Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Lake Life Card Day

Hi Bella friends,

Today I want to share with you some cards I made using the new Lake Life collection. I love the outdoors and this collection has so many cute and fun icons and a color palette I really love.

I made a card for any occasion and a couple of birthday cards. I have a friend who loves fishing so though this card would be perfect for his birthday. I put a birthday sentiment on the inside of the card.

I created this card by using a sunburst pattern with a range of the gorgeous patterned papers from the collection. I added the daisies from the icons pack and the sentiment is from the words ephemera pack. I finished it with a couple of large enamel dots and some white ink splatters. Quite a busy card but I think the finished product is fun!

For this birthday card I started by running the yellow paper and white card stock through my die cutter to give the little stitching detail. I just love the look that gives. Then I made a little scene using the trees and reeds from the icons pack and added a few flowers up the top with epoxy stickers for detail. I added the sentiment relax and enjoy and stamped the birthday message on the blue wave paper to coordinate with the colors in the card.

This last card was my favorite to create as I had a specific person in mind while I was designing it. I used the awesome fish Bella Pops (called Good catch) for this card to create a fun fishing scene. I used the wave pieces from the icons pack and some of the puffy and epoxy stickers to make all the splashes. Then I placed the Bella Pop fish, as if hanging from a fishing line, and finished with the cute sentiment 'Fun times at the lake'. I added the 'Keep it reel' stamp from my stash. Finally I added some distress ink splashes at the bottom of the card to complete the look.

I really enjoyed creating these cards and hope they give you some ideas to re-create!
