Welcome to Day 2 of Let Us Adore Him Week - with a sketchy twist! I love sketch weeks because I have so much fun using them as inspiration . And this week I also loved working with the Let Us Adore Him collection! Here is this week's awesome sketch again!
I used the sketch as a basic jumping off point for my layout. I loved the look of the frame and the color block strips. I was intrigued with the Bella Blvd Invisibles Calendar and I thought it would be great to use here. It gives me the frame - even though it's a different shape than the sketch, that's totally fine! It also gives me the grid to easily work with creating my own color block design! Sketches are just a starting point - no need to stress about making your project exactly how the sketch looks! :)
Here I documented photos of last year's Christmas where we took pics of ourselves with Buddy the Elf. These pics still crack me up! I then embellished the photos with Let Us Adore Him chipboard stickers, Ephemera pieces, and Doohickey Stickers! Isn't that little donkey chipboard sticker just THE CUTEST?!
For the color block strips, I used 8 inches paper strips and cut them down to 1 1/4 inch thick. I then layered them to create my own little color block design element. I alternated between the yellow, red, green, and mini striped patterned papers here. I love how it turned out!
I then used the December and 25 chipboard stickers to create the title. I embellished it with a scalloped Doohickey sticker, chipboard presents, and an Ephemera floral piece!
I absolutely love the multicolored tree (Rebirth) patterned paper and so I had to use it for the background paper! And I love how festive and colorful this collection is! What is your favorite part about the Let Us Adore Him line?!
