Hi everyone, this is Niki (@nikiclairecreates) and here is a new layout and process video using Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre, Acrylics and Aria Puffy Alphas. You can find the process video at the end of this post.
I choose the White Ombre paper for my background and pulled out three more colors of Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre: Cotton Candy, Peep and Punch so all the pinks today! I choose to scrap a photos of my gorgeous girl who has just celebrated her 10th birthday so this layout had to be pink for my Pink Princess!
I decided to make a large concertina rosette using strips of the three pink papers. I cut a strip from the three colors 4.5”x12” and scored at every half inch. I concertina folded these and glued them together with a hot glue gun. I then glued the ends together too and flattened it into a rosette. I secured it with a circle on the back and then stuck it to my background paper – I absolutely love how it turned out!!
I added three acrylics to my rosette: Hip Hip Hooray, fabulous and Wish Big – all perfect for this layout and all in pink tones too. I arranged these onto the right side of the rosette.
I added two photos to the rosette too and also wrote the word ‘ten’ three times on the rosette too using Aria Puffy Alphabet stickers in the same three pink colors: Cotton Candy, Peep and Punch. I secured these with extra adhesive due to the bumpy surface of my rosette!
I then created a border around the outside of my rosette using Florence Alphabet stickers in the same three colors: Cotton Candy, Peep and Punch. I repeated the word ‘ten’ over and over and also interspersed each word with the numerical 10. I separated them with little hearts also from the Florence alphabet stickers. I matched the alphabet stickers to the colored section on the rosette.
I added a machine stitched border around the edge of my layout and also added pink strips to the top and bottom of the layout flush with the edge which were then revealed a little by folding up the edges of the layout.
I then punched a few hearts in different sizes from the leftover papers and arranged them onto my rosette too. I finished by writing my journaling onto one of the hearts and I also added a few splatters of pink paint. Here's another look at the finished layout:
I really love how this layout turned out – it is so perfect for my lovely girl and a great way to document her 10th birthday. Enjoy the process video below.
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Niki xx
