Hello Friends! Laura Alberts here again with the brand new School is Cool collection! Super excited to dive into this one with photos of my oldest son on the first day of school. This stunning mix of colors made scrapping his vivid photos a breeze. I started with the Supply List patterned paper and added strips from the Borders patterned paper to make my background.
Layering one of the Cut-Outs with the School Supplies and Supply List patterned papers created a fun pop of color behind my photos. I particularly loved this paper airplane ephemera piece from the icons pack! It helped add a bit of whimsy to this Cut-Out.
With a chipboard title from the Ciao Chip, combined with acrylic stars and primary epoxies, this cluster underneath my photos was simple, but still dynamic! I really love how the epoxy stars added a bit of flair to my journaling lines.
Mixing together chipboard icons from the Ciao Chip, ephemera icons, epoxies, and acrylics creates a fun cluster that has both dimension and a playful feel to it. I loved mixing the variety of embellishment types on this layout! As a finishing touch, I added Nuvo and gold ink spray for a splash of fun.
I hope this layout inspires you to explore a mix of embellishments in your clusters! It's such a fun technique for adding interest and whimsy to your layouts!
