Hi everyone! It's my first layout using the super cool new Teen Vibe Caitlyn collection and again I decided to think outside of the box and use it in a less-teenified way! I was actually inspired by all the cosmetic and makeup elements that are part of the collection so decided to document my first career which was in Beauty Therapy and the skincare industry.
I knew I had to feature that Kissy Lips paper so gutted it to leave a 1" frame, then stuck a 10½" white card square to that, with the edges distressed of course! Then I built up six different pink and red patterned paper layers to go behind my two photos and stuck them all down to the centre of the white card.
I mounted my two photos using the other side of the Kissy Lips paper as it was black and thought this would help them pop from the background.
Next was to create the embellishment cluster which I wanted to run horizontally along the bottom of my photos. I used flowers and cosmetic elements from the Ephemera Icons, along with some Puffy Stickers and Epoxy Stickers. And I just had to use that fun Bella-pops Sticker set of the perfume bottle and lipstick!
I kept my title simple using 'memories' from the Ephemera Words which I raised on foam pads, and then added my journaling below that. Now, I actually ran out of room for it so added a tag from the Ephemera Words which I just tucked behind my photos and this allowed me to finish off the journaling. Note to self next time.... draw in longer lines to journal on!
