Hi friends! It’s Rachel and I’m here to show you one more take on the Spell On You collection along with some Bella Besties paper. October almost seemed to fly by and we had so much fun enjoying the many activities that the month brings. One thing we love to do is visit the zoo and see all of their fun Halloween decorations. Today, I’m showing you a super fun layout I made with some of the photos I took.
I started with a piece of white 12” x 12” cardstock. I took out my Milled Lavender Distress Oxide pad and created a quick background by dragging the pad down the paper. I repeated it several times to get a nice light purple background. Milled Lavender compliments this collection really well.
I set that aside to dry and pulled out my the Bella Besties Dot & Graph papers. I chose three colors – Plum, Pickle Juice, and Guacamole to create my giant title which would be the focus of the layout. I cut the title “Boo at the Zoo” out with one of my favorite cut files from Paper Issues. You can find it for free here. I also cut out my two photos to be O’s in the title. On the letters, I stamped some stitches and added some other doodling before adding them to the layout.
I secured them to the layout with foam tape. Next it was time to pile on the embellishments. I chose some of my favorites from the Ciao Chip. The haunted houses are just perfect. My boys love the ghost and pumpkins. I used a few pieces from the Ephemera Icons set as well.
To finish the layout, I stamped some stars around the layout and then added the date. I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the great ways we have used this collection over the last month. Here’s a list of all the supplies I used in today’s layout:
