Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Designer's Choice Week- Day 6

It's Tarrah back with you and this week on the Bella Blvd team we had a free choice to use whatever we wanted! I chose to use the stunning You Are My Sunshine collection documenting a photo of myself on my cool pink kayak. It's Summer here in Australia so I have lots of summer photos to document! I absolutely LOVE how my pink kayak matches the pink in this collection! You can see how by adding pink in 2 other places on my page, I have created a visual triangle that is pleasing to the eye.

I decided to pull out the gorgeous summer title from the Summer Fun Cut Outs and chose lots of the gorgeous patterned papers from the You Are My Sunshine collection to back it with. Once I had it all backed, I added craft foam underneath the Cut-Out and adhered it to the 'B' side of the Daily Details paper. I then trimmed down this paper and backed it onto the Rise and Shine paper. At the top, I added a scalloped border sticker in the rainbow stripes from the Doohickey Cardstock stickers. I placed my photo to the right of the Cut-Out, adhering this with craft foam also. In the top right corner of my photo, I placed the small sun from the Bike Ride Bella Pop.

Next it was time to embellish and tell my story, I decided to take embellishments and place them in a tone on tone effect on my layout. I used lots of different embellishments including the Fly Away Bella Pop, ephemera icons, puffy stickers, Doohickey cardstock stickers and chipboard stickers.
