Icons, and some flower buttons that I fussy cut from one of the patterned papers. 

I decided to change my photo to black and white as that just worked better with the all the rainbow colours I was using and would have just felt a little busy otherwise. I also mounted it using the same black paper as I had for 'Friends'. I then stuck down the 'Creative Friends' title and tucked in my photo just under the top edge. 

Next was adding the embellishments, so I pulled out lots of the fun Ephemera Icons pieces, along with the Puffy Stickers, Epoxy Stickers and Doohickey Stickers and created clusters to the bottom of the layout and around the photo. I added the stitched buttons to the 'Friends' keeping them in rainbow order to echo the coloured stripes.

 

Then I added a few of the phrases from the Ephemera Words and Doohickey Stickers below the title, along with my journaling and I was done! Love how it turned out, makes me happy!

Mother’s Day | Just Because Collection

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and in honor of Mother’s Day coming up, I have a sweet layout of my daughter and my Mom. My photo trio is adorable and the Just Because collection was perfect to pair with it. Here’s my page:

For my base, I used the new Bella Besties Gingham and Stripes in White and trimmed one of the 12x12 Patterned Papers down and adhered it to the top of my page. I added one of the scalloped border stickers from the Doohickey Cardstock Sticker sheet.  

We are focusing on both the Ephemera Icons and Words packs and I built a diagonal design using some of the larger elements. I layered them together around my photo and that bunny is so cute!!

Since my photo is for Mother’s Day, I went with that phrase as my title and layered a few phrase pieces underneath it 

The colors in this collection are so soft and pretty, so fitting for this page.

Just Because 12x12 Layout with Sarah

Hello, Bella friends! Happy Friday! It's me Sarah (@redoaklines) back on the blog, and I'm excited to be sharing a layout that I created using one of the newest Bella collections. I'm delivering you some scrappy, crafty goodness featuring the adorable Just Because collection.

Here's what I came up with:

When I first saw this release, I was so giddy to get my hands on it. I have twin girls that are all about tea parties, and you know that I have a handful of photos of them from these little parties. The Just Because collection gives me the perfect opportunity to document this family fun.

The icons and Doohickey stickers in this collection are adorable. It has a spring-like feel to it, and Easter projects work great with this collection. There are flowers, bunnies, hearts, bumblebees, just to name a few. I wanted to use the cute, little bumblebees and the butterflies to bring my layout together.

 

Lastly, I used Bella Besties Letter Scramble Alphabet stickers in purple to complete my title of "You Are Beautiful". I love that the Letter Scramble stickers come in a variety of colors to match any of the Bella Blvd collections.

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I’m so excited to be able to share my first layout using the amazing Just Because collection.  The color palette is soft and beautiful and the elements included in this collection are perfect to document all of your sweet moments. Here’s my page:

One of my favorite colors is purple and I was so happy to see that it was included in this collection! There’s a gorgeous purple wood grain 12x12 paper (Sing Me A Song) that I knew I wanted to use as a base for this layout. First, I took a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it down to an 11x11 size. For some extra interest, I cut into each side about an inch deep and folded over each side. After adding some staples to the corners, I then adhered it to the Sing Me A Song paper. 

Next, I matted my photo using the Fresh Flowers and Daily Details papers and popped it up on foam tape. I also fussy cut the ‘Bloom’ card from the Daily Details paper and layered it next to my photo and adhered them both down to the center of my page.

I combined a Ciao Chip Chipboard phrase sticker and the Peep Florence Alphas to create my title and arranged them at the bottom left side of my photo.  My daughter turned 11 months in this photo so I thought it would be cute to include that info using the alpha stickers. 

I started to embellish using the Ephemera Icons and more of the Ciao Chip stickers. I love the florals in this collection and really wanted to have them all around my page. I had the bees leftover from the Fluttery Bella Pop sticker set and sprinkled them in as well. 

Lastly, I added in the smaller elements by sprinkling in the florals from the Flourish Epoxy stickers and the Peep, Punch and Cotton Candy Trinkets Puffy stickers.  I also added in some bits of tangled thread in coordinating colors to complete my page.

Time to Travel & Letter Scrambles I Heather Cerulo

Hello there!  Heather here today to share a layout using the fabulous Time To Travel collection.  I am documenting a summer vacation from last year, when my husband and I rented electric bikes.  Such fun memories!

 

 

To begin, I cut a a few pieces of patterned paper from this collection and layered them together.  I also added the Plaids & Dotty paper in Cotton Candy to bring out the pink in this collection and my shirt.  Next, I created my mixed font title.  I started with a title from the Ciao Chip, and then added the rest in different fonts from the Letter Scrambles alphas.

 

 

The next step was the create embellishment clusters using the Ephemera Words & Phrases, Icons, Epoxy Stickers and Puffy Stickers.  I pulled out the keys to add to the clusters because we had a motor on our bikes!  Perfect fit!

 

 

The cameras in this collection are so cute, so I had to add them to my clusters as well!

 

 

Lastly, I added a few pieces of ephemera on the top right, and finished this layout!

Smile My Lucky Charm | Lake Life + Bella Besties and Letter Scramble

Hello Bella friends, Gloria Parra here with a new layout focusing on green using the “Lake Life” collection + Bella Besties. This kind of challenges are an awesome way to stretch those themed collections and create something totally unexpected!

For this layout, I started with 2 green patterned papers from the Lake Life collection. I loved the idea of incorporating some light blue and yellow to my page. I had the perfect photos of my little one looking all cute ready to go to her “husbands” birthday party, LOL! The color combo was perfect for my photos!

I started cutting the plaid patterned paper from the Lake Life collection at 6 inches tall by 9 inches wide and used a green Bella Bestie paper for the bottom part. Making my patterned background 10”x9”.

For my middle band I used green polka dot patterned paper from the Lake Life collection. I cut it at 11” x 3”. For my two 3x4 vertical photos I used the sunflower patterned paper and a Bella Bestie yellow grid paper to create the frames for my photos. I love how these patterned papers make my photos pop and take center stage.

I then cut a 3x4 tag from a light blue grid patterned paper and used it to create  my first embellishment cluster and to add my title on top of it. I love how the Letter Scrambles look when you mix the fonts and colors. For my embellishments I used a bunch of daisies and different color flowers. I love the little from that’s jumping on top of my letters and is wearing sunglasses just like my girl is on the photos!

I then created 2 other embellishment clusters, adding more florals, vines, flies and some enamel leaves. To finish my layout, I sprinkled some enamel dots and added some cute flies floating around my page!

I hope you guys like this layout and feel inspired to use your themed collections in a totally new way. The Lake Life collection is perfect for those St Patrick photos that you have waiting to be scrapped!

Lake Life + Bella Besties + Letter Scramble I Heather Cerulo

Hello there! Happy almost St. Patrick's Day! Whether you celebrate, or not, this is the perfect time to think about all those things in our lives that make us lucky!  For me, that is being an auntie to my niece and nephew.

 

For my (mostly) monochromatic layout, I pulled out all the green papers from the Lake Life collection, along with the Bella Besties in Guacamole and Pickle Juice.  I did pull in an Ice Bella Bestie paper as well, to match the blue in the Lake Life plaid paper.  I started with a 4"x4" photo, and created photo mats with my patterned papers, each a 1/2" larger than the previous layer.

 

Next, I used a die to die cut lots of small hearts from the patterned paper, and cascade them from the top of the layout, sewing through each vertical line.  I added a few popped up hearts on top of the first layer of hearts, and some Trinket Puffy Stickers and Epoxy Dots, as well.

 

For the title at the top of my page, I used pre-made phrases from the Lake Life ephemera words.  I did cut off another part of the phrase to isolate just the word "life" to make my title "Family Life".

 

On the bottom of my layout, I used a large piece of Guacamole Graph and Dot paper, along with a small strip in Ice.  I pulled out some larger heart dies to create the shamrock on the bottom left corner of my photo.  I used the Letter Scramble alphas in White to add words to each of the hearts, before connecting them together to make a shamrock.

 

Last, I created one more shamrock with another size heart die, and added each of our initials (a for Auntie!).  I added a few phrase sentiments under my photo from the Lake Life collection, and finished off by adding the year.

Hi Bella Friends

Today I am here to share a fun layout using a whole range of Bella Besties products and some bits and pieces from the EIEIO collection. I also feature a Bella Blvd acrylic title and a Bella Blvd cut file from the Silhouette store.

 

I started with the gorgeous half rainbow cut file found in the Bella Blvd store here:

I decided to use mainly cool tones to reflect the landscape in my picture. The next step was inking the bottom of the rainbow and adding the fabulous Trinkets Puffy Stickers in the colors, Ice and Gulf, Pickle Juice and Guacamole, and Bell Pepper.

 

 

Then I added my picture and created my large title. The word 'Family' is from the EIEIO words ephemera pack and 'memories' is from the EIEIO Doohickey stickers. The 'Today' is an acrylic piece by Bella Blvd and the 'so lucky' is made the Aria Alphabet Puffy stickers in the color Pickle Juice.

Next I added some small tone on tone cluster groups using the EIEIO collection. I used Ciao Chip, ephemera and stickers.

 

I finished off by adding my typed journalling. I am really happy with this layout. It came together quickly but is fun and bright. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and get some creative time today.
