Hello sweet Bella friends, Gloria Parra here today with a new layout featuring the super fun and cute collection “Merry Little Christmas”, which I’m adoring! The colors, the critters and all the fun ornaments and floral are too cute and perfect, I cant get enough of them!
For this layout I first started with the dark teal plaid “Filled with Joy” patterned paper for my base. I then cut a white cardstock at 11x11” and used a light pink cardstock for a second mat that I adhered after attaching my ornaments to the back of the white cardstock.
The idea I had for this layout was to have ornaments hanging from twine from the top. Before that, I ripped a 4,5” patterned paper that looked like twinkling stars and lights on the sky and adhered to the top of my white cardstock.
I used some light pink die ink to add some color to my white cardstock using a blending brush add some mixed media to my background. I love the soft touch this add to the layout
I then matted my two 3x4” photos with some read and light teal patterned paper and placed it in the middle of my twinkling lights patterned paper at the top. Adding a little tab on top of one of the photos.
I then chose all the ornaments for the ephemera pack and fussy cut a couple others from the ornament patterned paper in this collection (that paper is one of my favorites).I then punched a small hole to all my ornament to be able to add twine to them. I then arranged all my beautiful ornaments below my photo using foam adhesive.
I used red and pink to hang my ornaments and attached the twine to the back of the white cardstock, that way they look like they are hanging from the top. I then adhered my white cardstock on top of the light pink and adhered it to my base teal paper.
Finally, for my title I used a JOY word ephemera and added my typed journaling strips under my title. I finished my layout adding some word phrases to some ornaments and added some puffy flower stickers to my hanging twine.
I hope you like this layout as much as I did, it is one of my favorites this year and it was so much fun to create it! I hope you feel inspired to create and to check this collection out, is is just too cute!
