Mood Board Fall Week Day 4 | Karlla Dauer

Hello Bella Blvd Friends.

Karlla Here and I'm so happy to share a new layout with you!

This week is from the Mood Board, and I love playing with it.

Makes our creativity work.

I loved the color combination of this mood board,

so I took advantage of the Bella Besties Collection to make these beautiful and colorful leaves.

You can find this Cut File on the Silhouette Design website as "LEAVES" from Bella Blvd.

To highlight the colors of the entire project, I chose to use the "Oyster Hearts & Ombré Bella Besties".

I LOVED!

 

I made the same title on both ends of the layout using "Orange Florence Alphabet Stickers"

"Peep Florence Alphabet Stickers" and "Aria Alpha - Gulf".

I added some details with the hearts "Besties Collection - Puffy Stickers" matching the colors of the leaves.

To finish and make the project delicate, I splashed white acrylic paint.

I loved the delicacy of this layout, and I hope you like it too.

Mood Board Week Day 3 | Sarah

Happy Wednesday, Bella friends. I can't believe we are already at the end of September. How is it that October is just around the corner?! Are you ready for those cool, crisp autumn days?! I know I am, hehe! Anyway, Sarah (@redoaklines) here today on the blog, and I'm continuing Mood Board week!

Have you seen this gorgeous mood board?

 

Check out the photo of the aerial view of the paint cans in the second row. I loved the circles lined up and the color combination.

Here's how I was inspired:

 

Who would have though that a simple circle punch could do the trick for this design? I just punched out a bunch of circles from coordinating papers from the My Candy Girl collection and from Bella Bestie paper packs, and then I lined them up!

 

Next, I used a Bella cut file called "Fall Leaves Outline", which can be found here. Did you know that Bella offers an assortment of cut files in the Silhouette store?! If you haven't already, make sure to check it out; you won't be disappointed. Anyway, I wanted to add a touch of autumn to my layout via these fun leave cut outs.

 

 

Also, did you know Bella has a ton of Acrylic words that work perfectly for adding a title to your layout? I love using them on lots of my projects! This "Gratitude" one went well here, so I layered it right on top of my circles.

 

 

Lastly, I added some coordinating puffy trinket stickers to some of my circles to make my layout stand out more. I love that the trinkets come with flowers, hearts, stars, and even arrows. So many options to choose from! I went with a handful of flowers and hearts.

Fall Mood Board Week by Tarrah

Hi creative friends!

It's Tarrah back with you and today I am excited to be sharing a new Fall inspired layout, this week we are creating projects using the gorgeous mood board below as inspiration. 

From the mood board I was immediately drawn to the leaves/feathers in the top centre rectangle. I decided to cut out some of the leaf cut files from the Silhouette Store in a variety of sizes using mostly the 'B' side of the Daily Details paper from the To the Moon collection. I like how the leaves look 'dipped'. Once the leaves were all cut out I backed them all with vellum and then added machine stitching with white thread to the centres, I like how this adds some texture to the leaves.

I chose the Pickle Juice Heart and Ombre paper as my background paper, I trimmed it down slightly to back it onto the Pony Heart and Ombre paper, I then machine stitched around the outer edge to add some more texture. I arranged the leaves in a falling pattern and once happy with the arrangement, I adhered them by just adding glue to the very centre of the back so that I could bend up the edges of them. 

I placed my photo on the right of the leaf arrangement, tucking it into the leaves so that it was connected. My title I placed on the left amongst the leaves, the title is made up of the Ciao Chipboard Hello word and the orange Aria puffy alphabet stickers. Once the main elements were adhered it was time to add some smaller embellishments. I pulled out various things that went with the colour scheme like the acrylic hearts, some puffy shapes, puffy hearts, corrugated heart hugs and some die-cuts.

I placed the larger scallop die-cut to the centre of one of the bigger leaves and layered a speech bubble die-cut over the top. I love how it says 'Let's Play'. The photo was taken while doing a photo shoot with some friends amongst heaps of fallen autumn leaves. We were throwing them in the air and having heaps of fun and laughing heaps too! I added a cute Bella Bow to the left of the photo. Once I had added some of the smaller embellishments, I sprinkled some white mist around the page and stamped the date stamp.

Mood Board Week Day 1 | Sarah

Happy fall! I absolutely love the mood board this month and the fall colors and themes! I’ve been ready to break out the pumpkins and sweaters for months, and I’m thrilled it’s finally here! 

For this layout, I was especially inspired by the colors in the mood board.

I love that circle image, and I wanted to incorporate those colors and a circle somehow. I started by gathering the colors I wanted to use. I pulled greens, oranges, yellows, and blues from several Bella Blvd collections: You Are My Sunshine, My Candy Girl, To the Moon, and Bella Besties. I also threw in a brown and grey while I was trying to incorporate the colors I saw in the mood board. I decided to use all of the beautiful papers to build a central circle on my page. I cut a circle out of scrap paper to use as the foundation. I hand cut triangles out of each pattern and tried to vary the sizes a bit. I wanted the visual texture and dimension the varied sizes add. I then distressed the edges of each piece and placed them around the circle, paying attention to the direction of the patterns (ex. I wanted hearts facing the correct direction). Once I was happy with how it looked, I glued them down to the circle. 

I then grabbed my background paper and lightly traced where I wanted the circle to go. I also quickly jotted down where each color was going to be behind the circle. I set it to the side and played with coordinating distress inks on my background. I love the messiness and depth the inks add to the layout. I tried to match the shades of inks to where each patterned paper would be. Once I was happy with that, I put my circle back down on the center of the page. 

I used two Bella Blvd cutfiles to tuck around my sweet pumpkin patch photos and emphasize the fall theme. The pumpkins add to the feel of my photos, and the leaves add texture to the scene. I added glitter to the pumpkins for a little shimmer and shine. I love the layers of the cutfiles and how they bring in more of those fall colors. 

I created my title out of phrases cut from patterned papers from the My Candy Girl Collection. I also added a few embellishments from the collections and finished the layout by adding my journaling to the bottom of the layout and white acrylic splatters around the page. 

I hope this layout inspires you in some way, and I’m wishing cooler weather upon all of you (especially my fellow Texans)!! 

 

Fall Projects + To The Moon Day 5 | Karlla Dauer

Karlla Here and I'm so happy to share a new layout with you!

I love Fall. It's my favorite season.

I love the colors, the weather and the spirit of this season.

For this layout I created a background with the beautiful cut file "PUMPKINS"

(you can find it on the Silhouette Studio website).

Even if you use a lot of different elements, you can somehow make them stand out. And that's what I did.

For the pumpkins, I made a discreet shade with a darker ink pad and outlined it with white stitching.

For the Autumn Leaves Origami, I made splashes of white paint.

The title, I grouped it on one side of the layout.

I loved the effect of the leaves in the project and it helped make the photos stand out.

For the title I used a mix of alphabets, "Aria Alpha Bell Pepper" and "Florence Alpha Guacamole"

with "Gratitude & Grace Acrylic".

I loved the mix and found the layout more fun.

Fall Projects & To the Moon Day 4 | Niki Rowland

Hey everyone! This is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) back today with a fall layout and video using the To the Moon collection.

I have mainly focused on the To The Moon Bella Besties Collection Pack. I pulled out papers in Orange, Bell Pepper (yellow) and Pickle Juice (green). I also pulled out papers from the To the Moon collection that would also work: the wide striped paper, a green polka dot paper and a yellow paper with orange circles.

I cut up the striped paper and selected the stripes I wanted. I distressed the edges of each and stuck these to my background which is the Orange ombre paper. I also trimmed down my background, distressed the edges of that too and stuck this to a piece of white cardstock.

I wanted to make some origami corn embellishments as my photo is of my children eating corn at a recent trip to a sunflower farm. I found a great tutorial on YouTube which is here if you would like to watch it too.  I made these from green paper and yellow paper. For the green leaves I used the plain side but for the yellow side I used the hearts – they reminded me of the kernels on the corn! I made three of these, two big ones and one small.

I then used some cut files leaves, which I cut using my Silhouette Machine. I used the remaining part of the ombre green and yellow papers to cut leaves in varying sizes and shapes, and apples and pears too. All the cut files I used are by Bella Blvd and are linked below.

I stitched through all the leaves using gold thread and my sewing machine. I arranged these onto the layout around my photo together with the apples, pears and three corn embellishments that I made. I then added Heart Hugs in greens and kraft. I finished off with Trinkets Puffy Stickers and an acrylic title ‘perfect’ and a few splatters of paint.

To The Moon Fall Projects Day 3 - Tegan

Good day Bella Blvd friends! On today's layout I used the adorable To The Moon collection to create this fun fall layout! I made sure to focus on the red, orange, aqua, white, and navy coloring in the To The Moon Besties Patterned Paper kit. I had SO MUCH FUN using this astronaut/boy themed collection to document some fall pics of my nieces! I call it 'Out of This World Fall Fun'! Come take a look! 

I used the super pretty Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre Ice Patterned Paper for my background paper. All of the ombre papers make amazing backgrounds! I then blended some of my favorite To The Moon chipboard stickers and patterned papers with the coordinating Bella Besties patterned papers. I used the darling Florence Alphabet Stickers in Guacamole to start the title!

Here I used the Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre Blueberry Patterned Paper and the Bella Besties Graph & Dot Patterned Paper in McIntosh layered with some To The Moon papers. The Bella Besties papers make great layering pieces! I then embellished this photo with adorable robot and astronaut chipboard pieces and a black corrugated Heart Hug sticker. Isn't that robot just the cutest?!

I then used the super fun Aria Puffy Sticker in Orange to finish the title. I then finished off the page by using clusters of the Trinkets Puffy Stickers in McIntosh around the page. I love dimension they add! What is your favorite part of the To The Moon collection?!

Fall & To The Moon Week Day 2 | Yarelys Rodriguez

Hey there Bella Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you a fall layout using the To The Moon collection and the Bella Besties. I also used two of the Bella Blvd cut files.

I went through the papers of the collection and picked the Borders, Little Explorer, Out Of This World, Reach For The Stars and The Sky’s The Limit and cut strips to make rosettes with them. Then I cut the Fall Leaves Outline cut file, for this I used the Bella Besties in Blueberry, Ice, McIntosh and Orange.

To build my layout I glued the rosettes and my photo, then I added the leaves from the cut file.

For my title I used the Autumn cut file. To finish my layout, I added the word days to the title and some Trinkets.

Fall Projects + To the Moon | Sarah

Hello to all my Bella friends! Sarah (@redoaklines) here, today on the blog, and I'm kicking off this week with a brand new fall project I created using pieces from the To the Moon collection coupled with its Bella Besties papers. I love how all of these papers work seamlessly together for any project.

Here's what I created:

 

I focused mostly on the coordinating Bella Besties papers from the To the Moon Collection. Sure, the collection is geared toward out of this world cuteness, but there's a handful of beautiful, vibrant fall colors on these papers that work well with any fall project.

First up, I found an awesome Bella cut file in the Silhouette store. (Did you know Bella has a ton of cut files?!) I used the cut file named "Fall Leaves Outline", which can be found here.

 

 

Again, I focused on using the coordinating colors from the Bella Besties papers. I cut out a handful of various leaves, and layered them to the sides of my photos.

 

Then, I added some phrases from the Doohickey sheets right on top of my leaves to give my layout more dimension. I also added some Puffy Stickers from the To the Moon collection that matched with the papers.

 

Lastly, I used a photo corner punch to create these fun "arrow" shapes using various papers from the the To the Moon collection. I wanted to draw attention to my title and my two photos, so I pointed them all toward the center of my layout.

 

 

I scattered some hearts from the Florence alpha sticker sheets on top of the "arrows" at add a fun, messy look.

 

That's all I've got for now. Hands up if you think Bella Bestie paper collections rock?! Me! Me! I love that Bella collections always have coordinating Bestie papers. It makes it totally easy to find background papers to use. They always match up so nicely with all of the collections, so no need to even try to color match everything. Also, yes to finding all the Bestie papers that work with all those fall projects! It's a win-win over here.

Sketch Week Day 6 | Melissa Mann

Good Morning!

I was so excited that I got to work with this month's sketch and it is such a GOOD ONE!! 

I loved the multiple photo option and the big title option on this sketch. I stuck pretty closely to the sketch but ended up moving my title just a bit to have the layout flow a little better to my liking.

I started by backing a piece of white card stock to a piece of pattern paper from the You Are My Sunshine paper collection. I used a piece of leftover flower cut-out on the white card stock and layered my pattern paper boxes on top. I stitched the pattern paper boxes together with my sewing machine. I ended up using three photos that were wider rather than longer and layered them cross the bottom of the more vertical boxes. 

Once I had the photos secured, I punched a bunch of hearts out of various papers from the You Are My Sunshine collection and used them in conjunction with a bunch of chipboard hearts from the Home Sweet Home and You Are My Sunshine Ciao Chip. I popped up a few of the hearts using foam dots. 

I filled up the boxes above my photos with journaling, my chipboard title word and ephemera from the You Are My Sunshine collection. I really loved how this project turned out :-)
