Good Wednesday morning, Bella friends!
This is Melissa with you all today and I'm sharing a new project for our week of My Candy Girl and Hearts & Ombre collections.
I'm a huge fan of layers and texture on my projects, as I'm sure you probably all have seen over the course of the last year! To start this project, I layered a piece of Kraft cardstock over the pink pattern paper from the My Candy Girl collection. I then layered a piece of the Hearts & Ombre paper on top of the Kraft. I LOVE that ombre paper! Once these papers were all stitched down, I used the cut-out that said "Sweet Girl" and backed each letter with a different pattern paper. I had a great portrait of my niece that I wanted to use on this project and printed out two of the same picture sized at about 2.5"x3.5". I layered some pattern paper and the photos together and adhered this down in the upper right quadrant of my layout.
I stacked my cut-out title below the photos and used foam dots to give some dimension to my project and to really let that great title POP! I used a couple of strips of stickers from the My Candy Girl Doohickey sticker sheet and layered them below my title and above my photos and then did some machine stitching on top of them for some texture.
Lastly, I used some fun die-cuts from the My Candy Girl Ephemera pack and placed them around my layout and used some more stickers, epoxy hearts, and Bella pops to further embellish. My journaling was typed out and placed next to the title.
I loved how this project turned out! It's girly, pink, unicorns, hearts....all the stuff that my niece is so into at this very moment! Also, if you look at the example layout on the front of the packaging for the Sweet Girl cut-outs, you'll notice that I actually lifted Stephanie's layout :-) I loved the design!
