Gorgeous Fall and Halloween Mood Board this month! I love the Orange and the black, but there are so many more possibilities and inspiration from this piece, with the Fall patterns and the pops of color! Here is how I used the Mood Board.
I love documenting in my traveler's notebooks, but I also love pocket pages and 6x8 layouts. So for today, I'm using the Heidi Swapp scrapbook insert book which I feel gives me the best of both of those sizes and gives me more room for creativity and documenting! I treated the left side as if it were a pocket page with a trimmed out card from the Monster & Friends pattern paper and my photo I found on the Internet for the movie Home. The Monster & Friends collection inspired me to document about our love of this movie, and we still love to watch it over and over as well as listen to the soundtrack!
The quote on the card from the collection 'Put your hands in the air if you just don't scare' instantly made me think of the Movie. I used the Florence, Aria, and the Monsters & Friends Alphabet Stickers along the far left for quotes from the movie. These colors are inspired by the Mood Board.
The right side, I documented like I would a 6x8 layout. I used a 3x4 photo, and then trimmed the diagonal black and white pattern paper from the collection to create an intersection of the lines. I cut out Bowtie and Nighttime cut files from Bella Blvd on the Silhouette Design Store, and used some of the clouds cut from black and white polka dot pattern paper over the black diagonal paper, added machine stitching, then used my circle punch to punch circles from my altered pattern paper, as well as black cardstock, and the Clear Cuts with the orange hearts.
Had to put the name of the main character from the movie, which is 'Oh,' so I used the same color Aria alphas and placed on my photo. I finished with a few more cut files, stickers, dots, and journaling to finish.
Hope you are inspired to create a colorful, patterned filled project using the October Mood Board and please share on Instagram and tag @bellablvd #bellablvd so we can all see!
