Hi Friends! Welcome back to another Spell on You layout featuring a Bella Besties as a background! I'm really enjoying stepping outside of the theme with this collection and seeing how truly versatile it is! This layout uses a lot of the star embellishments from Spell on You, as well as some punched stars from scraps!
To start this layout, I used the B-side of Happy Halloween and Hocus Pocus to create a picture in picture effect on my background. The strips at the top and bottom are black chevron Clear Cuts. The larger stars are stamps from Diana Wakely that I stamped onto white cardstock and cut out. Then, I punched out a bunch of stars from scraps of the Spell on You patterned papers in a variety of sizes.
To really make the photos pop, I tucked the larger, stamped stars behind my photos and then layered punched stars on top. I grouped the rest of the stars into embellishment clusters around the page and added a number of ephemera, epoxy, and sticker stars on top for a dynamic look!
My title is from the Spell on You Doohickey sticker sheet. The alphas spell out 'Nailed it', which seemed perfect for a nail salon visit! I added a banner underneath that was in context is pretty funny. This layout didn't need a ton of journaling added on, so I didn't leave a spot for it.
The finishing touch was to add a bit of gold splatter around the page, which pops beautifully on a dark background like this! I love all of the tiny details that I was able to add without using a ton of different types of embellishments. Paper scraps are your friend!
I hope this layout inspires you to look at your paper scraps and make the most of them! A small punch in star or heart shape is a versatile way to stretch your embellishments to their fullest capacity!
