Hi friends,
Inessa on the blog today, sharing my take on the mood board. I love the colors and the vibe and want to show you what elements I carried over to my layout.
Here's the side by side of the moodboard and my layout. I picked multiple elements to create with: the watercolor feel, the rainbow, the color scheme, and the quote "feeling that sun in my face". I chose to work with the Squeeze the Day collection and a few Ciao Chip pieces from Home Sweet Home.
To build the rainbow, I hand cut the paper strips from each of the following papers from the bottom left corner (all B sides): Fruity Hearts, Fruit Salad, Borders, So Berry Sweet, I Pick You. Approximating how much space I wanted between each color, I cut an arch and then distressed the edges of each paper piece. This gives the rainbow a whimsical feel. I used distress inks in various colors to watercolor the background of where my paper strips would go before adhering them to the white cardstock using foam dots.
With the rainbow in place, I adhered my 4x6 photo and then added the title and embellishments. The title is spelled out using the Aria Puffy Stickers in Orange.
The clouds and sun are from Ciao Chip from Squeeze The Day and Home Sweet Home. The acrylic rainbow is from the Rainbows Acrylic Shapes pack. I then added tags and tabs from the Ephemera Icons pack and a row of hearts from the Follow the Rainbow bella-pops.
All in all, I enjoyed creating this and would love to see your take on the moodboard. Tag me on Instagram or Facebook with your creation @paperandbling.
Happy creating and see you next time!
Inessa
