Hi everyone! While I enjoy working with my silhouette and the endless possibilities of cut files. My absolute favorite way to scrapbook is the good old fashioned way technology free. I love piecing all the fun papers together and layering with lots of embellishments to create all the dimension. With all the clouds hovering over the world right now with the unknown of this virus it is such a blessing to be able to have a creative escape. Squeeze the day is so bright and full of happiness it is bound to bring some sunshine to everyone’s day.
Here is my layout created full of all the
I knew I wanted to create something bright, full of sunshine and color! Squeeze the day is perfectly for exactly that. I began with my mats. White to make it not so busy so the alphas and embellishments wouldn’t get lost in the background. Then created my own rainbow using strips of Bella Besties. I also used black Bella Besties to mat my picture to bring some dimension and make it stand out.
After getting my base pieces situated I decided which elements to use from the Ephemera words, icons, and alphas. I wanted the words to stand out and pair nicely with the rainbow background so I chose the green and yellow. I like the contrast of how they stand out. I love using alphas to create my journaling and titles. They are fun, colorful, and pull the page together with the exact words to express what you want.
Then comes my favorite part, embellishing!
I chose to use lots of rainbows to pair nicely with the background paper as well as the chipboard sunshine, hearts, and flowers! I use foam squares on almost all my embellishments to create all the added depth and dimension. Lastly finishing off the layout with a little Washi tape and acrylic rainbows and clouds.
I hope you enjoyed my idea of Springtime & Sunshine on some of these cloudy days around us!
