Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the new and amazing To The Moon collection along with a Bella Blvd cut file, The Sky Is The Limit. You can find this cut file and other Bella Blvd cut files here. There's a process video at the end of this blog post so make sure to check it out to see how this page came together!
To start, I cut the cut file out on a piece of textured white cardstock and backed it using a few different 12x12 patterned papers. I wanted a fun mixed media background so I took a few Distress Oxide inks in blues and ink blended them onto another piece of textured white cardstock. I sprinkled on some water, waited a few seconds and lifted the water with a paper towel. It lifts up some of the color and creates some fabulous interest on my background. I also added in some gold spray to add even more sparkle. I wanted the background to kind of resemble a night sky.
I love how the background turned out and how the cut file just pops right on top of it.
Next, I matted the photo using some of the papers in the collection and added some foam tape to the entire cut file. I adhered the cut file to the page and tucked my photo underneath it. I started embellishing using the Doohickey Cardstock Stickers and created a cluster to the right of the photo. I also pulled in some of the Ephemera pieces and made 2 more clusters on the page. In doing this, it will make your eyes go around the entire page especially since my son is looking to the left in the photo. I didn't want the right side to be completely empty.
I popped a few of the Ephemera pieces up on some foam tape and added some tangled thread under each one. I also pulled in some of the new It's a Boys World Puffy Stickers and Matte Enamel Dots and added them to each cluster.
Here's another embellishment cluster:
To finish off this page, I added some quick journaling and spattered some white acrylic paint around my layout.
This layout came together so quickly and I love how it turned out! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I've inspired you in some way. Have you picked up this new collection yet? I have so many ideas for it and can't wait to share them all with you! Check out my process video below and I'll see you next time. Bye friends!
