Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Our Love Song | Borders & Daily Details

Hi friends! I hope you have been loving all the new layouts showcasing the Our Love Song collection that Bella Blvd released. I know I've personally had so many people tell me how excited they are for this new collection. And I am just as excited as they are to sit down and show you my second layout. This week we are showing the collection with an emphasis on the Borders and/or Daily Details 12" x 12" papers. The Borders paper is filled with several strips of that can but cut up and used a variety of ways. Some have sayings on them and others are filled with great patterns. I chose to showcase as many of them as I could get on the layout. Here it is:

I managed to get seven of the borders on my layout! I started by cutting out the strips and then arranging them in a cross pattern on my white cardstock to the left side of my paper. I also added a black scallop border that I created myself with black cardstock. The giant "I LOVE YOU FOREVER" has to be my favorite one of the bunch and works perfectly as my title.

I backed my photo with white cardstock and then added another layer with the black and white grid paper called Soundtrack. Before adding my photo to the layout, I stamped several black clusters of plus signs around the layout. With such a colorful collection, I like to balance out the bright colors with black which I can achieve through stamping and doodling. Next, I added the photo to the layout with foam tape. The fact that this collection has roller skates makes my heart so happy!

I added all the pizzaz to the layout with those bright colored zig zag ephemera. The design is perfectly reminiscent of the 80's! You can find them in the Ephemera Icons pack. That's where I also got the set of roller skates and boom box. I added some more tiny details (hearts, lightening bolts, and musical notes) from some of the Bella-pops sets and enamel stickers.

I finished the layout by journaling the details from the photo.
