Hey friends! Erica with you today sharing a layout using the Let's Go On An Adventure collection for a Mother's Day layout. I love the colors and florals in this collection so much I really wanted to use it with some photos I took of our kids on Mother's Day. This collection is the perfect collection for all your outdoor adventures but for today I am going to show you that you can use it in a different way. One thing I love about Bella Blvd is that one side of the paper might be for a certain theme but then you turn it over and it is perfect for anything! You can also mix and match collections because all the colors just go together.
I used the Geometric Heart cut file form Rulana's Cut Files and cut it out on some white textured cardstock. I backed it with papers from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection. I used some pinks, blues, and black with some pops of red for the colors on my layout. I printed my photos out in black and white so they would pop on the page. I wanted a little color behind the heart so I used some Party Dress ink from Catherine Pooler. To get the watercolor look I applied some ink to an acrylic block, sprayed some water and picked it up with a piece of plastic packaging. I then took the packaging and smooshed it to my cardstock where the heart would be so that the color was peeking out around the heart.
Once my background was dry I trimmed it down and matted it to the In The Woods paper. Next it was time to start embellishing my layout. The 12x12 Let's Go On an Adventure chipboard has some great florals so I tucked them in around my photos. I also fussy cut some florals and the super cute fox.
I also used some of the stickers from the Doo Hickey cardstock stickers. I tucked in an epoxy heart from Scrappin Happy Studio and used the Florence Alpha for my title. Here is a look at my completed layout
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my layout and found some inspiration. Make sure to head on over to the Bella Blvd Instagram and Facebook page for even more inspiration.
