Hello lovely Bella Blvd Friends! It is time for the September Mood Board and as always, I was very inspired. This time, it inspired me to use the Cooper collection with Bella Blvd cut files, the new Aria Alphas, and some watercoloring! Here's how it inspired my traveler's notebook spread.
I first cut the Bella Blvd Triangle Background downloaded from the Silhouette Store using the black side of the Squeeze the Day Orange You Glad pattern paper. Then I pulled four different pattern papers from the Cooper 6x6 Paper Pad, choosing papers with more color than a design. I wanted them to pop against the black cut file. I also used the same 6x6 papers to cut out the Bella Blvd Floral Cluster cut file from the Silhouette Store.
After my two rows of triangles had color, I left the rest without for some extra white and contrast, and adhered part of the background at a diagonal onto my background, extending the last little bit of the right corner onto the right side to give it flow and movement. With the Triangle Background, I have my modern, geometric; with the bright Fall colors with the black and white accents, I have the bold contrast; and with the Floral Clusters, I have the contemporary, modern flowers all inspired by the Mood Board.
For the right side, I left the top corner to add watercolors. Using water and watercolors onto a acrylic block, I just pressed this corner into it until I got the desired look, then used a small paint brush to add the splatters from the leftover watercolors on the block. Next, time to add some of the wonderful new Aria alphas and mix it up with the Cooper Die Cuts, Florence Stickers, and more of the Floral Cluster flowers I cut from the Silhouette. I love the little pieces from that cut file and dotted those around for extra color and texture.
Even though this project has nothing to do with a pet dog, it has everything to do with my 'dogs' not barking. So I printed my photos small and wide, aligning them along the cut file. I think the Oscar bella-pops accents just took this to the next level. I finished this with Swiggle Design Washi tape and Hearts Dog Mix Epoxy stickers.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you are inspired by the September Mood Board, ways to use the Bella Blvd Cut files, and using the Cooper collection for non-pet projects! Happy Creating!
