Bella Blvd Studio Blog: Mood Board Inspiration

Nathalie with you today to share a bit of Bella Blvd. inspiration that we all need these days. This week, we are working projects inspired on this month's Mood Board.

All the pastels and happy colors are just what we need lately, but nothing is better than a rainbow. So i decided to use it as the main inspiration for my page:

I pulled papers from the Squeeze the Day and Bella Besties collection and use the Rainbow with Cloud cut file to cut all the rainbow stripes and clouds for the background. While the papers were being cut i added a bit of ink to the background so that i can resemble the ski (Distress oxide - Tumbled Glass)

Here, is where i turn on my radio and spent a few hours working on hand stitching each of the images either straight to the background or separately. This helped with add texture and dimension to the page. You can always create a similar effect by distressing the edges of the papers, machine stitching it, or/and adding dimensional adhesive to the back of the pieces.

I set the page so that the picture is set in the middle of two rainbows nestled in the clouds. This time, i choose to keep the picture simple so that it stands from the background and the rainbows pop from the page.

I added extra clouds around the ends of each of the rainbow. Here i used a few of the chipboard stickers and ephemera pieces to add a few details around the page. I added an extra acrylic cloud to the top of the page, behind the picture, and then added the start of my title to the top left corner of the picture -#YOU-.

Then finished the title work using the Florence alphabet stickers to expand my sentence. I made sure to add a bit more color to this part of the page so that it ties all the colors of the page together.
