Hello friends! It's Ashley Neu back for the Bella Blvd Creative Team to share my next project. This week, we are continue to use the North Pole collection. Double page layouts are one of my favorite ways to document several photos. For my layout, I was inspired by a sketch from Scrapbook Generation. I've used 8 photos across the 2 pages spread and the photos I am documenting are of my girls after we got a bit of snow and they managed to make a snowman, nevertheless.
To begin the layout, I adhered 2- 12x9.5 pattered papers across both white cardstock backgrounds. I used the Rudolph paper to create this nice foundation. Next, I cut strips out of the patterned papers You Warm My Heart, The Perfect Tree, Tree Farm, Snow Day and Jammies and notched out a banner on either ends of those strips. These banner strips were adhered to the left layout. I adhered my photos across both layouts- using 5- 4x4s and 1- 4x6. I also used the December 25 patterned paper to adhere strips across the top and bottom of my photos. This gives a nice border between all of the patterns!
To create a title, I used the Ephemera Words pack to create "Snow Fun" just under my photos. I also added 2- 2x2 photos next to the title. I wanted to add some stitching on the banner pieces so I grabbed some embroidery floss and used tone-on-tone colors to stitch down 7 of the banner strips.
To embellish, I used the Ciao Chip, Ephemera Icons and a snowflake punch in my stash to create 3 clusters across the double page layout. I added a vertical 'family' piece next to the 2- 2x2 photos as well as a small chipboard snowflake. On the right layout, it needed to create 2 clusters as it was pretty bare with only patterned papers. I created one cluster below the photos using a 'Oh What Fun' ephemera piece, a large snowflake chipboard piece and a punched snowflake. The cluster on top of the photos consisted of a snowman snow globe ephemera piece, a chipboard cloud and snowflakes.
Have you ever created a double page layout? They are super fun and addicting! They give so much room to document many photos as well as the embellishments! Give it a try! Hope you have a wonderful day and I'll catch you next time.
