Hello Bella Blvd Friends! So happy to be here with Dorymar to share how we are using Fa La La and Bella Besties in our Winter themed projects with you today. I'm using my Traveler's Notebook sized Life Crafted album for this project. I pulled lots of blues, a little aqua, green, and even lavender to give me the cool Winter colors. From Fa La La pattern papers I pulled Christmas Village and All I want for Christmas, and from Bella Besties I pulled Blueberry, Ice, Gulf, and Plum. To create a Winter texture to my background, I used the Geometric Hexagon background cut file from white cardstock. I focused on backing the background along one row of Hexagons using the pattern papers I selected with an ombre feel, but adding a pop of the green pattern paper in the center of each one. For my title, I couldn't resist using the Huddle Up cut file to go with our New Year's family walk. To make my title pop more against the background, I backed it and trimmed it to fit against the Plum Bella Besties Ombre side.
For my journaling, I typed on white cardstock and trimmed it to put at the bottom to flow with the design. Then to finish this, I continued pulling cool Winter colors from Aria Alphabet Stickers in Blueberry, Florence Alphabet Stickers in Plum, Fa La La Chipboard, Die Cuts and Bella Pops, Snow Designer Washi, Pennants Shapes, and Puffy Star Stickers in Cotton Candy.
Even though it rarely snows and looks more like Fall where I live in the Winter time, you can still create Winter themed projects by pulling cool Winter colors. Hope you give this a try in your next Winter project!
it's Lisa back on the blog and today I'm sharing a winter layout, I created using the Falala collection and Bella Besties.
To start, I went through the Fa La La collection and gathered EVERYTHING that could be used in a winter layout. So everything blue and pink and all the elements that had nothing green or Christmas-like. I had some aqua, pink, blue and peach trees, hearts, snowflakes and some cute penguins and snowmen. I really love this color-combo... it's so bright and fresh.
For my background, I absolutely wanted to use the patterned papers from the collection and some matching Bella Besties papers. I chose the ones that I wanted, creating this ombre kinda look. So I went from light pink to dark pink and then from aqua to dark blue and light blue. I ripped an irregular strip from all of the papers, paying attention to have this white border. Then I placed all of the strips on my white cardstock to see how it would look. I loved it.
I then attached all of the papers, overlapping them and I machine-stitched every strip before attaching the next one. Then I bent up the edges of each strip.
I put some gesso on my layout, concentrating on the middle and then I used my acrylic inks to put some matching paint underneath each strip, to create some texture and different tones of color.
See the layers and texture on this...? IN LOVE! :)
The picture that I used, is one I took the day before. We had the first snow on that day and I used the occasion to quickly go out and take some shots with the snow in the background and on my hair.
I matted it with white paper and then some layers of vellum.
Then came the fun part... placing all of the cute embellishments on the layout. I placed everything in a fun, but organized way, creating this kind of wavy shape, to keep the whole thing balanced and leaving some space for the title.
For the title, I used the puffy Aria alphas and didn't come up with something better than "Catching snowflakes"... I'm really not very creative when it comes to titles... LOL! :)
I really really like how this layout turned out and I hope you like it too. You know, you don't need to have a scrapbooking collection for every occasion or every season. You just need to find the right papers and colors to match your theme :)
Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout for Cut Outs week! Have you had a chance to create with these yet? They are awesome. If you don't own a die cutting machine or if you do and are simply short on time or don't want to fuss with the process, these Cut Outs are perfect! They come to you precut and ready for any project. They now even come with instructions and templates which makes creating with them even easier. There are quite a few different designs that you can find here. I'll have a process video that is at the end of this post so please make sure and check it out! Here's my layout:
For this layout, I chose the Wonderland Cut Outs because they were perfect for the photos that I wanted to document. We ended up getting a pool put in and it happened to be completed (electrical and heating need to still be hooked up) the day before Christmas. After the boys opened up their presents on Christmas Day, they had a wild idea of jumping in the pool even thought it was freezing. It was the best moment and it was something I wanted to document for sure. We have worked so hard to get the pool and have saved and planned for 2 years so this was very exciting and cold of course lol.
I used the Fa La La collection and backed the Cut Outs using the patterned papers in blues, pinks and reds. I popped them up on foam tape and created somewhat of a square design by having the snowflake sections frame everything. Before adhering the pieces down, I did some mixed media on a piece of white cardstock using some Shimmerz Paints from my stash.
After my background was dry, I went ahead and adhered everything down including my photos. I matted them using a piece of the Blueberry Freehand Graph and Dot 6x6 patterned paper. I love the pop of the darker blue. I also added a pink scalloped border sticker from the Cardstock Sticker sheet and a white Festive Cute Clip to the top photo.
Next, I went through the Ephemera Icons and layered up a few pieces around my page. I also pulled the adorable Snowmen Bella Pops and thought they were perfect since it was a cold, wintery day!
Then, I added a few bits of tangled thread using the same color scheme around the page and also pulled in some of the matte enamel stickers as well. They really look like candy buttons!
Next, I got out the Ciao Chip chipboard stickers and adhered the snowflakes around my page.
I added onto the title using the White Aria Alpha stickers and also used the Florence Alphas in Blueberry to add the date. Lastly, I took a few white Epoxy hearts and added some into my embellishment clusters. For my journaling, I used a skinny Posca paint pen and didn't realize that the ink would still be pretty thick. I think I'll stick with my normal journaling pens next time!
One last shot of the layout:
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I had so much fun with this layout and I hope that I've inspired you to create or even go and purchase some Cut Outs! They really are super convenient and so nice to have on hand. The possibilities are endless and you get multiple Cut Outs in each package, so you'd be able to create a few projects with just one. Thanks again and I'll see you in my next post!

Good day everyone! On today's layout I used the kitty-themed Chloe collection but just pulled out all of the general themed pieces to create a non-themed layout. I also mixed in some of the timeless and fabulous Bella Besties papers and embellishments!
I usually document all of the fun and good things about life, but the turning of the new year left me reflecting on how 2020 was kind of tough and changed me as a person. It felt SO GOOD to document this part of life as well. I love how this layout turned out!
Here I mixed general papers from the Chloe collection and some of the coordinating Bella Besties Hearts and Ombre patterned papers to create my own fun embellishments using hexagon and star shaped punch tools! I finished off each star with puffy stickers from the Bella Besties Trinkets Puffy Sticker Sheets! I also embellished the around the page with adorable Bella Blvd Heart Hugs, which are 3 dimensional corrugated cardboard stickers. I love the texture they add to my page!
My new favorite alphabet stickers have to be the awesome Aria Puffy Alphabet Stickers! Here I used the Ice and Punch Aria Alphas for the title. I used the Florence Number Stickers to finish off the title with 2021. All of Bella Blvds collections and Bella Besties papers and embellishments mix and match so well, wouldn't you say?!
What is your favorite Bella Blvd Bestie? Is it the Hearts & Ombre Patterned Papers or the Puffy Stickers? There are so many great choices, I can't pick just one! I had so much fun mixing them with the Chloe collection to create this fun and colorful layout! I hope you like it as much as I do!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of the amazing Bella Besties and the Chloe collection to document a page about your self! Have a great day everyone!

We are all looking forward to the end of 2020 and ready for a fresh start with 2021. Even though the turn of the new year won't bring about all the change we want to see with leaving the bad of 2020 behind, we can still look forward to how and what we can do to make ourselves better. For me it is definitely my health. I am stronger, flexible, and energetic because of the promises I make to myself and having a plan and keeping that commitment in my mind helps. This 2021 project uses a mix of Hearts & Ombre and Fa La La.
I started by applying a few drops of pink, yellow and green watercolors on a non-stick mat with water, then smooched the white cardstock into it to make my background. Next, I used a combination of colors from the Aria Puffy Alphas and the Florence stickers to create 2021. I layered and stitched strips of the Hearts & Ombre papers at angles and trimmed in place at the top and bottom. Then filled in white Florence Alphabet Stickers, die cuts, and Bella Pops.
For the right side, I printed and trimmed a photo with a lot of white space to add my rules I want to keep for 2021 to keep myself healthy. Our Winters look more like Fall, either season is a time for old to pass and new to come. I die cut a pocket and used the Hearts & Ombre Bell Paper for my journaling.
I stitched a Fa La La tab die cut to the top of it, and added more die cuts to the vellum envelope to finish.
Hope this inspires you to create a winter or a New year project using the Hearts & Ombre and Fa La La collections! Happy New Year Bella Blvd Friends!
Hey crafty friends! Merry Christmas Eve!! I hope you all are having a safe and happy Holiday season! It's Brianna here today sharing a fun Christmas layout using the amazing Cut-Outs and the new Fa La La collection! I'll have a link to my process video down below, towards the end of this post. I'd love it if you checked it out! Here's my full layout, I had so much fun creating it.
It's Cut Outs week over here at Bella Blvd and if you're not familiar with our Cut-Outs, they are pre-cut cut files! They even include instructions and templates on how to back them! So if you don't own a die cutting machine or if you do and you're short on time or just don't want to fuss with the process, these are perfect to have on hand! Bella offers a wide variety of Cut-Outs so you'll be able to find one for all types of themes. For my layout today, I used the Christmas one and backed it using a mix of patterned papers from the Fa La La collection.
Since the cut file is a title, the letters were super simple to trace and cut. I ended up using the following papers to back each letter with: Deck The Halls, All I Want For Christmas, Dear Santa, Daily Details, Hot Chocolate Weather, Christmas Village and Candy Striper. I made sure to spread the colors/patterns out when I backed the Cut-Out so that it would look and flow nicely. The colors and patterns are so pretty and fun!
I popped the entire Cut-Out on foam tape and set it aside to work on my background. I wanted the Cut-Out and embellishments to pop off of the page so I went with a solid white cardstock as the base for my layout. I did however, want a little bit of color added to it. So I ran the cardstock through my sewing machine several times, using thread that matched the collection. I sewed diagonal lines across the page creating a fun texture! It was simple and it packs such a big punch.
Next, I matted my photo with some scraps of the patterned papers I used to back the Cut-Out with and tucked in a Ciao Chip chipboard sticker underneath those layers. I adhered it all down and pulled out some of the Ephemera Icons from the collection. I added a group of trees right under my photo and added the cutest Santa Bella Pop right next to it.
Since my Cut-Out was going to be my title, I decided to add onto it using the Aria Alphas in Guacamole, Peep, McIntosh and Bell Pepper. The letters snuggled perfectly under that tree ephemera piece.
Next, I added a few additional Ephemera Icons pieces around the page creating little clusters. I also pulled out the Matte Enamels Festive Mix and Epoxy Wonderland Stickers and sprinkled those around my page as well.
Here's another cute cluster:
I love the look of the thread underneath the Cut-Out.
I had so much fun creating this layout! Using the Cut-Out for this page really did a lot of the work for me. I was able to create this layout pretty quickly and it was so convenient. Here's one more photo:
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that I've inspired you in some way today and if you haven't had a chance to pick up some of these Cut-Outs, you totally should! They are awesome!

it's Lisa back on blog and today I'm sharing another cute layout, using the wonderful Fa La La collection.
The assignment for this week, was to use the Christmas collection, combined with one of the Bella Cut-Outs. I chose this CHRISTMAS one, which I really, really like. In that same package, you get two cute mistletoe cut files. I also used those and I think they turned out so cute!
To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose some that I wanted to use to back my Cut Outs. I really like the color combo in this collection, adding pink and light blue to the traditional red and green.
For my background, I used a plain white cardstock sheet and, using a baby wipe, I created a whole bunch of different sized circles with gelatos. Then, I splattered white paint on top.
I backed my photo using different scraps of patterned paper and added red photo corners from the sticker sheet.
I adhered my Cut Out to the background, using foam squares and then added the photo next to it. I also added the mistletoe pieces. I used a piece of a scalloped border sticker behind the right side of the photo. I LOOOVE scalloped borders! :)
The Cut Out is already a title by itself, but I wanted to add to it. So I used the amazing Aria Puffy Alphas in Punch, and Cotton Candy, to write the word "preparations" on top of the photo.
Then, to finish the layout and add some more cute details, I used some ephemera pieces, enamel stars and tangled thread.
This layout came together so easy and turned out so cute. I really recommend using the Cut Outs and the new Fa La La collection. It makes the whole process so easy and you can't go wrong with the cool color combo and sweet embellishments in the collection.
MERRY CHRISTMAS (or whatever you're celebrating :) and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!! :)
Merry Christmas fromScrapbook.com Friends! I am joining many talented designers as we come together with Scrapbook.com sharing videos of Holiday Inspiration. My project will be a holiday favorite to continue to build on, and it uses the Blush Heidi Swapp Rolodex and the wonderful new Bella Blvd FaLaLa Collection using old family photos. The reason I chose this project is because both sets of our parents are gone, and I realize how important it is to help my daughter to remember her grandparents.
Sharing all the photos here and the video on the Scrapbook.com YouTube Channel here with more inspiration from guests for Scrapbook.com here.
Hello Bella Blvd friends! And Hello to the Holidays and a new Mood Board. This Mood board has some wonderful non-traditional colors and modern ideas for decorating for the holidays and I took that inspiration and created a fun, festive traveler's notebook spread.
Gaining inspiration from the paper balls and the trees, I first hand traced a triangle to cut out a 'tree' from the background. My background is a peach colored cardstock that is also inspired by the colors from the Mood board. I backed the 'tree' with kraft cardstock, and then punch 3/4" circles from the Fa La La collection, stitching two together then adhering to my cut out tree. To add more color to my peach cardstock background, I trimmed at an angle the pink and polka side of the Borders Fa La La pattern paper to cover areas of the background with the peach still peeking through. Then I placed my photo, title, die cut trees, washi tape, stickers from the Fa La La collection, and the matte enamels to finish.
My right side, I have my journaling with a continuation of my title using a variety of colors of the Aria Puffy Alphas, picking up that inspiration from the Mood Board. I had one 3/4" punched circle left, and it showed a perfect little bit of Santa, so I placed him and a border sticker at the top to bring focus to the journaling, and then another sticker, die cuts, and chipboard at the bottom.
Always love getting inspired by the Mood Boards and I hope you do as well! Find time to create this holiday season!
it's Lisa back on the blog and I'm really excited to share my first layout using the new Falala collection. :)
The assignment this week was to use the Falala collection combined with the Hearts&Ombré Bella Besties. As I already said in previous posts, I LOVE the new Besties. I need hearts on every layout and the ombre papers are AMAZING to use as backgrounds!!!
So to start, I went through the papers from the Falala collection. The striped one immediately caught my eye, I just love papers like that. I had a hard time though, deciding if I wanted to use it as a background or to create my reindeer with... :) The collection has this cute little reindeer and I was inspired to recreate it on a larger scale. I finally went with using the paper for the reindeer and I think it turned out really cool.
I drew my deer onto the paper, cut it out and adhered it to white paper to create that white border around, that I like so much. Since I wasn't really in the mood for hand-stitching, I used a dauber and my Distress Oxides to add a faded border around my dear and then traced a black scribbly line all around the different parts.
To add more interest to my reindeer, I added chipboard flowers from the Ciao Chip sticker sheet on its head and added some tangled thread in matching colors behind each flower. I also placed an enamel dot in each of the centers. The enamel dots were also great to create the illusion of twinkly lights on the deer's antlers. :)
Before adhering my deer to the background, I chose one of the green and pink Bella Besties papers. I cut them in the middle with an angle and attached them to one another. Then I did some mixed media. Using my finger, I painted white circles in different sizes, going from the center to the sides of the paper. Then I did the same with pink and green paint. To finish, I splattered white paint all around... as always... :) I think the background looks very cool. I enjoy creating these bokeh kind of backgrounds very much lately!!
When the background was dry, I attached my deer and also the photo that I matted with some scraps of patterned paper, to it. The photo is one I took six years ago, when we spent Christmas in Honolulu. :)
For my title, I used four different fonts and alphas. "Merry" is an enamel sticker, "Christmas" is from the Ciao Chip sticker sheet, "in" is from the collections's cardstock sticker sheet and "Hawaii", I wrote using the Aria puffy alphas. I really like how it turned out.:)
To finish, I added some enamel stars, a Christmas tree Bella-Pop, a Cute Clips bow and some stickers.
I hope you like that layout and are inspired to create something super cute to document your Christmas days or just some amazing Winter or family days.
