Hi everyone!! Lauren here today sharing my favorite way to use cut files!
Typically I am not one to use cut files much. I usually prefer traditional paper crafting utilizing all the fun embellishments and not so much with my silhouette. But, sometimes it adds the perfect touch that you need to customize your layout or mini album! That’s exactly what I used it for here:
I knew I wanted to do something special with this photo because the meaning behind it is so important to me. I also knew I wanted to incorporate the Bella Let’s Go On An Adventure line because of how beautiful the setting of the this photo is in the Pacific Northwest.
Though not a camping, hiking, or really outdoor oriented photo I needed a way to document it with more than the traditional elements of this outdoor line.
That is how I decided to use cut files to be able to personal this layout with the elements I wanted to focus on. I used the sun, clouds, and adventure cut files from the Lets Go On An Adventure line.
I wanted to make the sun a focal point of the layout because of the importance of it when documenting this picture so I sized it to take up the majority of the top corner with the clouds layering in front of it.
I then created the base part of my layout using the papers from this line and layering my photo with the ephemera icons as well as the journaling cut apart piece.
I then layered the adventure across the bottom from the cut file and made it large enough to create the title across the whole bottom of the page.
I finished off the layout with some boarder stickers form the 12x12 sticker sheet, as well as using some of the stickers throughout the layout, and on my photo.
I also added some more of the ephemera around the photo to create some added dimension and embellishment clusters.
Even if you are one like me who usually steers away from using cut files I hope my layout showed you an easy way to utilize them and add some extra pieces to your projects that you just can’t always get within the embellishments available.
I can’t wait to share more creations again with you soon!
