It's Tarrah back with you and today I am excited to be sharing a new layout featuring the STUNNING My Candy Girl collection!
This week I had an awesome sketch to work with designed by fellow design team member Niki Rowland. I love the circular elements in the sketch and decided to replicate those using some scalloped circle die-cuts from my stash. I cut 3 of the gorgeous papers from the My Candy Girl collection sticking with a pink and red colour palette for my page.
Once the 3 scalloped shapes were cut, I adhered these with foam tape underneath onto a sheet of the Bella Besties white graph/dot paper. I then trimmed down the white paper and adhered it to a piece of red paper in the My Candy Girl collection. I then machine stitched around the outside edge. I then adhered the scalloped shapes across the page to replicate the circles in the sketch.
One of the reasons I chose a mainly red and pink colour scheme was because of the colours in my photo. My super cute nieces are wearing these colours and by using these colours on my page it really helps to tie everything together. I adhered the photo between the right shape and the middle shape. I just had to add the gorgeous Sweet as Sugar winners pennant die cut from the Ephemera icon pack on the left of my photo and I added the acrylic title So Sweet to the bottom of the photo. On the left scalloped shape I added a chipboard heart from the Chipboard Icons and on the right one I added the gorgeous pink pig Bella Pop.
Some of the other smaller embellishments I added were some puffy stickers, Doohickey stickers, epoxy stickers and a Bella Bow to the top right corner of my photo. Lastly I stamped the date stamp above the photo.
