Hi Friends, I'm excited to share my first layout on the Bella Blog! Today I am using the fun new collection, Cap & Gown. I chose a sweet picture of my daughter for her Pre-K graduation. I started with a stenciled background using Distress Oxide ink in the color Salty Ocean. And added some ink splatters using a Vicki Boutin watercolor pen in the color Blueberry Pie to tie in with the background color of my picture. Next, I made a background grid using the gorgeous patterned paper from the collection and machine stitched around the edges for texture. I centered my photo and popped it up on some craft foam for more dimension.
Then I created a fun banner with the stars from the Ephemera Icons pack to create interest at the bottom of the page. And sprinkled some extra puffy sticker stars behind the banner.
Then I added the fun title and my journaling to the right of the page.
I finished off the page by adding the "Grad" banner and a few Ciao Chip pieces. Finally I added the super fun cap and scroll Bella Pops.
This is such a versatile collection and I hope you get a chance to play with it soon! It is easy to create this simple grid design and thanks for stopping by today.
