Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and I'm so excited to be back with Bella Blvd for another term! I absolutely LOVE being a part of this team/family and being able to design with beautiful and amazing products makes me so happy! This layout's main focus is Alphas, including both the Aria and Florence Alphabet stickers! Here's my layout, I had so much fun with it!
To start, I went to the Bella Blvd cut files section in the Silhouette Design Store and chose the Hip Skull cut file. I had the perfect photo for it and I wanted to create a boy themed layout using some Bella Besties. So, I cut the cut file out on a piece of 12x12 white cardstock and popped the entire page up on foam tape. I wanted to add alphas to the positive pieces of the cut file, but wanted it to stand out more so I created a little depth with the foam. I was still somewhat backing my cut file using the alphas, I was just adding a bit more interest to it.
The photo I chose for my layout is of my youngest son, Elijah, playing Xbox on his bed. I thought it would be fun to add some usual phrases he says while he's playing. "Ahh!", "Bro!" and "Let's Go" are just a few of the words he usually yells into his mic.. It makes me crack up just typing it! Do you have any gamers in your household? Quite entertaining I must say! So anywho.. I pulled my Florence Alphas in Oyster, Black, Ice and Blueberry and adhered them down on the positive pieces of my cut file. So fun!!
I also added in a few of the hearts from each sticker sheet to help fill in any gaps/holes. I just love how it turned out! Next, I took my original 12x12 negative piece and applied a few splatters using some Shimmerz Paints in similar colors.
Next, I took another piece of 12x12 white cardstock and carefully adhered the popped up cut file to it. This gave me a place to adhere in the positive pieces with the alphas on them. To help the skull pop out even more, I added some faux stitching using a black paint pen.
I matted my photo using the Bella Besties Freehand Graph & Dot patterned papers in the same colors, Black, Oyster, Ice and Blueberry.
I used the Aria Alphas in Oyster and Ice to create my title and also added in a few phrase stickers from the Bella Besties Word Salad Booklet.
I felt like my page needed a bit more, so I pulled out several of my star shaped paper punches and punched a bunch of stars using the same patterned papers that I matted my photo with. I added faux stitching to all of them using my white gel pen. This really made the stars stand out!
To finish off my page, I sprinkled in a few Matte Enamels and a few of the black enamel stickers from a Heart Hugs pack. I also add in a few stars from the Trinkets Puffy stickers in Black.
I had so much fun with this boy layout and I hope that I've inspired you in some way today! Do you have the Florence or Aria Alphas in your stash? You should totally back a cut file using some of them or create a layout using lots of them! Our team has created and shared some great layouts this week, so there's tons of inspiration. Thank you so much for being here and I'll see you in my next post!
