Smile Layout Featuring New Bella Besties | Maryam Perez

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to the Bella Studio Blog. This is Maryám and today I'm sharing a 12 x 12 layout featuring the new Bella Besties. In case you didn't know, some weeks ago Bella BLVD released brand-new products to coordinate with Bella's basics line, or as we call it, Bella Besties, as well as two super fun collections. Make sure to check out the recap post HERE in case you missed it.

To create my layout, I started by cutting 302421 Leaves Cut Files out different colors of the Hearts & Ombré Papers using my Silhouette Cameo. Even though I wanted to create a fall-themed layout, I decided to try and go with a different color palette and use all the colors of the rainbow. The colors I used from the Hearts & Ombré are- Cotton Candy, McIntosh, Orange, Bell Pepper, Pickle Juice, Gulf, Blueberry, Plum, and for the leaf veins, I used Pony.

Once I cut and assembled all the leaves, I distressed the edges of them using my scissors to have some extra texture. Then, I cut some more leaves that I simply drew with a pencil from the leftover papers I previously used.

Following this, I had my Silhouette Cameo draw a circle for me on my background paper (Hearts & Ombré White) and then arranged all the leaves in place and adhered them to the background using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam dots. Then, to embellish the page, I added some Trinkets Puffy Stickers in coordinating colors, as well as some white sequins.

For the title, I used the word "Smile" from the Happy & Smile Acrylic Words Set and then adhered the phrase "Siblings are the best" from the Word Salad Cardstock Sticker Booklet as a subtitle.

Happy Halloween

Hello Bella fans, it is Dorymar here today with some inspiration.  October is already here, and the new Bella Blvd collections have also arrived. I am sharing a beautiful layout using the new and fabulous Bella Besties and the spectacular Monsters & Friends collection. Perfect for any project you want to create in October.

Since shakers have been very fashionable for some time, I wanted to incorporate Bella's fantastic Clear Cuts to make a great shaker and use it as a background in my Layout.

To do this, I made a hole in the "Fun Facts" paper leaving 1 "from the top and side margins. Then I cut a piece that measured 7x12" from the Black Chivies Clear Cut and I adhered it to the back to cover the hole. I added adhesive foam all over the frame and filled the interior with sequins, as a background I used the beautiful Bella Besties color Plum, this paper is very useful because on one side you have hearts, and the other side you have an Ombré look. They are terrific!

For this project, I used two 3x4 photos and as a mat, I used the Bella Besties Bell Pepper paper. Around my photos, I used part of the most adorable monsters that the Ephemera Pack includes. I used several pieces to make some clusters around my photo and they looked fantastic and adorable as the photo of my baby.

As a title, I used the phrases also included in the ephemera pack and match it with the alphabets included in the sticker sheet.  Around it, I added the beautiful epoxy stars from the collection. I love how turquoise tones stand out among the traditional Halloween colors.

SMILE ALWAYS Layout inspiration with Nathalie

Hi there Bella Blvd friends!

Nathalie with you today to share with you my first layout using the new Bella Besties collection.  The Ombre papers, in the Bella Blvd palette, are amazing (you are going to need multiples).   As soon, as the papers arrived, I had the idea of creating some sort of rainbow on my page.   So, I pulled a few dies and created this layout all about my girl:

 

Rainbow and butterflies, do you know a better combination?  And all of these were made from the new Bella Besties Ombre paper.   

 

 

I started by cutting a strip of paper from the Orange, Peep, Mckintosh, Ice, Plum and Guacamole  (making sure that I had the ombre effect on the strip of paper).  I used two buildable butterfly dies to cut the images from the paper ( Spellbinders and Altenew dies) and then glued them together.  I placed them on the page, and used a pencil to draw the flying trails.

I used a paper piercing tool, and created the stitching guides.  Here is where I pop the Hamilton soundtrack, and handstitched away the background.  It took a little bit to get through it, but love the results.   I backed the picture with a few papers from Mom Life and Home Sweet Home collections and set it in the middle of the page.

I glued the butterflies in place with a bit of dimensional adhesive.   I added a few stickers to the pictures and then created a title by mixing acrylic pieces and Florence alpha stickers in Peep.  A few lines of journal and a enamel dots complete the page!

Be sure to check the new Ombre/Heart Bella Besties. The papers are so versatile, you are going to have to order doubles!!!  I cannot wait to see what you create with this new paper collection.

Be Uniquely You

Hello Bella fans, Dorymar today with a super cute Layout featuring the New Chloe Collection. This collection was designed for our lovely cats, but this time I used the collection to document beautiful photos of my oldest daughter, Adriana. The patterns and colors of this collection are especially useful, and you can adapt it to many different themes. Check it out!

I started the page selecting the “I Love Cats” and the b side of “Border Double” as the background for the page; then cut papers two stripes from the other “Border Double” paper to add more colors and patterns to my design.

I started my title with a cut file from Bella Blvd in Silhouette Store (Be Uniquely You ID # 328574), then I selected different patterned papers from the Chloe 6x6 Paper Pad to back the big “YOU” word.  I created a shaker in the “O” adding an acetate and glass beads.  To finish it, I added a bit of foam adhesive to add dimension to the cut file.

I wanted to incorporate many beautiful pieces of the collection, to make it, I added stickers, die cuts, heart hugs, Bella pops and doodling’s to decorate closer to my title. One of the things I liked the most, was the tags I added on top and bottom of my border, the wavy stripe sticker I added on top of the tags looks like big sewing, I love it!

I added pattern paper behind the photos and incorporate a fun tab from the collection to simulates fun files, this emphasizes my pictures and helps for the layers and dimension.

I love how my layout turned out and I hope my layout inspires you to create a fun project with the FANTASTIC CHLOE Collection, remember, “you can adapt this collection of many themes”.

Nothing Means More than Family - Digital Layout by Tya Smith

 Hi there! It's Tya and it's my turn to share my latest digital scrapbooking project with you all today! This week, all of our projects focus on family, and what a great focus that is! During this crazy time in the world, one of the positive effects is that we have gotten to spend a lot of time together with just our family. It's been wonderful to be able to spend more time with them!

 

My layout today features the lovely "Family Frenzy" digital collection. I loved the colors and icons in this collection and they looked great paired with the photo of my Mom and brothers and sister. When the collection has a lot of bright colors, I like to keep my main background pretty neutral so I used my color picker tool in Photoshop and made a Kraft colored background. That way, as you can see, I am able to use lots of pattern papers without the background paper competing with them. This is a good basic design principle that I like to use often!

Home Is My Favorite | Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and this week is all about family!  I'm excited to share my new layout using the Home Sweet Home collection and I hope you like it!

 

 

To start, I went through all of the patterned papers in the collection and chose a few that had pinks, blues and yellows.  I even grabbed the Clear Cuts acetate in Hearts White.  Here are the patterned papers I ended up using:  Home Sweet Home, Welcome Home and Mosaic Tile.  I trimmed a 3" inch strip of each one and traced on a scallop border on each piece.  Then, I cut out the scalloped shape on all of the strips, even on the acetate sheet.  I layered them on the page to have them cascading down from the top.

 

 

For the foundation of my layout, I chose the B side of the Daily Details patterned paper.  Since it's white with blue graph lines, the heart acetate sheet wasn't really showing up that well.  So I created a scallop border mask and blended on 3 Distress Oxide Inks from my stash.  It kept in line with the rest of the scalloped edges on my layout and you could see the pretty white hearts on the acetate.  I also love how the blended ink colors look!

 

 

Look at all of the fun layers and the simple mixed media element!  Have you given ink blending a try?  I love the process as well as the end result!

 

 

I then matted my photo using more papers from the collection and then got work on the embellishing portion of my page.  I added a few bits and pieces from the ephemera icons and words packs and made sure to add some foam tape under a few of the floral pieces.  I love when there's layers of dimension on my layouts!

 

 

Next, I added a few cute houses from the chipboard sticker set and added some of the epoxy stickers into my embellishment clusters.  

 

 

 

For my title, I used an acrylic word from the collection and added onto it using the new Aria Puffy Alphas in Plum, Peep and Cotton Candy.

Home Is Wherever My Bunch of Crazies Are | Patricia

Hello Bella Blvd Friends!  I am so happy to get to play with the Home Sweet Home collection in my traveler's notebook.  With the lockdown and being home more in general until school finally starts, there's so much to document about the family.  I've had to jot things down to not forgot!  Since these have been unusual days and we all tend to get a little crazy, I decided on this cut file title Home is Wherever My Bunch of Crazies Are.  I used the Home Sweet Home 12x12 papers to cut my colorful title, and then used stickers and die cuts to coordinate with the colors to add more texture and detail to my title.

For the right side, once I had a general idea of where I wanted everything, I penciled those items, then sent my white cardstock background through the typewriter to add my journaling.  Once that was typed, I added Home Sweet Home pattern paper with the houses because it really added to the family theme, and it adds more color as well as being so cute! That added color helps to balance my colorful title as well.

Then to add more color and texture, I added the Blueberry Mix Puffy Heart Stickers to bullet my journaling, and finished with more stickers and chipboard from the collection.  The little red and blue house at the bottom is trimmed pattern paper.  It was the right touch next to the large house chipboard, and gave me a little more bolder color to balance those same colors in my cut file and with the puffy hearts.

Hey friends!  Allie here for another digital layout! This one is all about FAMILY and is using bits from the "Mind Your Manners" digital collection! 

I love the patterns and colors in this collection, and I really wanted to highlight several papers... so I did my favorite "stash busting" kind of layouts, and did a grid of 9 papers! One of my other favorite things to do is to use journaling cards with fun sentiments instead of journaling-- sometimes the cards say it even better than I could, and they look extra cute too!

Home is... layout - Lisa Fonseca

Hi friends,

it's Lisa back on the blog and today I'm sharing a family themed layout I created using the Home Sweet Home collection. 

To start, I went through all of the patterned papers to see what I was going to use as my background and which colors I wanted to go with. I chose a patterned paper with a very fine, light blue grid design.

The collection has a paper with a yellow tile design and I thought it would be cool to cut out circles and use them on the layout. So I punched out a few circles and painted them in colors that were matching the collection. Then I also used the patterned paper with the flowers and fussy-cut out a few flowers. 

I did some mixed media on the background paper that I chose, using gelatos and a wet baby wipe. I love that technique when I don't want the whole thing to get too messy. Then I tried out a few designs, deciding how I was going to use my circles and flowers. I decided to cut a slit into the circles and to glue them in a way that would create this sort of bottomless cone. I put an enamel dot in the middle, to turn them into abstract flowers.

Before glueing everything down, I placed all the elements on my page to see how I wanted my design to be. I used tangled thread behind each cone flower and popped some of my fussy-cut flowers up with foam dots.

I used a piece of acetate with white hearts, on the left side of the layout and adhered my photo on top, after matting it with some scraps of paper.

To embellish a bit more, I chose a pink chipboard house and placed it on the left side of the photo. Then I created a little cluster of flowers around it. I also used some acrylic hearts in some spots to make it even more fun. For my title, I used ephemera letters, spelling HOME and added some Florence and some Aria alphas to complete the title.

I hope you like the layout and are inspired to create some abstract little flowers... :)

Back to School Digital Layout by Tya Smith

 Hi there Bella Blvd fans! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout with you today. Well, it's Back to School time! And while it may look a little different this year, you still can take those traditional first-day photos like I am showcasing on my layout today! 

I used the super fun "Pop Quiz" digital collection and also a bit of the "Let's Go" digital collections. The colors of these two collections coordinate really well together. I love the bright happy colors along with the cool muted gray colors as well. They play off each other so well. I am a very linear scrapbooker and as you can see in this layout I used lots of rectangles in this layout and then placed those rectangles inside a big square. I added a few stitched lines as well for some texture. 

 

I had a lot of fun using this cute collection to make this back to school layout and I hope that I have inspired you to pick up this collection for all of your back to school scrapbook layouts!
