Thanksgiving & Cut Outs Week Day 3 | Inessa

Hi friends,

Inessa here and I'm sharing a thanksgiving layout using papers from the Spell on You collection, Bella besties and the Heart Attack Cut-Out. I hope you can be inspired to use your holiday themed collections in multiple ways. Since Thanksgiving has an abundance of oranges and warm colors, I picked papers that worked with my theme. 

I backed the cut-out (which is a precut paper die cut) and backed with the following papers: Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre Orange (B side), Bella Besties Graph & Dots Black (used both sides), Bella Besties Graph & Dots Bell Pepper(used both sides), Spell on You Candy Dots (b side), Broomsticks (b side), Daily Details (b side), Happy Halloween (b side), Spell Caster (b side). 

 

I used about 3/4 of the cut out and adhered it to my background paper using foam adhesive for a dimensional look. The background paper is the Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre in Orange. I then adhered my photo using foam adhesive as well. I added a cluster of hearts on the left side and a title using the Aria alpha puffy stickers in black and Florence alpha stickers in Orange. 

As a last step, I made the little turkey using the Turkey Friend cutfile downloaded from the Silhouette store. You can find it here.

I used the same mix of papers, adding in some cardstock, the white Graph & Dots and the Pony Hearts & Ombre to cut the various pieces.

Hi Bella Friends

Today I am here to share a fun layout using a whole range of Bella Besties products and some bits and pieces from the EIEIO collection. I also feature a Bella Blvd acrylic title and a Bella Blvd cut file from the Silhouette store.

 

I started with the gorgeous half rainbow cut file found in the Bella Blvd store here:

I decided to use mainly cool tones to reflect the landscape in my picture. The next step was inking the bottom of the rainbow and adding the fabulous Trinkets Puffy Stickers in the colors, Ice and Gulf, Pickle Juice and Guacamole, and Bell Pepper.

 

 

Then I added my picture and created my large title. The word 'Family' is from the EIEIO words ephemera pack and 'memories' is from the EIEIO Doohickey stickers. The 'Today' is an acrylic piece by Bella Blvd and the 'so lucky' is made the Aria Alphabet Puffy stickers in the color Pickle Juice.

Next I added some small tone on tone cluster groups using the EIEIO collection. I used Ciao Chip, ephemera and stickers.

 

I finished off by adding my typed journalling. I am really happy with this layout. It came together quickly but is fun and bright. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and get some creative time today.

EIEIO focus on Clear Cuts l Kirei Baldwin

Hi everybody! It's Kirei here with another layout using the super cute farmyard inspired EIEIO collection! For this one I have focused on using the Cloudy Day Clear Cuts acetate sheet and decided to create a scene on my layout using the Clear Cuts to make three large handstitched clouds.

I added an 11" square of white cardstock to a frame cut from the EIEIO Howdy paper. Now I have to confess that sticking the white card at an angle created me some challenges when adding the various elements as I was trying to keep them straight but they just didn't look right.... I persevered and think it looks okay in the end!

I hand drew three clouds using the ones on the Cloudy Days Clear Cuts as a guide. Then I cut each of them out and used them as templates to cut out three clouds from the Clear Cuts acetate sheet. I laid them onto my background and when happy with the positioning I added a piece of washi tape to hold them in place while I punched the stitching holes. Then I added a backstitch border to each cloud using a pale blue embroidery thread. 

Then I moved on to adding my photo which I first mounted using pieces of the EIEIO Howdy and Borders papers. 

Next it was time to embellish and I used a mix of the EIEIO Ephemera Icons, Epoxy Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Bella Pops Holy Cow! and Trinkets Stickers.

 

I finished off by adding a title using the Aria Alphabet in Pony and my journaling.

Spring Vibes + Bella Besties | Brianna

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here and I’ve got a bright and happy Spring layout for y’all today.  Did you know that the Tiny Tots 2.0 collection has a lot of fun Spring elements?  It was perfect to document this photo of me and my boys on Easter Sunday back in 2010. 

When I think of Spring, I always immediately think of florals.  So I took out a few flower paper punches and punched them out using patterned papers from the collection as well as the Graph & Dot paper in Bell Pepper.  One punch was smaller than the other so I was able to layer them up to create some fun dimension.  

For the centers of each flower, I used the flower Puffy Trinket Stickers in white.  I also punched out some leaves using the Graph & Dot Paper in Pickle Juice. I wanted some extra sparkle, so I took some Stickles and added it to the outside of each flower and to the center of all of the leaves. 


I arranged them on a piece of white cardstock and because the Bella striped paper is one of my favorites, I just had to add two strips of it to the top and bottom of my page.

For my title, I used a combination of the Aria Alpha stickers in Plum, Pickle Juice, Cotton Candy, Orange, Ice and Gulf. 

Next, I started to embellish. I thought the Cute Bugs Bella Pop was the perfect addition to my layout!

I also added in a few Doohickey Cardstock stickers, Puffy Stickers and Ephemera Icons.

The North Pole Collection + Cut Outs | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Happy New Year!  Brianna Lepper here today sharing a fun layout using The North Pole collection and this week we are focusing on the Winter/Christmas Cut Outs.  If you're not familiar with the Bella Cut Outs, I promise you will love them!! They are pre-cut cut files with some having several different ones in a pack.  They include templates and instructions and are perfect if you're creating in a short time frame, on the go or just don't want to fuss with your cutting machine/software.  Super convenient.  Here's my page!

For my layout, I chose to work with some of the Wonderland Cut Outs since I chose a photo of my puppy in the snow from a couple of years back.  I backed the "Brrr" and "Cold" words using papers from the collection and then chose to heat emboss the snowflake pieces in silver.  I LOVE how they all turned out!

Next, I trimmed down the Jammies 12x12 patterned paper, turned it on its side and adhered it to the Beary Christmas patterned paper.  I popped my Cut Out pieces up on foam and created my title using the word pieces.  I added onto it using the Aria Alphas in White.  

I embellished using the super cute Skating Bella Pop and also added in some Ephemera Icons and Words.  

For some finishing touches, I sprinkled in some Puffy Stickers and the snowflake stickers from the Bella Pop sheet.  I love how wintery this layout is!

Thanksgiving & Cut Outs Week Day 1 | Brianna

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout during Thanksgiving Week!  I hope you all are having a great day so far,  I know I am!  There is so much to be thankful for and I thought it would be fun to document some photos of our furry babies wearing their Fall bandanas.  They are all so special in our family and they keep me company all day every day!  This week we are focusing on using Cut Outs and I chose to work with the Mood Booster one.  Here's my page: 

I love this Cut Out as is and didn't want to back it so I chose to spruce it up by spraying on some Shimmerz Paints from my stash.  I chose to work with the Cooper collection so I chose colors that matched really well with it.  Once it was finished drying, I adhered it to the ombre side of the Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre patterned paper in Pony.  The brown really made it feel even more Fall themed and I love how the colors look on top of it!

Here's another shot of this super fun Cut Out.  If you're not familiar with Cut Outs, they are pre-cut cut files that include templates and instructions on how to back each one.  Most packages have several included so that you're able to create a few projects with only one pack.  Super convenient if you are in a time crunch or if you're traveling!

Next, I matted my photo using a few papers from the collection and popped it up on foam tape.  I adhered it down and added a green Cute Clip to the top of it.  Look how cute my babies are!

For my title, I used the Gratitude Acrylic Word and added onto it using the Aria Alphas in White.  I centered it under my photo cluster and love how it turned out.  

To embellish, I started with the Pups Bella Pops and adhered the cute dog faces around my title.  

I worked in a few Heart Hugs, Ciao Chip Chipboard Stickers, Ephemera and Doohickey Cardstock Stickers as well.  I love tucking and layering!

For a few finishing touches, I adhered a few of the Epoxy Hearts from the collection and splattered some white paint to bring everything together.

Spell On You Week | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing another layout using the absolutely gorgeous Spell On You collection.  Did y'all get a chance to watch the new Hocus Pocus 2 movie that premiered on Friday?  We did and we loved it!  We knew that it wouldn't come close to the original, but it was still super cute!  Here's my layout: 

I have this really cute photo of my boys painting pumpkins at a pumpkin patch and this collection has a really cute Jack & Bat Bella Pop that I really wanted to use!  The collection also has so many cute pumpkin pieces in it.  Perfect for my photo!  I took the Carving Pumpkins and Candy Dots papers and tore them at a fun angle and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock. This would be the base for my photo and embellishments.  

Before I adhered my photo down, I layered a few scalloped border stickers together both from the Doohickey Cardstock and Ciao Chip Chipboard Sheets.   

For my title, I used the Aria Alphas in Plum and Pickle Juice and I also used the word "pumpkins" from the Ciao Chip Chipboard sheet.  I love how it came out!

For more embellishments, I layered in some Ephemera Icons and Words and even added the really cute pumpkins from the Fright Night Puffy Stickers.

School is cool - Chipboard focus - Emilie Chamel

Hello friends! Emilie here for another week of School is cool! As you might know from my last post, I like to take a "First day at school" photo and I also love to scrapbook it too! I love those new pictures so much that I wanted to use them again on another layout, especially when I still have on my desk this fantastic new collection by Bella BLVD.

 

 

I love this striking black and white patterned paper. I knew I wanted to use it as a background, and it definitely drove my idea to print my photos in black and white.

 

 

I don't know why, but I have a thing for apples on patterned paper... And this one is no different so I knew I would have to use it. This drove my second design decision: I knew I would go towards a very black and red layout.

 

 

I matted my photographs onto the red patterned paper and chose the red and whitewash tape to run down behind my pictures. Another strip of the apple paper helped to balance my layout and repeat this element.

As our assignment was to focus on the chipboards, I raided them to find as many elements which I felt would work best with my design. I felt that at this point bringing other primary colors would work very well so the title was chosen as well as the crayons and flowers.

A last few details such as a school building as well as the super cute converses finished off my design.

Spell On You | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today and I'm so excited to share my new layout with y'all!  This is my first layout using the new Spell On You collection and I had so much fun creating it!  This collection has so many fabulous elements to it and I can't wait to be able to use it again soon.  Here's my layout: 

To start, I trimmed four 4"x4" inch squares using the Candy Dots, Broomsticks and All Tricks No Treats 12x12 patterned papers.  They are the cutest patterns and I really wanted to highlight them. I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed down to 11x11 and backed with the Wee Witches 12x12 patterned paper.  I love how the stars really pop on that black.  

I started to decorate my first square by using a few Doohickey Cardstock Border Stickers and layered the really cute Witching Hour Bella Pop right on top.  I also adhered a few Ephemera Words and a few of the Fright Night Puffy Stickers. How adorable is that little witch??!

I created a fun little scene on the next square by using a haunted house and witch piece from the Ephemera Icons pack.  

On the next square, I added my title using an Ephemera Word and the Aria Alphas in Plum.  I added a few Puffy Stickers and these really cute witch shoes from the Ephemera Pieces.  

My last square held my photo that I matted with a tag and frame from the Ephemera Words pack.  I added a few phrase stickers from the Doohickey Cardstock Stickers and popped the entire thing up on foam tape.  The photo is of me and my best friend at a Halloween party.  I was Peach from Mario Kart and she was Sarah Sanderson from Hocus Pocus.  Such a perfect photo for this collection!

Tiny Tots 2.0 & Time to Travel week - Day 1 - Emilie Chamel

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying this summer! Here with the school holidays, we are keeping the kids busy the best we can which means the occasional dress-up day. And who says dress-up says mummy has her camera to the ready! In this post I am showing how versatile Tiny Tots 2.0 can be, let's have a look!

I love my little Sophia in her Belle's dress. She is so cute! And I was so lucky that she agreed to play along to a photoshoot while wearing her dress. I knew I wanted to use these photos for my Tiny Tots 2.0 project. The collections has a few florals and it also has yellow, red and green papers which I knew I would want to use.

You can't think of the Beauty and the Beast without thinking of the rose. I therefor decided to create a 3D rose out of the ABC's papers. I then cut out some leaves out of the You're A Star paper to accompany the rose. To mat my photographs, I used the yellow side of the Be Brave paper. The yellow matting really helps to link the layout with the color of her dress.

I then used a Bella BLVD cut-file from the Silhouette shop to create my title. With my Cricut I was able to add an offset layer underneath the title which I cut-out of the Bella Besties Heart and Ombre in Pink. The main cut-out was made out of plain white cardstock but I re-cut the center letter from the Ombre side of the Yellow Heart and Ombre paper. This helped to repeat again the yellow from the dress.

For my background I settled on the green Heart and Ombre paper. I felt that it was best fitting for the rose to rest on. If you see my process video though you will know that this was not my first choice and after sleeping on my original idea this was changed to this beautiful green!

The finishing touch came in the shape of some ladybirds as well as some flowers to create cluster around the rose and the photograph. A few extra words to add to my title and I was happy with the final result! The date stamped above the photographs balanced the only bit of black in the shape of my subtitle.

And there it is! We are far away from a baby or toddler layout and yet I was able to use several elements from the Tiny Tots 2.0 collection. I love to use the colours of the papers to pull the story in a different direction than first intended!

Fireworks & Freedom | Laura Alberts

Hello friends! Welcome to a fun Fireworks & Freedom layout featuring my adorable twins in a 4th of July parade of their own making. My girls piled into a wagon and cruised around the backyard.

Using a large title mixed between a large Ciao Chip 'Parade' with Aria puffy alphas, the focus is on my larger 4x4 inch photo of my twins' adorable stars and stripes outfits. The banner underneath is a combination of a Ciao Chip and a cut apart banner from the Borders patterned paper from Fireworks & Freedom.

The photo strip I created on the right side of the layout is a layer of Bella Besties in Blueberry, then a layer of Borders from Fireworks & Freedom. I added three 2x2 photos and two 2x2 cardstock squares to fill the photo strip. On the two cardstock squares I created clusters with ephemera icons and words and puffy stickers for a bit of fun!

One of my favorite ways to make my photos and layers pop is to hand draw borders along the perimeter. It gives the impression of depth and really makes them stand out.

To finish off this layout, I used the Juicy Fruits patterned paper to add a bright border around the outside perimeter.
