Hey friends! Erica here with you today and this week we are sharing projects that are inspired by the mood board below!
So I am going to be totally honest and say that this was a little struggle for me but I got it done and love how it came out! So lets talk about what I used from this board as my inspiration! First I noticed the bottom right corner and immediately thought of a grid layout. I then pulled the colors blue, green and the black and white from that same photo! I also pulled some pink in from the photo in the top left corner. I really liked the middle photo with the florals so I knew I would pull in some florals and also the color yellow! This was my starting point so I went into my Bella Blvd stash and started pulling papers and embellishments with the colors I pulled from the mood board! All of the papers I pulled came from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection.
I started with the light blue floral paper from the collection as my base and started to build on that. I also pulled a piece of white cardstock and tore a strip off of each side of the paper. I love the distressed look it gives my layouts and reminds me a little of the photo in the bottom left corner. I adhered the white cardstock down to the floral paper and I love this look! I love the pink in the top left photo so I knew I wanted to pull in a lot of pink to this layout. I decided on this pink polka dot paper from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection and used this to place all my squares for my grid.
I wanted to pull in a little more yellow and blue to the page so I added a couple layers tucked in at the top and bottom of the pink pattern paper. To bring in some black and white I used this amazing script paper and cut them down to 2.5 x 2.5 and arranged on the pink pattern paper. I have 4 photos printed in black and white and they are of Liam Jay and I having fun with some Snapchat filters.
I matted the photos on a piece of green with white dot pattern paper and adhered to the layout. I added a lot of floral die cuts and chipboard stickers from the same collection. There are some gold elements in the mood board that reminded me of shine or sparkle so for my title I went with an acrylic piece from Bella Blvd that says Shine! Here is a look at my completed layout!
I am excited to see all the layouts this week using the mood board and we hope you will join us and use the board as inspiration in an upcoming project! Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day!
