Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Cut-Outs Week Day 4

Hi crafty friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you today to share a new layout for the Cut Outs feature for this week here on the Bella blog! I chose to use the Friends large title cut out from the Family and Friends Cut-Out set. The Bella Cut-Outs are simply amazing and help to take the guess work out of designing a page, I highly recommend you get yourself some!

I backed the open spaces in the Friends cut out with different patterned papers from the Home Sweet Home collection. I just love how the bright colors pop out from the title. Once the spaces were all backed, I added craft foam underneath and adhered it to another of the patterned papers in the Home Sweet Home collection. I love the shadows and dimension this creates on my layout. I then trimmed strips from 2 different patterned papers, adhering the blue floral one at the top of the layout and the white floral piece at the bottom of the layout. I also took 2 of the scallop border stickers and placed these flush with the paper strips top and bottom.

When I saw the epoxy sticker that says 'Bunch of Crazies' from the Home Sweet Home epoxy sticker set, I knew I had to document this fun photo of myself with some girlfriends from a weekend away last year. Of course that epoxy sticker was going to make its way onto this layout!

I adhered my photo above the Friends Cut-Out also placing craft foam underneath the photo, however only adding it to the top section so that I could overlap the bottom half of the photo on the Cut-Out and then the top was level with the title on my page. I absolutely LOVE Bella chipboard icons, I added a tree to the right of my photo and a green heart on the left. I also took some word die-cuts that helped tell the story of my photo and layered them on the left on top of the photo. I typed out my journaling on my computer, printed it out and cut the words into strips. I adhered these to the left of my photo, right above the title.
