Cut Outs Week Day 3 | Lauren

Hi everyone Lauren Seals here today! After taking a little break after the arrival of our little babe, it feels good to be back crafting and creating. Today I’m sharing a fun layout I created using the amazing Bella Cut Outs, along side mix matching of various Bella lines, and the Hearts & Ombré Bella besties. 

I have fallen in love with Cut Outs. The new styles are absolutely amazing and easy to use because they now include cutting templates!

To begin I picked out various papers from Hearts & Ombré, Chloe, Cooper, and Monsters & Friends. I wanted to stick with the vibe of fall colors to coordinate with my photos. Since I didn’t have fall paper I decided to mix and match some fun patterns from various lines keeping with the colors but still adding so me fun patterns. Once I chose my papers I then cut them down to little pieces to fit my template and cut around them so they would fit perfectly behind the Cut Out. 
Once I had my Cut Out assembled I layered my photos with a couple mats to bring out the colors while adding focus to the pictures.

I then began to embellish using the Aria Alphabet Stickers for my title, Cooper Ephemera Words, Enamel Hearts, as well as some of the fun Puffy Trinkets. For my embellishments I chose special pieces from the Cooper words that fit my photos. Although no dogs in these pictures the words in the Cooper line also coordinated perfectly for baby, family, and love.

Cut Outs Week Day 2 | Dorymar

Hello, Bella fans, Dorymar here today sharing a lovely project. The assignment for this week is to use the Bella Cut-Outs. I decided to use one of the beautiful titles included in the Family & Friends Cut-Outs pack and post one of my favorite family photos.

To complete my project, I used the beautiful Chloé collection, this collection is one of my favorites this year, I adore the patterns, the colors, and the fantastic die cuts that the collection includes. This collection is inspired to be used with cats, but I don't have cats, well I decided to use this collection because it’s simply fantastic and you can adjust it to any theme.

As a base of my project I used one of the new Bella Besties Hearts & Ombré Bell Pepper, I love these papers especially the Ombré side because it is very useful to use as a background in any project, I love the color degradation and how they gave it a spectacular touch to my project.

As a title, I used the “This is us” phrase from Family & Friends Cut-Outs, I backed the letters with beautiful patterned papers included in Chloé 6x6 Paper Pad.  To give dimension I used foam tape between the paper and the cut-out to give deep look.

I popped the cut file up on some foam tape and placed it at the bottom of my picture, then I add some flower die-cut on top of my cut-out to decorate it.

I wanted to add a bit of texture to my project and for that, I used the new trinkets puffy stickers, these new stickers are glossy and gave a special touch to my layout, I loved the result.

Cut Outs Week Day 1 | Tegan Skwiat

Good day Bella Blvd friends! Have you tried out the amazing Bella Blvd Cut-Outs yet? On this layout I cut apart a couple different ones to create smaller design elements. I also couldn't resist starting this project with the adorable Cooper collection and adding in bit of the Monsters & Friends collection. I had a blast creating this layout... come take a look!

I started out by using only a section of the Pie Charts Cut-Outs. I used the circle template that is included in the pack to help me fussy cut out circles using the Cooper and Monsters & Friends collections. I then cut these circles in half and then backed the cut out with these papers. I made sure that each half circle was titled in different directions to add visual interest to the design.

I then embellished the Cut-Out design with Bella Blvd Felt Pennants and different colors of the corrugated cardboard Heart Hugs. I love all of the texture these two products add to my layout! I also added a couple of the Word Salad phrase stickers. I love that the Monsters & Friends collection has so many great patterned papers that can be included in non-holiday projects! 

I used the super cute Aria Puffy Alphabet Stickers on the title. I then used a black Sharpie marker to color the acrylic word 'Family' and added it to the page. Did you notice that I had added it on top of a section of the Faithful Friend Cut-Outs that I had backed with orange patterned paper?! I then added an epoxy heart sticker from the Cooper collection. Yes, fur kids are family too!  :) 

The Bella Blvd Cut-Outs are certainly a great option if you don't have an electronic die cut machine and want to achieve the cut out design look! They are also great though too for if you just want a precut option or if you don't want to haul your die cut machine to a crop! I

Mood Board Week Day 6 | Stephanie Buice

Hi Bella friends! Stephanie here today sharing the last mood board layout of the week! Let's take a quick look at the inspiration board and then I'll walk you through my project. 

When creating this month's board it was important for us to include lots of photos that invoked the feelings and warmth of fall, but still managed to stay true to Bella's style of including lots of beautiful color!

Here is my layout:

I was really inspired by the mixed media photos on the board, so I broke out my paints and went to town. I brushed on my colors and then let them dry. Next I cut out my paint strips and added them to my layout. I used Florence Alphabet stickers for my journaling and bordered my page with washi tape on the right and left sides.

I used lots of ephemera pieces to embellish until I was happy with how it came out.

My journaling was inspired by the text photo from the mood board, I love how the Florence Alphabet Stickers were the perfect size!

These little photos of my sweet girl will always be some of my favorites, I am happy to finally have them scrapped!

November Mood Board Day5 | Maryám

Hey there Bella friends! This is Maryám and I'm so excited to be back here at the Bella BLVD blog today with a new project inspired by the November 2020 Mood Board.

First of all, let's start by taking a look at this month's mood board.

This month is all about Fall! And one of the images that really inspired me to create my layout was the second image on the top row. I really liked the look of those hand-made feathers were hanging from a branch, so I decided to recreate the same look for my layout but using leaves instead.

To create my layout, I started out by cutting about 12 leaves with the help of my Silhouette Cameo. The cut file I used is 302421 Leaves Cut Files, which you’ve probably seen already because is actually one of my favorite cut files from Bella, and the papers are from the Hearts & Ombré collection. The colors I used are- Cotton Candy, McIntosh, Orange, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice, and Gulf; and for the veins, I used a brown textured cardstock from my stash.

After I cut all the leaves, I used some liquid adhesive to put all the pieces together. Next up, I cut a tree branch from the same cardstock I used for the leaf veins and adhered to the page using some foam dots.

Following up, I tied some embroidery thread strips to the tree branch and then grabbed the leaves and tried different placements until I decided on one. To adhere the leaves in place, I used some foam dots, and to embellish the whole page a little bit more, I added some Enamel Dots and a few Trinkets Puffy Stickers in coordinating colors here and there.

Last, but not least, I added my title, for which I used the super awesome Aria Alphabet Puffy Stickers in black.

Now, let's take a look at the finished layout!

November Mood Board Day 4 | Brianna Lepper

Hey crafty friends! Brianna Lepper here with a new mood board inspired layout. I absolutely love this months mood board with its beautiful colors, textures and patterns.  I mean who doesn't love Fall themed mood boards?

 

 

I knew right away that I would have leaves on my layout and really liked the composition of the leaves in the bottom left square of the board.  The gold dipped leaves in the top middle square also gave me an idea to heat emboss on some of my leaves.  Here's what I came up with!

 

 

For my leaves, I used the Fall Leaves cut file in Silhouette Design Store.  In my Silhouette Software, I arranged them in a variety of sizes and cut them using the Ombre sides of the new Bella Besties Hearts and Ombre papers.  I made sure to cut them on the lighter areas of the paper to keep with the some the softness of the mood board.  I used the colors in Blueberry, Bell Pepper, Peep, Pony and Guacamole.  Once they were all cut, I gently pressed them onto my Versamark Ink pad and sprinkled gold glittery embossing powder on them.  I then hit each leaf with my heat gun to melt the powder.  Each leaf is so sparkly and pretty!!

 

 

Once I was finished embossing the leaves, I arranged them in the same design as the bottom left square and adhered them down to a piece of the Scallop Plaids and Dotty patterned paper that also matches the mood board!

 

 

For my title, I used an acrylic word from the Embrace Today pack and added to it using the Florence Alphas in Oyster.  I had taken this photo of my son while we were at California Adventure and he was just in awe of everything around him.  Then I pulled some of the Epoxy Hearts from the Chloe collection and created a few clusters with them.  I also added a few of the White Trinkets Puffy Stickers around the page.  Next, I layered a few scraps from the Hearts and Ombre papers under my photo and added a white Cute Clip in the right corner.  I felt like it needed more embellishing so I used a few clouds from the Home Sweet Home Ciao Chip stickers. I also added a cute Ciao Chip Cat from the Chloe collection.  It looks like Noah is looking at him and who doesn't want a cute kitty on their page!?

 

 

To give the leaves on my page even more interest, I adhered a few of the Give Thanks Heart Hugs and added a sticker from the Word Salad Booklet.  I also rubbed a bit of Gold Heidi Shine to the hearts to make them sparkle.

Mood Board Day 3 | Digital Layout with Tya

 Hi there Bella Fans! I'm up today sharing a Digi layout using the November Mood Board. This board was full of some great inspiration and I love that I can use this for ideas for my Digi layouts too! 

 

I was inspired by quite a few things on this board that I used on my layout. I loved the orange gingham/plaid pattern so I used that on my background paper. I also utilized the paintbrush strokes and the circles in my mixed media elements I used behind my photo. I also tried to mimic the beautiful cluster of leaves that run on the bottom-right edge of my photo. Lastly, I was super inspired by the leaves in the middle top picture. I tried to mimic that in my leaf pattern paper strip behind the photo. I used the gorgeous Gratitude Documented Digital collection to create this layout!

Mood Board Week Day 1 | Allie Trumpower

Hey friends! Allie from AllieScraps here to share a DIGITAL layout with you based on the amazing November mood board! 

For this layout and mood board, I was really inspired by the paint and the "messy" look, as well as some of the black "swooshes" and dots. I also really wanted to use the Hearts Cut Outs, so I digitally backed the hearts with one of my all time favorite papers from the digital Illustrated Faith You Are Loved collection! I used elements from that collection to embellish and serve as my title as well.  I love how it all came together!

Mood Board Week Day 1: A Cheesy Smile Layout with Traci

Hi Bella friends!  I'm back to share a really fun layout with all of you today.  I think the ages between 2 and 4 are so much fun.  Kids this age just crack me up with the things they say, the cute ways the interact, and their adorable facial expressions.  Like this one of my granddaughter!  Such a smile!!  I just couldn't wait to create a page with these pictures.  I got my inspiration from this month's mood board ... 

 

I played off several things from this mood board.  First the colors!  I think this pattern from the Illustrated Faith collection is the perfect backdrop for the rest of my payout.  (Sorry my white base is a little wonky ... I must need new contacts)!

 

 

I was also inspired by the stack of sweaters so I used the stacked pattern across the top of the page.

The Smile title came from the Happiness Cut-Outs.  If you haven't tried these yet, they are super easy and make a really fun impact on your projects.  I backed this one with lots of new Ombre paper and used the Aria alpha stickers for the rest of my title.

 

To finish up my page, I added some hearts and banners from the Home Sweet Home collection, some random stickers, and a cute band of washi tape across the bottom.  I love this page ... mainly because of that cute 3 year old and her cheesy smile ;) , but also because of the colors and fun title.  I hope you love it too, and that this month's mood board inspires you for your next project!

Cut File Week Day 6: Fall is for Football Games | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here and I am wrapping up cut file week over here at Bella Blvd!  My youngest son, Elijah just started football and he is loving it!  I had taken a photo of him after his first game and I couldn't wait to document it.  I went to the Silhouette Design Store and browsed through the Bella Blvd cut files and chose the Football Games one since it was perfect for my photo!  Here's what I came up with and I hope that you like it!

 

 

First, I cut the cut file out on a piece of white textured cardstock from my stash.  Then, in my Silhouette Software I duplicated the cut file and released the compound path so that I could have the solid piece of the cut file and cut it using the Hearts and Ombre paper in Black.  To create the backing pieces of the cut file, I offset each one and arranged them on my cutting mat so that I could have each letter cut using different colors of the new Hearts and Ombre papers.  I chose the colors in McIntosh, Blueberry, Bell Pepper, Ice and Guacamole.  Once everything was finished cutting, I glued everything together and moved onto the next step.  

 

 

Here's another shot of the backed cut file.  Before I adhered the cut file to another piece of plain white cardstock, I added a few Shimmerz Paints paint splatters around the whole page to give my background a bit more interest.

 

 

I decided to use the Let's Go On An Adventure collection for this layout.  I thought it had a lot of elements that would work on this football layout since they're both outdoor related.  My sons schools colors are red, white and gray and I thought the color scheme of the collection worked perfectly for it.  I backed my photo using some patterned papers from the collection and embellished using some of the Ciao Chip chipboard stickers around the photo.  I thought the fox from the ephemera icons was super cute, especially since it was wearing a red scarf!

 

 

I added a floral ephemera piece on the other side of the photo and decided to create another embellishment cluster on that side.  I grabbed a red and white pennant and adhered that down since it matched his uniform.  I added the word 'cheer' right on top using the Florence Alphas in McIntosh to create a little subtitle of 'cheer crew'.  To add even more pops of color, I sprinkled the new Trinkets Puffy heart stickers in Bell Pepper around my page.  

 

 

For my title, I added some of the new Aria Puffy Alphas in McIntosh, Ice and Guacamole. I finished this page off by adding in some tangled thread.  I love how this layout turned out!  It's so colorful and fun!
