Hey scrappy friends,
it's Lisa back on the blog today and I'm sharing a super fun layout, using the new Monsters & Friends collection combined with the AMAZINGLY beautiful new Hearts & Ombré Bella Besties.
I was so excited to start using the Halloween collection... I love Halloween collections and colors and all the cute little spooky things that come with them. As for the Bella Besties... I already loved the dotted and striped ones... but the new ones are AMAZING!!! :)
As you can see, I used a purple Bella Bestie as a background. It's so fun and easy to use and it looks like you did mixed media on your background. When I went through all the papers of the collection, I immediately was in love with this cool colorful striped one and knew I wanted to use it somehow. I cut the stripes apart and then I cut each one of them into wonky and irregular shapes. I arranged them on the paper and adhered them with a bit of tape. Then I went to my sewing machine and stitched messy stitches in different styles over each stripe, using matching thread.
I think the stitches match the theme and style of the layout so good and give a lot of dimension.
Then I went through all of the embellishments of the collection and chose all the things that I wanted to use. I went color-coordinated, so I used matching colors over each stripe. The Bella Pops are so cool because they have fun designs and give a pop of dimension right away. I also chose Hello Chips, enamel shapes, die-cuts, a few little strips of washi tape and an acrylic word.
For my photo, I used one I took at Disneyland Paris two years ago. I had a super amazing day and of course I loved taking pictures with the Halloween decoration. I matted it with two different patterned papers and adhered it to the layout using foam tape.
To finish I had to splatter white paint all over, of course... :)
I hope you like the layout and are inspired to use the new collections. It's totally worth to have it all, it's really fun to use the fun and colorful things.
See you soon,
