Nathalie with you today to kick off YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE & BELLA BESTIES collections week. I love the colors and designs of You Are My Sunshine, combine it with the Ombre Bella Besties, and you can pretty much document any memory. This year, I am working on notebooks and smaller format for my documenting; so, today I am sharing a new entry in my Gratitude Journal
I had a large photo to work with. So, I balanced it with a large title. I used two sets of Alpha Dies to create my title work from both the collections.
I wanted to follow the colors order as in the sky in the photo ( I chose blue instead of the mauve tone) when cutting the letters for my title. I emphasized the focus of the layout by using Caps for the word. I simply glued them to onto the simple b sides of You Are My Sunshine collection,
I want the title to feature nicely on the page, that meant simple embellishing after... I added just a few extra details in a color blocking fashion, that means that I chose the colors of the embellishments to match the colors of the letters.
For the other side of the spread, I shuffled the the strips of the patterned paper, so that they match the colors in the photos. Since the photo is large, I had space to add a bit of interest in a small cluster at the top of the photo. I had extra negative space, so I was able to use the time of the photo as an extra embellishment/ subtitle on this page
