Hey friends! Erica here with you today to share a new layout using the Pop Quiz collection and a newer cut file Bella Blvd available in the Silhouette Design Store.
I pulled out the Goofing Off pattern paper from the collection to use as my background. I added some clear gesso from Finnabair to the pattern paper because I knew I was going to be using some color and water to create a watercolor background.
Once my gesso was dry I took some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide and ran it across the center of the Goofing Off pattern paper a few times. Next I used my water bottle to mist some water on the ink so that the color would run together create a big puddle of color. I took the paper and moved it around so the color would move around on the page until I got the look I wanted. I used my heat tool to help speed up the drying time. Once it was dry I went back in and added some ink splatters using the same Speckled Egg color ink.
I backed the cut file with different pattern papers from the collection making sure that I used some red because my photos have red in them. I really wanted the red to stand out and I think I was able to accomplish that with my layout. I popped up the cut file using some foam adhesive and tucked in my photo strips.
I used the Pop Quiz ephemera and 6x12 Sticker Mix to embellish around my page. I used foam adhesive to pop up some of the die cuts and stickers. The last think I did was use my We R Memory Keepers typewriter to type up my journaling. I used some wet adhesive to stick it down to my page. Here is a look at my completed layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired to use some new Bella cut files and get your memories documented!
